The property had great amenities and was a beautiful drive away from the national park. The drive was about an hour from the Appalachian Trail and the drive through the park was stunning from the house. Coming back to the house after long days granted luxurious living room and hot tub for hanging out and relaxing!

I booked this property based upon two things…. The view and the hot tub. Ot has a great view but the hot tub was a disaster and appeared it had not been in working order in some amount of time given its terrible condition. Overall the house has good space, but it needs a considerable amount of TLC. Simply put it needs some maintenance or the price point should be more commensurate with the quality of the accommodations.
The owner attempted to convince me they had no prior complaints about the non-working hot tub.
I contacted the owner upon arrival to let her know the hot tub was a disaster. I was only at the house for 2 nights and the owner said they didnt send someone to repair because I didnt send them photos. Well here are your photos I sent at checkout.
Nice view. Shares a driveway with a bigger house next door. I.e. not secluded.

We enjoyed the cabin, check in/out was easy. The view of the landscape is amazing out the front of the cabin. No real concerns with the cabin, everything was as stated in the description. Basics were all there for us. I would just note that the driveway, as stated in the description is STEEP(legitimately steep), like alot of the mountain cabins in the area. I would recommend getting there in daylight the first time so you have a proper grasp of it.

The recliner was broke the double doors on the first level don't work they're broke it just comes open automatically kitchen table chair is broke the ceiling fan some of them do not work the hot tub on the outside of the house does not work there's a lot of stuff with the games in the basement does not work toilet paper holders in the bathroom are broken the ice maker is broken in the refrigerator it needs maintenance in there it all of these items was broken before we got there

The property listed a gas fire pit on the deck. That was not there. The front door was broken so entry had to be made through the basement door. The main reason for renting this place was a mobility impaired that requires a recliner to sleep. The recliner is broken. The other chairs in the living room are to dirty to sit it. The ice maker does not work. The shower in the master. Bedroom is missing one of the doors. The toilet paper and towel holders are ripped off the walls. The hot tub was ice cold and full of debris. The deck is rotten and you have to be careful where you step. The heat was on wide open when we arrived and it was 84 in the house we had to sit outside and wait for it to cool down. Contacts the management and was told that the fireplace had to be removed per the city but it was still in the photos. Tried to contact them about all the other issues but they never answered. The outside is run down at best. The WiFi was off and it took sometime to resolve so the tv would work. The house was reasonably clean. The views are spectacular. Too bad our stay was such a disappointment and the management does not care at all. Spend your money somewhere else. I have plenty more pictures of issues but they will only let me load 8

We had a great time here in the Smokys on our annual fall trip. However, our stay wasn’t as pleasant. The cabin has so much potential but has many things that need to be addressed. Listed below are things that I found:1. Broken recliner in living room.2. Broken door handle. Seems the have been broken for sometime and should be addressed.3. Carpet in bedrooms on main level carpet is filthy.4. Main floor tub drain does not work to hold water in tub.5. Master bathroom shower door is missing.6. Hole in wall on stairwell leading to lower level.7. Pac-Man game does not work.8. Lower level fireplace does not work.9. Entry to lower level is very uneven and could lead to a fall especially when wet.10. Main level deck fireplace not present as described in photos. Misleading.Due to these issues I will not be able to give a high review rating. These “little” things are what either brings folks back or turns them away. The cabin is in a beautiful spot and, if attended to correctly, would be a top rental property in this area.Before making this post, I contacted the property owner so as to not blindside them. Many of my complaints are the same as previous guests. And others should have been identified and corrected prior to our stay.I cannot recommend this cabin to anyone until the owners have made the necessary corrections. There are other cabins in the same price point, and even lower, that are in far better condition.Dave G.

The cabin was beautiful and very private. Very comfortable with the exception of the bunk beds and the sleep sofa. Sleep sofa needs a mattress, it is not usable. The door handles kept coming off even after a repaiman visited. Also only one half of a shower door on the master shower. Was not notified of this prior to arriving. Very steep incline to the property. We had a few problems but most were resolved.

