Wonderful long weekend stay! Home was very clean no issues. 5-minute walk to the beach plus having the pool was a big bonus. Plenty of room to relax both inside and outside the home. Would definitely stay again, the beach at this end of the island is great.

Excellent location, comfortable beds and very clean. Our rep, David, was quick to respond to all inquiries. Check-in details were made available in a reasonable amount of time. The rental was as promised online, and we were within minutes of walking to the beach! We will be coming back to Anna Maria Island (for the BEST fish, cheesecake, pizza, and Dunkin Donuts coffee), and we will be looking to stay at this residence again.

Fun stay!

Was a great property with close access to the public beach. Only comment was that to access the pool, you had to go out the main entrance above the garage and go outside through the gated backyard rather than direct access from inside the house. Loved all the decor, comfortable beds and oversized bathrooms!

Close to the beach

This house was in the perfect location for us- just a short 1/2 block to the beach, and in a quieter part of the island. Pine Ave distance was walkable, but we also got bikes for 2 days. Love the other options for free transportation on the island as well (golf cart shuttles). The house had very spacious bedrooms and master bath. Loved sitting out on the decks with coffee in the morning. Pool area was amazing- just wish we would have had a little warmer weather! Restaurants we went to (that were all amazing) Waterfront (favorite), Sandbar, Ugly Grouper, Rod and Reel, Poppos, North Shore. Would definitely rent again!

Great Location and Outdoor Space

We are AMI frequent flyers but this was our first time staying at this rental. The positive aspects were that it was the perfect size for our family of four and the guest bedroom had plenty of room for two pack n plays. The master bedroom king bed was very comfortable. We loved the pool and patio area in the back yard and the proximity to the beach was really nice. The rental also comes with beach chairs and a wagon which was super convenient. Now, I’d like to preface the rest of the review by saying that I have high expectations for cleanliness within reason for a beach rental. As soon as we arrived I found that there was a lot of lint/dust/other particles throughout the unit on the floor. Similar to what you get with frequent foot traffic in and out (this house is for sale, so unsure if it was from showings?) but it bothered me enough that I immediately had to vacuum. There was also a dead cockroach in the guest bedroom that appeared to have been there a while. I am a Floridian so I understand bugs, but this just doesn’t seem like something a cleaner would leave behind.Those two things combined were unfortunately my first impression of the house. Management did offer to send out cleaners, but at that point I had taken care of what I needed and would have much rather the house just been properly clean on arrival. I think a deep clean of this property is needed especially the kitchen, floors and master bathroom shower. The rest of the house was clean enough.

Overall, we were comfortable and we enjoyed our stay however, anyone at this house should know a few things. First, if there is excessive rain, the entire street in front of the house will flood and possibly flood the garage where your belongings are so don’t put anything on the ground if you are experiencing rain. The pros are: comfortable bed, the AC works great, the water pressure is great, the pool is good however, bring your own pool toys, and most importantly the access to the beach is the star of the show here. You’re only two houses away from the beach walk.The cons are that house is not as well equipped as what you may be used to especially for the price. There is nothing in the kitchen outside of salt and pepper in terms of amenities. All the basic cookware is there and is passable. However, there were a few things that because of the wear and tear or the age on the house were not working and were a minor inconvenient such as the light underneath the microwave does not work and the kitchen lighting is not great so if you are cooking, you will not be able to see the food on the stove that you’re making. Secondly, the garage door opener does not work. You have to operate it manually. Also the pool TV did not work and we were counting on that for music so we had to go purchase a speaker for the pool. So bring your own. The management company is responsive and sent out a maintenance person, but this person did not fix anything. Don’t see the value for the price.
The flooding in front of the house was pretty much focused on one or two houses on the street and this one is one of them. It took about three days for it to drain off and we had to wade through the ankle deep water to leave. Came into garage

Perfect rental for 2 couples

First time visiting the island for my sister and I, and our husbands, and we are very pleased with our location. The house is exactly as in the pictures show. It is a proper home away from home. The owner has provided more than enough kitchen ware, towels ( bath and beach), outdoor seating and beach chairs / umbrellas/ trolleys etc. The pool was a perfect temperature and the outdoor cabana area was ideal and used everyday for relaxing outside. The house is just minutes walk from bean point and also from the rod and reel. Both ideal locations on lazy sunny days. Also walking distance to Pine street. I would not hesitate to book this house again for the 4 of us. Although it looks like our next trip will be for 8, so we will need more bedrooms. The only slight negative is the lack of household cleaning equipment/ products . We have rented many many houses across America and have never before had such a situation where there are no basics ie trash bags , dish soap, cleaning cloths / sprays. I believe this is due to the rental management company. We did visit the island dollar store to stock up on necessities, so it’s not the end of the world and did not detract from a wonderful stay.

