The space
With a spacious and refined indoor/outdoor layout, Joya del Mar offers 360 degree views of the Sea of Cortez, Islas del Coronado and Carmen and the Sierra Gigante mountains.
Enjoy a cocktail on the rooftop terrace, use the four seater golf cart to explore Loreto Bay's many restaurants, shops and 18 hole golf course. Or swim, snorkel, paddle board, take a tour of the islands, fish, golf and visit Loreto's historic mission, cave paintings, hiking and beaches.

Great location for a family vacation

The property was better than the pictures conveyed. We found the property manager to be very helpful and responsive. This is one of the best properties we have rented on VRBO.

Luxury Villa in Paradise

We loved staying at Joya Del Mar. There were a few issues while we were there, and the property management team was very responsive and helpful. Some things could use a bit of maintenance, but hopefully they are addressing those things. It was absolutely wonderful having a private, heated pool and a hot tub right on the beach. The property would be great for multiple families, it’s huge!

Amazing stay!!

We loved everything about this stay! A beautiful home in a fantastic location. The bedrooms were spacious & 3 of the 4 rooms had amazing views. There were a ton of outdoor living spaces inside the home. The home was very comfortable & they provided more than enough linens and pillows. The beds were very comfortable. Truly a luxury stay. The pool & beach right out front were fantastic and we went swimming in both daily. The SUPs were great and the golf carts worked perfectly. We loved our stay!

Amazing house in Nopolo

If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful place to visit, look no further than Nopolo. This house is right on the beach and close to plenty of restaurants, and stores. There is a hotel nearby, but a very simple property. A lovely community, very quiet. The house itself is beautiful, with all the fun water toys to enjoy. If you love to paddleboard, this is your place! There is plenty of room to spread out, perfect for 2 or 3 couples. Great pool and jacuzzi, nice outdoor space to enjoy the stars, and perfect weather. Great kitchen if you love to cook. Fully stocked with all of the necessary appliances. We look forward to our return to Nopolo, and hopefully another visit to this fantastic property.

Exceptional Beachfront Home!

This house lives up to the expectations. It's a lot of money, but worth it. Right on the beach, very nicely done, well appointed, clean, private courtyard with pool and spa, 3 beautiful bedrooms with ocean views and comfortable beds (4th bedroom with no view). We had three couples split it and it worked out perfectly. Loreto is the most beautiful part of Baja and the rooftop deck offers 360 degree breathtaking views of the sea and the surrounding mountains. Anything on the beach can be windy, and this home thoughtfully offers sheltered sitting areas (with BBQ). The golf cart is a nice way to explore the local area. You can sit in the hot tub, sip your coffee, and watch the sun rise over the sea, as the pelicans dive for fish right in front of you. Can't imagine how anyone would be disappointed renting this home.

Beautiful location & home

This home is amazing, the pictures really don’t do it justice. The open air living space and pool/spa that are right on the beach is wonderful. So much individual space that it is perfect for 4 couples or multiple families to share. Fabulous vacation...we will be back!

Wanted to stay for a month!

Loved this property. We have been coming to Loreto Bay for years. This house spoiled us. Everything we could ask for plus some. The paddle boards, bikes and golf cart were used everyday. The view of the sea and mountains are amazing 🤩. We had a group of 7 adults and everyone couldn’t believe the beauty of this property. Loreto is a very special place. We will definitely stay at this property again, hopefully every year!!! Thank you for sharing your home.

Family Christmas

We stayed at the property with our adult children over Christmas. It was an ideal layout for plenty of together time and plenty of privacy. There are three large master suite bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and a smaller bunk room that has it's own bathroom, as well. The town of Loreto is quiet and the restaurants that we tried in town were great. You will want a rental car if you plan to go into town often. The Nopolo area is still being developed so there were a few obstacles in that regard (unpaved roads) but nothing that ruined our time there. The restaurants on the property were all very good. Everyone was friendly and it was the perfect place to be together during Covid. Quiet with safety standards in place. Everyone was masked and Covid aware. Literally everything we wanted or needed was on/in the property. The management company stocked our groceries/liquor before our arrival with a list I provided. I would highly recommend this for families or a nice couples getaway. We also golfed at Danzante which was about a thirty minute drive away but well worth the trip.

