This house sits up on a hill and has terrific views! It had plenty of space for our party to spread out, and the drive to ski took only two minutes.

Wonderful Stay

Family Vacation

The absolute best VRBO we have EVER RENTED! The property manager Shay and Alpine were beyond responsive. We have used VRBO for years and have had some great experiences and properties but this was the best.

Amazing!

The property was perfect for our group. The firepit and hot tub were a big hit. The kitchen was well stocked for our meals. This is our second time renting this house and I am sure it won't be the last.

My family and I have stayed in more than ten luxury mountain homes in Mt. Crested Butte during the summer over the last 25 years. Although many of those were very nice, this home is by far the best. The 360 degree unobstructed views of Mt. Crested Butte itself, down into the town of Crested Butte, and out to the mountains to the north and west are utterly spectacular. Great in the morning and evening. The extremely large outdoor decks (two on the main floor and one off the master bedroom and office on the second floor) and the separate screened in porch are tremendous for comfortably hanging out. And the open floor plan of the entire main floor is perfect for a large group, including great for young kids. The large grass areas that surround the house and beautifully maintained flowers all over the property also are gorgeous and provide great space for small children to play. The house was also extremely well-stocked in everything from cooking pans and utensils to paper goods to outdoor gear, coolers and even toiletries. And the host was immediately responsive to any questions or requests. This is a clear 10 out of 10.

Always uncertain but this property was the family favorite in the last 10 years. Very well equipped, clean, everything worked and Property Management responded immediately to questions. Will stay here again.

Perfect Mountain Home

This was a perfect spot for my family and friends to have a nice, long ski weekend. A little bit of a walk to the bus to the resort but great location otherwise. Views from the house were spectacular. Check in process was a little confusing with the multiple emails I got stating different instructions but I would book this house again!

Family Ski Vacation

We really enjoyed the house; it was spacious with fabulous views in all directions. The master suite is fantastic and a nice refuge from the grandkids. I loved soaking in the master bathroom tub while looking at the gorgeous view of the snow-covered mountains and valley below. There are 2 refrigerators and 2 dishwashers which came in handy for our large group. I would love to stay there again!

Amazing views

5 bedrooms were perfect for our family. Everyone had their own comfortable space with plenty of additional rooms to spread out in. The house is very private and has incredible views from inside the home as well as from decks and the outdoor patio. The gardens loaded with perennials are beautiful. We loved being there and rebooked for next summer!

Amazing views

We had an incredible time at Sunlight Ridge Retreat. The office off the master bedroom has breathtaking views, but so does every other part of this house. Plenty of room for our family. Well appointed kitchen, plenty of space to cook and clean. Shay was prompt with communication We really enjoyed and highly recommend this location.

Amazing home for our family trip!

Sunlight ridge was perfect for our family vacation. We had 6 adults and 3 little children and it had all we needed and more! Kitchen and pantry were stocked with any appliances or cooking utensils you could possibly want or need. Lots of rooms to have space for each individual family. The bunk room was great for the kids too. Alpine management was there for any questions we had and were so kind and considerate. We would most definitely return! Highly recommend! Thank you for a wonderful week!!

Fun Family Weekend

Overall, our experience was great. The house was clean, big, had everything needed in the kitchen, super mud room, and was in a great location. We had an issue of being locked out and it was resolved right away. The only downsides were that the master bed was extremely uncomfortable and lumpy, and that the furniture/couches were old and uncomfortable too. When the six of us wanted to watch a movie together (despite having 3 different rooms to do this) there wasn't one big enough for all 6 of us to be comfy. But overall, everything else was great!

Thanks for taking time to leave the review Elizabeth, we do appreciate it and were happy to hear you enjoyed the house. The owners recently purchased the house in Sept and have made it into a little slice of paradise. In regard to a few things that you mentioned, they replaced all the mattresses upon purchase of the house except for the master bed as they found it really comfortable and now the master mattress has been replaced as of March 2022. We appreciate you mentioning it. As far as comfortable seating for guests, there is quite a bit and I am a bit surprised you didn't find what you thought was comfortable for 6. The photos are accurate as to what is in the house and there are 2 areas that would easily sit 6-8. If everyone wants to lie down, than that wouldn't be an option. I think any future guests may want to look at the pictures of those 3 spaces and come up with their own assessment. The owners did an amazing job of creating comfort and great spaces to hang out in they replace anything that was worn or awkward as far as furnishings. If anyone has questions please don't hesitate to reach out and ask them. We are happy to help.
