Stay in the Taghkanic House, an architectural masterpiece designed by renowned architect Thomas Phifer. This unique modern home sits perfectly atop a hill exposing views of the Catskills over the Hudson Valley.

The home sits on 400 acres of manicured lawn, wooded forest and farmland and is just a 15 minute drive to the thriving artistic town of Hudson where one can enjoy fine shopping, art and dining experiences.

Excellent property

Everything worked out perfectly for a birthday weekend getaway. The property manager was very communicative and helpful, and the house was great. Highly recommend this property.

After a last-minute cancellation with another property, True was incredible in accepting my last minute booking (in a day’s notice). The property was one of dreams, flawless in unique design and decor, and perfect for a girls weekend getaway. Highlights include the indoor salt water pool, the chef’s kitchen, and the movie room. During the stay, True’s communication was sound, with timely responses once questions arose. This is a house one brags about, and I will absolutely stay again!

Exquisite! An absolute dream

I cannot recommend this property enough! It’s such a unique, luxurious home on the most beautiful natural setting. And the property manager is so kind and accommodating, they were lovely to work with and went above and beyond to make sure our group was well taken care of. They were just wonderful! Our group was two sides of our family and included three generations and every single person from the grandparents to the toddlers had an incredible stay, and we never left the property! It’s so peaceful, so beautiful, so convenient with the pools, the screening room, the yoga room, the unbelievable kitchen, the remarkable outdoor spaces, the dreamy bedrooms, the most comfortable space as a whole! So great for groups, I just can’t say enough about it. You will not regret booking this place. It was truly one of the most wonderful getaways we’ve ever had!

So worth it!

The pictures don’t even do this house justice. Walking in, you need to acquaint yourself with the house by opening every hidden door to find the next surprise. The outdoor AND indoor pools are both beautiful the house is decorated beautifully as well. We had dinner upstairs outside on the lawn one night and it was incredible. Definitely book more days than you plan to because we definitely could’ve used an extra day or two to enjoy this beautiful house. The property manager was very responsive which was super helpful. I’m always skeptical about beds that aren’t my own but it was like staying at a hotel all the linens were clean and crisp and we slept amazing! Worth the splurge!!!!

our post-thanksgiving family gathering was wonderful. while the space had a few minor flaws, overall it was a terrific experience and amazing space. more like a yoga retreat, than a cozy home - but amazing layout, chef's kitchen, inspiring grounds, super COMFORTABLE beds and linens and sun-filled. GREAT for a large family gathering or workplace retreat.

An Unforgettable Weekend

I rented this property for myself, friends, and family to celebrate my birthday. It was the perfect place to make our celebrations feel special, inspiring, and unforgettable. The Taghkanic Glass House is even grander than the pictures portray. The first hour of our arrival was spent opening doors and investigating the architecture of the house. By the end of our weekend, we were still discovering new features of the house. My entire group reported sleeping well as the beds and linens are very comfortable. The house was well-stocked with kitchenware, speakers, extra towels, extra linens, yoga mats in the movement room, etc. We enjoyed dinners in the kitchen, exploring the landscape, watching a movie in the screening room, a hot sauna followed by a jump in the pool, and just enjoying each other's company and music on the floor of the great room. We all left the weekend satisfied after gaining a fun, new, remarkable experience. I had a great experience working with True North and my contact, Shiho. True North was extremely accommodating and provided lots of valuable information and resources prior to our stay. They offered assistance to book a chef, yoga instructor, sound bath meditation leader, and more. We also received helpful information about restaurants, cafes, and bars located in the town of Hudson. My group loved spending time exploring Hudson as well. I highly recommend this property if you are looking to book!