Fabulous Property

We came for a 60th Birthday with 4 couples. The setting was spectacular with tons of outside seating areas to spend time together or apart. The pool and hot tub were amazing and the proximity to the beach made it easy for us to walk out the door and hop on our stand up boards. The amenities were extensive with anything you may need to make your stay comfortable. This property is hard to beat!

absolutely incredible property

Celebrated my 50th birthday with family and friends at this incredible home! The pictures don't do it justice, it was truly beautiful. There was plenty of room for the 10 of us, kids shared the room with bunkbeds and queen bed. the adults had the other 3 bedrooms.The outdoors spaces were amazing ,from watching the sunrise to enjoying the sunset on the rooftop deck. We had Julios come in one night and cook for us, then the next day his brother picked us up at the beach right in front of the house and took us to Coronado island, where we snorkeled it was beautiful..Loreto was fabulous and we will definitely be back!

All you need is toothbrush and swimsuit.

Photos really don't show the true beauty of this rental. We were a large family eight adults and 5 young kids and at no time did we feel crowded. Plenty of quiet , get away type space . Kudos to the owners for all the toys available for use , the well equipped kitchen and especially the use of a laundry room with extra towels and sheets etc. Our go to man Julio set us up with fishing, snorkeling, birding, and even a photographer for family pics. Grandpa was happy golfing with anyone who wanted to go with him and the ladies were happy to have Catalino( Linno) come over and cook a few fabulous meals. Paddle boarding ,soaking in the hot tub , playing with the little ones in the pool, and sitting around one of the fire pits in the evening, it doesn't get any better!

A Little Slice of Heaven

The Loreto Bay House was an epic retreat for our family. The five of us loved the house and especially Julio the caretaker. He taught us to dive for clams (we would catch and eat a hundred per day just 50' in front of the house), made ceviche with our fish when we returned from fishing, got us taxi's and reservations at excellent restaurants, and over all made the trip one of our great vacations. The house needs little description except for it is all the pictures show and more, it is absolutely beautiful. The only flaw I saw was that they were doing some minor stucco patch work but it was very minor and of no inconvenience.

All comforts taken care of...

We are a small group of 55+ adults, all professional and quite stressed with the frenetic pace of our daily life. We were looking for a luxurious beach side home to relax and recreate. Well, this house exceeded our desires and expectations! it was extremely well appointed, there was no amenity that was overlooked. From our own golf cart, bikes,paddle- boards and as well as a fully stocked gourmet kitchen. The house itself is very comfortable with 3 master suites all overlooking the Sea of Cortez all bedrooms have their own European type A/C units as well as large screen TV's and WI-FI throughout the house. I highly recommend this house, it most definitely allowed us to relax and enjoy it.

Fabulous home and destination

Our first trip to Loretto could not have been better given our fabulous accommodations, great concierge service, gorgeous views, and friendly staff connected to this villa. We are seasoned travelers who enjoy exceptional accommodations and this villa did not disappoint. It exceeded our expectations. Decks galore and breath taking views. We will be back next year!

Best stay ever, again!

We arrived Sunday afternoon and by Tuesday noon we had 75 pounds of yellowtail sashimi, a 20 pound Cabrilla to roast for dinner and 36 holes of golf already in. House was, as always, perfect. Thanks for allowing us to return for the 4th year in a row! Already counting down to next year!

