Very cozy.

Very homey feeling to the whole property. Location is awesome, close enough to the downtown fun without burning too much gas, but far enough to enjoy a quiet setting. The interior aesthetic gives it a warm vibe with personal touch you won’t get from hotel rooms of any kind. On top of all it is reasonably priced which is fantastic in the world of today. 100% would stay here again!

6/10 Okay

Big space, good for a family of adults who all need space. However it seemed very cluttered and dusty. There were cobwebs in the corners of doorways and on some furniture. Host was very responsive to a few issues during the stay however there were rugs and floor mats all over that are tripping hazards.

Cleanliness needs work

The place was well situated to our needs (family event). There were 4 in our party. The place was large, well appointed. A large school yard faced the back deck making for a peaceful greenspace (maybe less peaceful at recess time). The decorations were quirky, to say the least. Curtains were hung in the oddest places. Lots of throw rugs, but all were covered with plastic mats, which present a tripping hazard. The biggest problem was the kitchen, which was not clean. Every horizontal surface was dusty and sticky. The dishes in the cupboards, and the cupboard liners were sticky. We had to run all of the dishes we planned to use through the dishwasher, and never put them back in the cupboard (we left all the dishes we used clean when we checked out, and post-it notes on all the problem areas The bathroom shower and tiles could use some bleach. The smoke alarm was not installed on the hallway ceiling, but was instead lying on the fridge in the kitchen, presumably not functioning. The manager took our feedback on cleanliness, thanked us for it and said they would try to do better. They gave us a small credit for our troubles.

Believe the other reviews regarding cleanliness

This is a two-story home located behind a grade school. The home is in need of a professional deep cleaning, replacement of some blinds, and replacement of the cracked and broken steps leading to the second floor. The glass cabinet had a broken glass pane. I took lots of pictures. I expected the Host to meet us at check in. I texted Terry Moore, because that is who is listed as the host, asking if he was going to be there at the check in time of 3pm. I received a reply from Annie welcoming us to the house. The code given was correct and worked without issue. The home, however, was filthy. There was feces dried and caked on the bathtub, the shower curtains were dirty, there was dried toothpaste spray on the bathroom mirror and picture next to the bathroom sink, there was a rotten onion half in a basket in the kitchen, there was dust and cobwebs all over the house, and one of the upstairs bedroom stank of stale cigarette smoke. We also tried to use the washer, and it was not draining or cleaning the clothes. I waited and texted Annie the next morning about the issues and she sent a very rude reply stating that it was too early for me to send her a text. She did come to the house, but I had already cleaned the bathrooms and put the comforter and blankets from the cigarette bedroom outside to air out. She said it took her 2 days to clean the house and acknowledged knowing the washer was broken before we arrived. But she did not get it fixed or tell us before our arrival.

we booked this place for a group of 6 adults from July 1st-july 5th.Pros: property exactly as listed. no problem with cleanliness, location, communication, pricing or checking inCONS: AC didn't work July 1st, 2nd or 3rd , started working on July 4TH around 1pm. How it all unfolded:Out of 6ppl, 1 person checked in on July 1st around 11pm , stayed in the basement , left early next day and didnt notice that the AC is not working. When the rest 5ppl arrived July 2nd around midnight the inside temp was 91 degrees. messaged the host at around 1am. host replies next morning that technician will come fix it. around 2pm informed us it couldn't' be fixed until next day and offered us 50% discount and 2 portable AC's AND 1 foldable bed in the basement which we all accepted. waited until 4pm , foldable bed arrived but no AC arrived, messaged host again, she said there are 2 portable ACs "use it as u wan to" and " BASEMENT IS COOL NO NEED OF AC " ( exactly her words , have proof in verbo chat). Called VRBO , after around 90mins of discussion and sending them pictures of thermostat and 2 fans already present on property which the host was calling "portable AC " host came to property in person and brought 2 portable AC that was leaking water . had to place a bucket at the back which needed emptying every couple of hours. we still accepted it . next day technician had to change the whole HVAC which was 24 yrs old .Host DEFINITELY KNEW this problem, refunded us 275 out of 1190USD.
