A landscape of mature green and white trees and a beautiful pond is what you'll see when you arrive at this cozy, secluded, full log cabin.
Lounging on the deck or in the screened porch, or relaxing next to a roaring fire in the outdoor firepit has been a favorite pastime for many guests.
This beautiful, fully stocked cabin is the perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking Houghton Falls, Lost Creek Falls, Meyers Beach, or shopping in nearby Bayfield or Cornucopia.

Super cute and cozy cabin. Great base camp for waterfall explorations. Kristin was great to work with and even made sure the woodstove was blazing for our arrival. I also loved all the handmade pottery decorating the space. It was too chilly to be outside much but we did see the turtles and had a greeting from a barred owl one evening.

This lovely cabin is set in a beautiful yard area with a pond and wildlife. Kitchen is fully equipped with smart appliances. Bed is very comfortable. Bring water shoes for the shower. Wood stove is your heat for this cute getaway. Very quiet neighborhood pretty close to town of Bayfield.
Black bear out our window. Windows do not have curtains, so the beauty of the outdoors is available from all angles.

The cabin was super cozy and perfect for our small family of three plus a pup. It has everything you need stocked and thoughtfully curated for guest comfort. The bed is very comfortable & the appliances, kitchen, and bathroom are modern - but the cabin itself still feels rustic and cute. The pond and onsite private trails were great for exploring and watching nature. We saw lots of turtles, an owl, and little woodland creatures. Bayfield is super easy and quick to get to. Kristin is very responsive and helpful for check in and anything needed. We plan to return!

Kristin is an amazing host! We are returning guests and loved our stay this time as much as our last time! It’s a cozy cabin with every amenity you could need. We love the location and it’s close to the shops and restaurants we like to visit. We will definitely be returning to this lovely home!

We had the BEST time at The Copper Squirrel. The property is so much more beautiful and peaceful than the photos can even capture. Host was helpful and responsive. Our stay felt like a true retreat. We will definitely come back.

Our standard poodle, Lucy, absolutely loved the property, the pond, the woods, the bed! Everything was immaculate, and all the little things we didn't think of as first time renters, Kristin did! She was awesome! From detailed directions for the wood furnace to the little book light on the side table, to the pile of books. It was all there to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. We hope to be back!

Everything was amazing. The host gave us great travel and food references. The cabin is only a short drive to Bayfield and the ferry to Madeline Island. The cabin was a perfect central location for us to drive to our different hikes in the area we had picked out prematurely. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Cozy and amazing cabin!We absolutely loved staying at this wonderful cabin in the woods! It was very relaxing and exactly where we needed to be. Kristin does a beautiful job decorating and is in tune with having everything that was needed for our stay. She went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our visit! I highly recommend staying here and the location is close to all the areas we like to visit!

Perfect little cabin. So easy to kick back and relax and with local attractions being just 15-20 min away the location was perfect. Clean cabin, very responsive and kind host. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking to explore the beautiful Bayfield area.

Peaceful stay!

This sweet cabin was exceptional in terms of amenities, quiet, dog friendly, and cleanliness. We did a lot of hiking, returning "home" to a peaceful place. I was sad to leave!

Beautify restored cabin with modern updates and fully stocked kitchen for dining and cooking. Comfortable bed with great linens and high quality towels. Screened porch is great as you are sharing the summer with the mosquitos and black flies. It is the WI north woods.

I can't wait to go back!

This cabin was absolutely perfect! It is so well stocked, beautifully decorated, cozy, comfortable, everything we look for in a get away. We had a perfect long weekend, and are already looking to book it again.

Relaxing Stay

The cabin was perfect for us, the pond is charming and the screened in porch was perfect for enjoying it. The cabin is a good blend of feeling like you are in the woods but also close enough to Bayfield and the Apostle Islands to have some fun day trips!

Bird hunting and trout fishing couple

Wow..was the first word that came to mind when we walked into this cabin..Rustic with modern updates made it cozy and comfortable..Cleanliness was top notch.A screened back porch looking over a serene back yard with a private pond was amazing and so well thought out..Our host Kristin kept in touch..If I could rate this a 10,I would..Everything was Perfect!! And our dogs agreed.

Cozy cabin

We loved this cabin! The cabin was cute and tidy. It was secluded and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the screened in porch and wood burning stove. It was wonderful to see and hear the wildlife. Would definitely want to stay here again!

We had a great stay with our dog! It was so nice to be secluded in the woods but yet close to Bayfield. The cabin itself was exactly as described and in the pictures. It has everything you need to be comfortable and we were happily surprised to find little thoughtful things like small lights by the bed if you needed to get up during the night, and a lot of outdoor options to relax and play at the cabin. We loved hearing the bull frogs in the pond and spent a lot of time in the screened in porch. We will definitely try to book this again when we are next in the Bayfield area.

Stay at the squirrel

Very cozy cabin. Secluded and quiet. Nice screened in porch to relax in and unwind after a day of site seeing. Only a short drive to the beach. Property owner was very helpful with information about the area.