For the most part property is as it appears in the listing however, it should be noted: This property is not for anyone with mobility issues. The driveway is extremely steep. The sidewalk is unkept and very uneven, and landscaping has not been maintained. No gas fireplace and large table outside as pictured.There are several small maintenance items that should be addressed such as Loose outdoor light fixtures, loose and rotted floorboards on deck, hot tub cover was busted, microwave handle loose, front door handle was broken, stove light hot surface indicator stays on- even when stove is not being used, nozzle in bathroom master bath is not connected to the tub, game system did not work, gate does not open and close without being lifted. Cabin could use a good dusting and vacuuming of the bedrooms.

Beautiful setting, beautiful cabin. Very spacious, lots of amenities, could use a little TLC, otherwise really enjoyed the stay there. Also instructions on tv and fan remote controls would have been helpful.

Property was well stocked with everything in the kitchen needed to cook and serve 6 people. Having the upstairs master was nice for the folks that had an infant as it is large enough for a portable crib and away from the main area. Hot tub worked well and main living area was big enough for the 6 adults and one infant. Worked out well for the group. Exterior needs a little TLC but didn't affect the good time that was had by all. The firepit was not there. The driveway is very steep and parking can be dicey as the adjacent property was also occupied. Convenient to the Townsend Area. For the cost was a good deal.

Disastrous Rental - False Information

“Our stay at this rental was disappointing. While it provided basic amenities like a bed and a hot shower, several advertised features were either broken or unavailable, including the hot tub, door, ice maker, faucet, dining chairs, outdoor fire pit (no propane), and grill (empty propane). The game room was poorly maintained, with no darts for the dartboard, no sand for the shuffleboard, missing balls for the bumper pool, and a non-functional electric fireplace. Communication with the host was also lacking, which added to our frustration. We expected better upkeep and responsiveness for the price.”

Very nice place, beautiful views

This property was nice and as advertised. It was clean and well stocked. The views were incredible and the atmosphere peaceful. The only negatives were the broken front door, which was broken and made getting in and out of the deck area difficult, difficulty in accessing areas for the dog to go out, and the very steep driveway that made getting in and out an adventure. We were made aware of the broken door right before we arrived. It was not a big issue, but was a bit of a nuisance. The neighbor next door had a lot of cars during our stay which made getting in and out more difficult. Without our 4 wheel drive I'm not sure if we'd have been able to make it up, even in September with no snow. There is one spot to park a car that is sort of flat, but it would have been a difficult transition if my parents had traveled with us as originally planned. The only way to access the yard where the dog could relieve himself, we had to go out the lower level and then brave the steep driveway to get to the grass. If you have any mobility limitations, taking a dog out would be very difficult. That being said, the views were spectacular after the rain from the Hurricane had passed. The house was in a great location and looked exactly as advertised. We wouldn't stay here again because of the driveway and dog access, but it worked well for our needs for this weekend.

Not enough info before stay

First, I want to say the view was amazing, but that is about the best thing I can say. We were not told about certain things, like how steep the driveway was until we were well on our way to the property. There was also a problem with things not working like tv remotes, master bath toilet handle was broken, bed remote for tempur-pedic didn’t work. The game room didn’t have darts, and the sunroom cushions were visibly moldy and not usable. We came for a family get away and had we not brought our own games it would have been a miserable experience. We had instructions for the fire table but there was no propane or a lighter. Couldn’t use the outside table for dining because it was so warped. I thought the telescope used in the photos would also be there, I feel like it was a deceiving way to get someone to rent the property. Going forward more transparency should be used. It wasn’t one of our best vacations. Host could have communicated about these things and we might could have made it a better experience if we had known about some of these issues up front.

Beautiful Views with this Smoky Mountain Home

We booked this peaceful, cozy cabin to visit our brother who lives in the area. True statement in that the views are incredible! The wraparound deck that includes a portion that is a screened in porch was amazing. The cabin was as advertised with bedrooms, bathrooms and living space on each level and nicely appointed. There were a few minor repairs needed which the Alisa made known. Communication with Alisa and check-in/out was easy, and she always responded quickly to my many questions. They are not joking the driveway is STEEP but there are two level parking spots available with one conveniently close to the cabin for unloading. Make sure to lock vehicle doors... as one of us did not and a bear got in... no damage, just mud so it makes for a good story... :) All in all, we had a great visit and new memories!
