Cute spot!

This place was perfect for our stay. It’s an old house, but in good shape, and had everything we needed. Loved that there was a dining table with six chairs, a well stocked kitchen with nice pots and pans, and that it was within a five minute walk of the light rail. Would definitely come stay here again!

Great place!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Location was excellent for transportation by light rail. 4 stops to the Stadium and 4 stops to the airport. Very handy. Lack of restaurants around. Just one coffee shop around the corner. But very happy with our choice.

Amazing Location!

This two-bedroom, two full bath home was less than 5 minutes to the light rail which made it super convenient to get to the airport, the baseball stadium, the ferry and downtown attractions. The owner was very responsive and allowed us to store our luggage in the house before check-in while the cleaners finished up. The home was very comfortable for my husband and me and our son and daughter-in-law.

Clean and Tidy Stay

This property is in a quaint neighborhood and yet very convenient to the train, just a short walk. The short walk to my daughters house just a block away was pleasant. We admired the spring flowers and flowering trees along the way. The host greeting book was very welcoming and the many travel books were very helpful. So happy to have found this place to stay so close to ,my daughter and eateries.

Close to everything

Easy to find, simple to check-in, and fast communication from the host. Charming old house. Our bunch starting referring to it as “home” when we’d head back from our daily ventures. Great access point to the Light Rail! We were able to check out a Saturday evening farmer’s market in the neighborhood, complete with a band and dancing, and found Columbia City to be a perfect choice for our stay.

Great location, good price

Clean. Nothing fancy, but met our needs really well for a work training. Walkable to 2 full service groceries, a handful of bars, probably 10 restaurants, 1-2 music venues and 2 movie theaters. Coworker raved about the Vietnamese food and I saw 3 Ethiopian restaurants. Soul food and Geraldines are great. The upstairs shower & bathroom is small but the first floor bathroom is roomy.

The overall cleanliness of the place was not great. We especially did not enjoy the neighborhood, while it was close to transportation, the area was not great. We were woken up every night with people yelling on the streets or loud noises. Overall I do not believe the description of the unit met the expectation.

Hi Rosalva, Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’m truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We do our best to maintain a clean and comfortable space, and I’ll review this with our cleaning team to make sure improvements are made. Regarding the neighborhood, while it is close to public transportation and city amenities, I understand that the street noise can be disruptive at times. I’m sorry this affected your stay. I appreciate your comments as they help us improve for future guests, and I wish you safe and pleasant travels ahead.

Ease of location is great

Although it turned out to be fine, we had a bit of a rocky start as the property was not guest ready. To his credit, the owner immediately reacted and provided us with clean linens for us to use the first night (we arrived in the evening). The best part about this unit is the proximity to the light rail; it was perfect for airport and sightseeing! Probably the most negative point is that the unit sits between two abandoned/condemned houses. It’s not a very reassuring and welcoming sight.

The lower tenants woke us up fighting and screaming every night we were there. So much so we had to call the police because there was clear physical abuse happening. The fighting went from 12:00 am-3:00 both nights. I recorded the audio. Contacts the police and contacted the property owner. The property owner told me it would be taken care of and promised he would call to discuss the situation. I sent the audio to the owner. Never heard from the owner or the police. Not a safe place to rent.

Hi Stacy, I’m very sorry to hear about the disturbance you experienced during your stay. Safety and comfort are extremely important to us, and I regret that this situation disrupted your visit. While the issue stemmed from other tenants in the building and was outside of our direct control, I completely understand how upsetting and unacceptable that must have been. We did reach out to the property owner regarding your report and provided the details you shared. I apologize if there was any breakdown in communication afterward. Your feedback will be used to continue pressing for stronger action so this does not happen again. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and again, I’m truly sorry your stay was impacted in this way.
