Cozy Lake Access Cabin with Hot Tub and Fire Pit!

Welcome to The Hideaway at Lakeside Memories—your cozy escape on a private 40-acre retreat bordering Lake Catherine. Enjoy 2,000 feet of shoreline, wooded trails, creeks, and plenty of space to explore. The lake is just a short walk down the hill, where you’ll find picnic spots, fire pits, hammocks, benches, and quiet places to relax. Kayaks, paddle boards, and a pedal boat are provided, along with indoor and outdoor games for all ages. Spend your days fishing, boating, swimming, wildlife watching, or wandering the property.

Roads and the driveway were newly reconfigured in November 2025 for easier access.

Inside, The Hideaway is designed for comfort and simplicity. It features two king bedrooms, a sleeping loft with a full bed (ideal for kids 5+), and two full futons in the living area. The full bath includes plush towels, soap, and shampoo. The kitchen is fully stocked and includes a dishwasher, electric range, microwave, drip coffee maker, and refrigerator with ice maker. Outside, a charcoal grill and picnic area await.

The cabin includes AC/heat, an all-season fireplace, and a large deck overlooking the surrounding mountains and woods—perfect for your morning coffee. Satellite TV, games, books, movies, and a Blu-ray player are provided for easy downtime.

Wildlife is everywhere at Lakeside Memories—deer, squirrels, chipmunks, ducks, geese, and even bald eagles make frequent appearances. Seasonal berries grow throughout the property, and “Big Pine Point” features one of the largest pine trees in the state.

Bring your boat and enjoy the dock. Beach towels, life jackets, lake toys, and firewood are all provided.

Please note: There is no WiFi at The Hideaway. We like to say it offers the best kind of connection—time with family, friends, nature, or simply yourself. (Good cell service and personal hotspots work if needed.)

Seasonal Lake Levels: Lakes Catherine and Hamilton undergo a winter drawdown each year (November through March 15), so expect lower lake levels during this time.

Mark and Lori made sure we had all fhe information about the place and the surrounding area that we need. Rhe cabin was perfect. Even though it rained during our stay. In was a nice getaway. ND We will definitely be back.

Mark and Lori were absolutely wonderful hosts. Their property is perfectly designed for a relaxing, activity-filled family vacation. We brought our son and niece, and there was never a dull moment — between the kayaks, paddle boards, hiking trails, volleyball, and farm animals, we were constantly having fun. We even kayaked all the way to Lake Catherine right from the property!The setting is gorgeous and peaceful — so much so that we took family photos right on-site because the backdrop was just too beautiful to pass up. The cabin was spotless, cozy, and fully stocked with everything we could have needed (and more). I definitely overpacked — they provided charcoal, s’mores supplies, dishes, laundry detergent, and so many thoughtful extras that made our stay effortless.The location is ideal: it feels private and secluded, yet you’re only about 15 minutes from great restaurants and attractions, and around 45 minutes from Mount Ida, where we went crystal digging.The only note I’d mention is that the road from the cabin to the lake is steep, so next time we’ll bring an all-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicle. That said, we managed fine in our minivan and didn’t mind the walk — the hosts even provide wagons for hauling gear.Between the hot tub, stargazing on the balcony, and the endless activities for kids, it truly felt like a mom’s dream getaway. The kids never once mentioned the lack of internet — they were too busy exploring and playing. We can’t wait to come back!!!

Cabin was perfect for what we were looking for. Lots of time spent on the lake swimming and kayaking, though my calves are still complaining about the hill down. A nice convenient drive away from all that the Hot Springs offers yet secluded enough to take time to reconnect during our anniversary.

Check in was simple. Host responded to messages very quickly. The cabin was very clean. Only downfall is there is no wifi out there but its expected conaidering the location. Would stay there again.

To far from lake

The lake was a ways from the house. Had to drive to get to it. Road was too steep to walk down with children and back up. So steep was fearful of children falling or slipping and roll down to the bottom on rocks. Was disappointed with the description of the property. The picnic and swimming dock area was even further away. My grandkids used the spa because it was close and safer. Property manager came by very upset because the spa cover off and I did not respond to her email. I was on vacation, checking my emails was not a priority and was rude and sharp to my daughter. The cabin was nice and clean but not "by the lake" as described, also the harassment of the property manager spoiled our stay.

Little cabin in the woods

This property was secluded and had a private path that goes to a peaceful spot on the water. The amenities by the water were a great idea! It looks like they are building another cabin on the same road and id love to return again with the kids so they can enjoy it as well! Cant wait to go back and stay longer!

So much fun! Beautiful and Peaceful!

We very much enjoyed our stay! The cabin is adorable and extremely spacious- easily fitting our group of 7 with plenty of room left over. Beautifully decorated and the beds and bedding were soft and comfortable. The hot spring water in the fridge was such a thoughtful and welcome touch! The paddle boards and kayaks were a HUGE bonus and the highlight of the stay! As was the hot tub. The only downside was the walk to the lake. I should have more clearly read previous reviews about it so that’s on me- but it was an extremely steep hill down then a rough and tiring hike back up to the cabin which was especially rough with two younger children and my older mother. We ran into the hosts a couple times while playing outside and they were friendly and quick to check on if we were having fun or in need or any more firewood. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others (with a word of warning about the hill)! : )

“Hideaway”

Says it sleeps 10 and is portrayed as lakeside. It does not sleep 10 and is not lakeside. We also were promised a hideaway but supposedly had noise complaints from the neighbors across. Put all the dishes in dish washer stripped sheets off beds and put in front of washer a long with towels. Cleaned all the trash up and was still forced to pay a cleanliness fee.

Relaxing getaway

Mark and Lori are awesome host, property was more than we expected, great fishing, and reflecting on the day around the campfire, relaxing in the hot tub with family will have lasting memories for us, would highly recommend Mark and Lori’s relaxing getaway cabins.I would recommend 4x4’s or atv for the trip to the kayak’s and dock, we were glad that I had brought my lifted 4x4.Would definitely stay again.Horton family

Was great at first but then we noticed roaches at this house. Did not want to bring these home with us so we asked for a refund and owner was nice enough to give us a refund for part of our stay.

Super property

My family had a great time at this cabin and the hosts were very responsive and helped with any inquiries or questions we had while we stayed. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit and made good use of the kayaks that are on property. The cabin itself was a pleasure to stay in and we enjoyed the amenities including the patio. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. As some others have mentioned, there is a little bit of a walk down to the water from the cabin and the incline is somewhat steep, but shouldn’t be a problem for an active family. I wouldn’t bring someone to this property who might have difficulty navigating such an incline. All in all this is a fantastic property with so much to offer, including being in very close proximity to Hot Springs itself and other attractions, and I would highly recommend it if you’re thinking of visiting Hot Springs.
