We are pleased to see that Megan was “comfortable” and recognized that she had a “nice place to stay!” We wish that this had been reflected in her behavior during her stay. Megan booked her family of 4, 2 adults, 2 children into our two bedroom rental then showed up with 4 adults and 2 children. We asked about the extra guests and she stated that she did indeed bring her daughter and son in law in addition to the original 4, so we adjusted her reservation accordingly and told her we would come and leave the necessary bedding for the fold out beds which, we did. The next day she texted to say she added another guest for a total of 7 which, is over the legal allowed number of guests for this unit. She was informed that the 7th guest would not be able to stay for the next night but the guest continued to stay anyway. Upon check out we found the oven was left with spilled and burned food in it, chicken bones and sauce were thrown under the sink apparently intended to end up inside the garbage can…which they did not! They did avail themselves of the extra bedding provided for the pull out beds for the “two” extra guests but they had also used the labeled bedding left for the cleaning staff! A set of king sheets on one of the upstairs guest beds was ruined with what appears to be chewing gum! Luckily, this is not typical behavior we have experienced from our guests and we have been hosting for several years! We will not be hosting Megan again.