EASY Five Star Review - wish I could give more stars

Absolutely a fantastic villa! Just returned from a 10 day Spring break trip. Two families shared the villa. Each couple enjoyed a wonderful master King suite (three to choose from - all ocean front). The girls (11) were thrilled to have the King suite that the adults didn't choose (they shared the King - but there was a blow up twin available for them if they wanted) and the boys (15 & 14) took the back suite (a bunk bed and a queen). This was our third trip to Mexico with our friends and each time we have rented an ocean front villa. Previously was Cabo & Puerto Vallarta. If you aren't looking for a big city and nightlife - Loreto may be for you. Very nice mellow small town. Found some good restaurants and the girls enjoyed shopping in the town square. The boys completed their scuba certification during the trip and those that went diving said it was amazing. Much better than the diving in our previous Mexico trips. The villa - from the photo's you can see how amazing it is. Private pool & hot tub (a REAL hot tub!) Waking up to the sun rise over the islands in the Sea of Cortez was magical. At the end of the day we would enjoy drinks on the top sun deck (3rd level) with the fire pit and watch the sun set in the beautiful mountains behind the home. What I did not realize until our arrival was the community where the villa is located - fantastic! It is about 15 minutes away from Loreto ($20 taxi each way). There is one main street down the center of the community and the rest is cobble stone paths for walking, biking and using the golf cart. Simply a gorgeous community with a handy general store (they deliver!) and some restaurants (some were just ok but El Corazon - the coffee shop - had great food & smoothies for breakfast and lunch). What really put this place over the top was Julio - the concierge. I figured he would help us find the house and take our bags and we wouldn't see him again. Not true. We saw Julio several times each day. He would stop by to see how we were and if we needed anything. He gave us his cell # and told us to contact him anytime. He hooked us up with a friend that was a taxi driver, got fishing poles and bait for the boys and found locals that we hired as chef's for several days. He really made the trip magical. After a week back home and thinking about this trip - I really have nothing negative to say about the villa. We will definitely be back.

Chocalate Clams in Loreto

A delightful stay all around for our whole family and friends! The villa was spacious, beautifully decorated, and open. The kitchen was well equipped for all meals. Many other nice extras such as pool toys, games, and paddle boards. The appliances were modern and the outdoor areas were plentiful. Our concierge couldn't have been any more helpful and even made us fresh margaritas and prepared us the tastiest yellowtail shashimi! We opted for the chef that was recommended and she was outstanding! We had everything from fresh lobster, to shrimp, to our new favorite, chocolate clams.

What a beautiful, tranquil place! The setting, right on the beach was wonderful – waking up to the sun rising over the Sea of Cortez was a real pleasure. The house is great, a really comfortable combination of indoor and outdoor areas. We had 4 couples in our group, and we each had our own “space” (including our own bathroom), and the common area was big enough and appointed well enough that we never felt crowded or inconvenienced. The village surrounding the house and the village of Loreto offered the best in traditional Mexican hospitality. What a great vacation!!!! Christine Turney

Our family spent a wonderful Thanksgiving week at this fabulous house in Loreto Bay. The house is well equipped, a great kitchen, beautiful decor, pool and spa, and views of the Sea and mountains from every level. With 5 grandkids with us, the pool and spa and all of the water toys were put to good use. Although it was hard to get everyone to leave the house, we did go on a fishing expedition and a trip to Loreto (2 taxies) for lunch and sightseeing. It was the first time deep sea fishing for the little kids, and everyone was able to catch a fish. The concierge service was most helpful He arranged taxies, fishing, a chef, and about anything else you could need. The owners rep. (Megan) was also very helpful in making this vacation a complete success. Loreto Bay is a quiet, friendly, village, with a coffee house, some good restaurants, a wine bar, all within walking or golf cart distance from the house. We are all going to return, to Loreto Bay and to this great property.

Great time in Loreto

What a great trip and the house was spectacular! When we opened the gates to the house one of our kids looked at me and said " this is going to be our best trip ever"!!! I must admit this was our best trip and look forward to making many more memories at this great house on the sand. Usually when you look at vacation spot or home on line you expect a let down when you arrive...was I ever wrong! This house is fully stocked with great appliances, enough serving dishes to entertain and not to mention every suite was perfect! We will be coming back for years to come and would highly recommend this location. Did I mention we caught 9 dorado one day fishing? Great times!
