Colonial Beach Retreat

Renovated 1920's era house with a front view and access to the Potomac River, and a 40-yard walk to the river's edge. Walking distance to the sand beaches, The Dockside Restaurant, free boat ramp, and Colonial Beach Yacht Center. Golf carts are legal to drive on the roads, and available to rent. Off-track and sports gambling is available at The River Boat. Huge flat yard with plenty of parking. Fenced-in backyard for the pups. All new appliances. Well-stocked new kitchen with plenty of cookware, and everything you need to prepare any meal. Keurig coffee maker, blender, toaster, etc. Tons of off-street parking for cars, boat trailers, ATV trailers, etc.
Plenty of room in the house for air mattresses. All new mattresses and appliances.
The house sleeps 8 on 4 new memory foam queen beds.

Perfectly Relaxing Labor Day Weekend

Lots of room for everyone, comfortable beds, plenty of bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen are just a start to the many wonderful qualities of this home! We loved our long Labor Day weekend here!

Great Space for a Family Reunion

We were in Colonial Beach for a wedding at Westmoreland SP. It's about 25 minute drive away, but CB offered some nice extras...shopping, beach, playground. The home was nice and large...space to spread out. Cottage was particularly cute with 2 extra Queen beds.

Exceptional home away from home

A very spacious and welcoming home. Our family and friends spent Labor Day Weekend in the home and we had a great time. The location is ideal and only a short walk to the beach and local restaurants. We had a large group and the parking was ideal with more than enough parking for vehicles, boats, and seadoos. The condition of the home is well maintained and the owner includes many nice touches to include a welcome basket. All bedding is provided for the comfortable beds and towels are provided in the newly updated bathrooms. The home also has a full size washer and dryer. The kitchen is very well stocked and has all of the basic needs. The courtyard is fenced in for pets. Also has a large propane grill and a table with an umbrella as well. The front and side yard is large and perfect for yard games. We also spent our nights around the propane cozy fire pit. Overall we had an awesome experience and all communication with Tom was prompt and he readily addressed all of our needs. We will definitely be coming back!

July 4th 2023 family vacation

We had a very nice family vacation. The house had plenty of room and was very well stocked with everything you needed to relax and enjoy time together. We didnt like the jellyfish in the water but loved riding on the golf cart.The fireworks display near the pier was so wonderful to watch to celebrate our Country. The agents were very pleasant and helpful making our reservation. Check-in was easy and if you had any questions they were always eger to help you.

Cute place! Close to a beach

The house was very clean and has everything we needed. Plenty of paper goods, bed were very comfortable, propane grill worked wonderfully and plenty of room to spread out. The house is close to two beaches and renting a gold cart made out stay so much more convenient.

Fun family weekend

We gathered for Easter weekend at this quaint little clean and well-appointed house near the pretty water, where we cooked, played lots of games, relaxed to watch old movies and laughed a lot!

Next Time We'll Stay Longer

Just loved this place. Our family was visiting the Newburg, MD area for a wedding. We needed space for 4 families. What a find! Situated in a quiet neighborhood just a stone's throw from the Potomac, we enjoyed many individual runs and family walks and watched the sun rise and set over the Potomac. The house was very clean and spacious with every furnishing and amenity you would want. The sheets were glorious and the beds were comfortable. The laundry room had everything we needed and then some. We especially appreciated all the gathering places for a large family or group. One of our daughters remarked that the house was like 3 private apartments with common areas for eating, playing, or just relaxing. We also took advantage of the 2 bedroom cottage on the property to accomodate those who needed more space or solitude to work. The wifi served our needs for homework and work from home. We had a little trouble with the Roku TVs but only because our TV people have never used them before.The only concerns we had were a few non-working lamps and the light fixture over the coffee/business area (seemed to be shorting out ). We would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Tom!

Tough Mudder Weekend

The house was amazing. Plenty of room, lots of chairs, outdoor tables and chairs. River views, plenty of parking. Really a great rental. Would highly recommend.

Nice home in a good location

We rent our home through Vrbo in Corolla, NC and understand how hard it is to maintain a clean and comfortable vacation rental. The owners have done a great job. We really love the extra touches that they provided like a huge snack basket upon arrival. We were able to even have a late check out which was great!

Good family property.

We enjoyed our stay but wished there were a few primarily kitchen items that are staples in the other properties qe have stayed in. There were no measuring spoons and only 1 measuring cup that required us to purchase more. We were hoping for some basics like foil, cooking oil or spray, some spices perhaps and for a beach property, maybe a tent or toys for the little ones. We made numerous trips to the store for these items and they aren't expensive but it was inconvenient. The back patio needed some cleaning and the picnic table needs some sanding and a new paint job. The host was very communicative and the process was easy...just a few minor tweaks and it could have been better.

Lovely beach house

Great place, lovely rap-around deck, comfortable beds, and astounding number of osprey nests in walking distance to sweet river beaches. We were a small group but can imagine coming back with larger family group.

It's a beautiful town, and this house is big, convenient to the beach and a beautiful water view from the enclosed porch seating area. Plenty of parking, and a fenced-in back yard. The golf cart rentals are very popular, and you can drive them all over town.
