I’ve been a loyal VRBO user since 2012 and have stayed in properties all over the country. Unfortunately, like Uber, I’ve noticed a steady decline in quality over the years. This particular home was disappointing. It was dirty upon arrival, with cluttered junk drawers, a backyard full of broken items that should have been discarded, and an overall sense of disorganization. While the beds were comfortable, the house itself felt more like someone’s primary residence than a vacation rental. My kids even referred to it as a “grandma’s house”, full of personal belongings and outdated decor. The master bathroom, for example, had a fake partition awkwardly hiding items that should’ve been cleared out. This isn’t a true VRBO rental; it’s clearly a home the owners live in and rent out when they’re away. I hate leaving negative reviews, but this place is definitely not “exceptional” as the listing suggests. It’s okay, maybe even good, but nowhere near what we expected based on the rating.
