Stay in an A-frame chalet in the charming village of Little Switzerland breathtaking views from the hot-tub on deck. Plenty of space for the family/families with pool table, foosball & air hockey.We ARE NOT suitable for children under 5 due to the spiral staircase/deck.
NO pets or parties without the owners perm. Special winter notes:ALL Vehicles must have 4 wheel drive/all wheel in the event of a storm.

You will not find a more breathtaking view in all of Western North Carolina!This is a 3 story A frame with 3 beds, 3 baths and another sleeping area. It was built in 1969 and is oozing with mid century charm. Amazing views from every level - you can see for hundreds of miles and all the layers of the blue ridge mountains. West Elm and Mitchell Gold furniture. Sleep Number beds in the two main rooms allow for customized mattresses. King extra large bed in master loft.Two other queens plus 4 twins (one bunk). Room for 2-3 couples or small families. Beds are covered in French linen sheets and duvets with Pendleton throws for Chalet charm! Kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook any meal including Thanksgiving! Waffle makers and blenders. Decked out coffee bar and fun bar cart allow space for all of your entertainment. The coffee bar comes with free Nespresso pods - iced or hot, your choice! The home has 50+ board games for good old fashioned family fun.

My family spent Christmas 2025 here and thoroughly enjoyed it. We absolutely loved our stay here! The place was clean, peaceful, and incredibly comfortable, and the mountain views were just stunning. The hosts were wonderful — very responsive, thoughtful, and even put up Christmas decorations, which made our holiday stay feel extra special.They were also extremely helpful and patient, even when I reached out on Christmas evening. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing, quiet getaway with beautiful views.

One of the best views we have ever had. We stay in the mountains every year and this was by far the best veiw. You can veiw the sunrise and sunset from the deck. Private, yet 10 minutes from a nice little city with just about anything you need. The host was very attentive to any queries. The house is well maintained and has been, i believe, been updated in the last 5 or so years. I would highly recommend. Plenty of space for a couple families with kids. We vrbo a lot and have found that you cant trust many pics, these are better than advertised.

We had a Wonderful and Relaxing stay at the Fox and Hen! The hosts provided so many comforting things. When we would think of something we might need, it was already there. The detailed instructions that were given in advance to enter the home, use the hot tub, fireplace, places to hike and restaurants to visit, etc were very helpful. Great attention to detail! The comfort of the entire home and the views from the home, back deck of the mountains were above and beyond Gorgeous! Warm, cozy, inviting and lovely would describe this Fantastic get away! My added favorite part was using my 4x4 to navigate the roads to the home...so FUN! Thank you for sharing your Lovely Home, Hospitality, Kindness and Generosity! We cannot thank you enough! We look forward to bringing out family here one day.

Everything was great except the water pressure, consistency of the WiFi and the driveway. I got a lot of scratches on my 2025 F250 due to over grown trees, shrubs etc.

Beautiful weekend getaway

House and property looked great. NIce and secluded with beautiful views. The kitchen is well stocked and has all of the basics for meal preparation. They also gave ample soap and paper goods as well. 5/5 would stay again.

Gorgeous house in a gorgeous area

It was hard to do anything other than sit on the deck or in the hot tub. It's a gorgeous area and the house layout worked really well for our two families. Watching the stars from the hot tub is a magical experience.

A fantastic friends trip

Three of us friends had a really great time in this unique place! The deck and views are incredible - we kept talking about how they were so beautiful they looked fake! We cooked there and had everything we needed. There was plenty of space for us to relax and the smart TVs were great. We enjoyed the town of Little Switzerland, spent ab afternoon in Asheville and had a great time at the alpine coaster (get the 3-pack!). We will definitely be back!!!

Stunning Mountain View’s

We’ll maintained and updated property which would be great for a family or getaway for just the two of you. My husband and I enjoyed the views and hot tub. The beds and living area were great for snuggling up in the evenings and it was the perfect home base with access to Little Switzerland, Spruce Pine and the North Cove area. Highly recommend!!

A nice stay

We have been staying at this house for years, but this was our first stay since the new owners purchased it. The rental price hike was steep, especially for just two or four guests. They made some nice, simple cosmetic updates in the loft, which were long overdue. Our friends we invited to join us stayed in the main level bedroom and said the mattress was terribly uncomfortable, so I felt bad about that. The kitchen and upstairs bathroom need blinds or a shade, especially since one of the exterior cameras on that side of the house unnecessarily points directly toward the house, which is a bit creepy. The view from the deck is still one of the best. Based on VRBO’s rating system, I gave it a 5-star rating, but I wanted to be honest and provide the best feedback I can.

Motorcycle trip

Our stay was short but wonderful! The chalet is as described and pictured, it is very clean and welcoming. The view was unbelievable and sitting on the deck was a treat for your soul. The only issue we had was a trailer and a motorcycle, the road in is not friendly to either of those. This property is a gem but Austin, is a person of such kindness and integrity that meeting him even via email made the trip that much better. Go!! It’s awesome!

Great views and lovely home

An amazing view of the mountains, easy access to the parkway, and the home was a great mix of old character and modem comfort. Great for a family reunion in the mountains.

We had a great time

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in The Fox and Hen Den. The house was a pleasure to stay in ( the view is, of course, spectacular) location was perfect for hiking and gem mining and other things we enjoy. The Air hockey and foosball tables were great for the downtimes. Will definitely consider renting this house again.

Great New Start!!

We had a blast! The house was so cool & loved the spiral staircase. The deck, table & chairs, hot tub and the view were perfect! Definitely one of the most enjoyable and relaxing vacation trips I have ever taken. Enjoyed visiting Spruce Pine, NC and the area. Definitely will come back! Thank you for a fantastic weekend!!

Beautiful mountain getaway

This gorgeous home in Little Switzerland has fantastic views including a wonderful vista directly visible from inside the hot tub. Nothing beats having a hot coffee in the hot tub while taking in the view if the mountains to start your morning. For families, there is also a wide variety of activities at the home, including Foosball, Pool, Air Hockey, and board games.

There is no better view in Little Switzerland and possibly North Carolina! Enjoy 3 separate levels all with expansive views. The large deck is perfect for relaxing on chaise lounges, dining or sitting in the hot tub perched on the edge of the mountain. You are centrally located to all the best small towns and 1 mile to the Little Switzerland town center. Stay in or go out for a hike and hit a brewery in any of the neat small towns all within a 20-30 minute drive. We are a few feet off the Blue Ridge Parkway.
