Great family week space

We were three generations, six in all. Grandparents in the king room, parents in the queen, and two kids in the (full) bunk beds. Plenty of room for all and covered parking for three vehicles. We did some cooking and the kitchen was well-equipped for it, including a gas grill on the ground (which we did not use). Nice swimming pool. Very nice development (Coral Reef) of about 20-25 homes, very quiet, well-kept and maintained, a few miles outside of Rockport so a very short ride to the beach there and to our chartered fishing near Big Tree but also convenient to Aransas, the ferry and that beach too. Many restaurant choices. We had a great time and would definitely stay here (both the property and the location) again.

Welcome to The Nautica Retreat, proudly hosted by Big State Living, a small family-run property management company based in Rockport, Texas.

Our family believes that travel experiences should feel personal, comfortable, and memorable. Rather than operating dozens of properties, we focus on carefully managing a small number of homes so that every guest receives thoughtful service and a well-prepared stay.

The Nautica Retreat is a family-owned home, and we take pride in maintaining it the way we would want a place prepared for our own family vacation. From cleanliness and comfort to simple details that make your stay easier, our goal is to create an environment where guests can relax and enjoy the Texas coast.

By staying here, you are also supporting a local family and small business, something we are deeply grateful for. We truly appreciate every guest who chooses to stay with us and we work hard to make each visit enjoyable and memorable.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

We chose Coral Reef Cottages because it captures the relaxed coastal lifestyle that makes Rockport such a special place to visit.

The neighborhood is quiet, welcoming, and perfectly located for exploring the area. Guests can easily reach Rockport Beach, the harbor, fishing charters, restaurants, art galleries, and local shops within just a few minutes.

At the same time, Coral Reef Cottages offers a peaceful place to return after a day of adventure. The community layout, shared pool, and coastal cottage style create a comfortable setting where families and friends can relax together.

It’s the type of neighborhood where mornings start slow, afternoons are spent on the water or at the beach, and evenings end with good food and coastal breezes.

この宿泊施設の特徴

The Nautica Retreat stands out because it blends the comfort of a family-owned coastal cottage with the care and service of a locally managed property.

Many vacation homes are managed by large companies, but our approach is different. We focus on creating a home that feels welcoming, clean, and thoughtfully prepared for each guest. Small details—from the nautical theme to the layout designed for relaxing and gathering—are meant to make your stay feel easy and enjoyable.

The home is also part of the Coral Reef Cottages community, which gives guests access to a shared pool and a charming coastal atmosphere that is difficult to find in larger developments.

Most importantly, we want every guest to leave Rockport with great memories of their trip to the Texas coast. Our goal is simple: provide a comfortable place where families and friends can slow down, enjoy the coast, and experience the best of Rockport.