Absolutely Loved It

Our family absolutely loved staying here. The house was exactly what we were looking for and the owners made sure we had everything that we needed. There were plenty of towels and beach towels to last everyone all week, any cooking utensil you may need, beach toys, beach chairs, body boards, beach umbrellas, and a beach wagon to carry everything down to the beach in. They owners really went out of their way to make sure you have everything you might possible need. The house was beautifully decorated in a perfect location, just a very short walk to the beach. We used two different beach access to get to the beach, one just a few steps away to get to Bean's Point, literally just a few steps away and you are there, the other was right around the corner on Jacaranda Rd which took us to the Bay side just a few steps away. The water on both sides was beautiful and clear, we snorkeled and kayaked in both the gulf side and the bay side and it was wonderful. After a day of the beach it was great to relax in our very own pool. The kids loved watching movies by the pool in the entertainment area outback. The only thing I would say to watch out for is the floor downstairs in the entertainment area outback, it gets really slipper when wet. We set up the fans that the owner provided and laid a few towels down which helped keep anyone from slipping and falling. This was our first trip to Anna Maria Island and it was perfect. The kids loved exploring the island on their bikes, they rode down to Two Scoops every night for some ice cream after dinner. We absolutely loved it here and can't wait to visit again.

Great property, but reeks of cigarette smoke

Everything about this property is great-location and proximity to the beach cannot be beat, it is well provisioned with beach accoutrements, kitchen supplies and towels, the beds are comfortable, and the pool is fantastic... EXCEPT IT SMELLS STRONGLY OF CIGARETTES. It is not a faint smell. We smelled it immediately upon entering the property (it is heaviest in the areas with access to the outside— front door area by kitchen and the two patios). And it the yep of permeating smell that had been there a long time (as opposed to the renters just before us breaking the no smoking policy (although that is possible too). Being 8 months pregnant and traveling with a toddler, the smell was particularly troublesome and concerning. We immediately called the management company to report it and they sent someone over to check it out. All they did was spray it with Ozium (an air sanitizer) which did little, if anything, to mitigate the smell. We had to learn to live with it because we felt we had no other choice and we did not want to let it ruin our vacation. On our last day there washed all of our clothes at the property and packed them clean before leaving. When we got home we realized just how bad the smell was: we had to wash our clothes twice at home to fully extract smell of cigarettes out of our stuff and we had to air out our suitcases outside.. If not for the smell, we would return to this listing for our next visit to AMI, but it was just too much of an issue not to warn others. We would have never rented this place had we known.

Great Stay

We love the covered area by the pool with the TV and outdoor furniture. The heated pool was great since it was early November. The only thing that would have been better would be a easy stairway out back going to the pool. Thank you for keeping a great property.

Close to the beach

The house was clean and comfortable however it is situated directly across from a motel, not hotel. On our stay we had a significant amount of construction in the back yard, rendering our pool and patio almost useless for two or three days. Unfortunately when this was brought to the attention of the agent they couldn’t do anything to help us.

Family Time

Thank you so much for letting me and my family ‘borrow’ your home away from home! It was truly that to us! From the moment we arrived, I knew it was going to be a fantastic vacation for us! The home smelled amazingly clean! Everything is just as pictured on the website. We had ample space for my family of four. Outstanding!

My husband and I stayed at Absolutely Anna for a delightful week in February. The property manager made the check-in/check-out process extremely easy. The house, pool, garage and yard were all so neat and clean. It was amazing to be staying at beach house and not find one speck of sand in the house, or even in the garage! Kudos to the cleaning team! Cooking at Absolutely Anna was easy because there was not one single item that we thought...."oh, it would be nice if they had a..."; because every item we needed was there! The neighborhood is so quiet and relaxing...which made afternoon lunches and naps by the pool, quite pleasant. Laundry facilities were great! The house is located perfectly for biking to local restaurants; and walking to Bean Point. The beach supplies were very well stocked...comfy beach chairs, lots of beach toys, wagons and carts for bringing supplies to/from the beach, shelling rakes, great beach towels, good-sized umbrellas for shade. We found live starfish and live horse conchs right off shore, with our masks/snorkels. The outside shower upon returning from the beach was so convenient. We rented bikes and kayaks for the week at Beach Bums, and had a blast with those. We spent many hours paddling and biking in Perico Bay, and Robinson Preserve. The fishing was amazing...snook, barracuda, ladyfish. Wonderful restaurants within walking and biking distance: Rod N Reel Pier; The Sandbar; Popo's. Two Scoops for ice cream is a must. The front porch at Absolutely Anna was a terrific way to start and end each day. Anna Maria Island never disappoints...and staying at Absolutely Anna was just icing on cake!
