Christmas getaway

We had a great time!! The house was spotless, hot tub was great, and the fire pit was perfect! We had fun playing pool every night and seeing the animals next door during the day. Master bedroom and bathroom are amazing!!!

Wine tasting adventure!

Three couples enjoyed this well appointed home….plenty of room and beautiful views. It was convenient to some great restaurants and wineries. We definitely will visit this area again!

Nice home with cool arcade game for kids

We enjoyed our stay at this house. We were three families with young children and the house had a great game/bunk bed room that the kids enjoyed staying at. We enjoyed walking the trails next to the golf courses right across the house. The IGA is the bigger convenience store in town with produce and it's in the plaza next to Dollar General. However there is no real sign from the road that lets you to know that it's a convenience store. Also for those with young kids. There is a playground and nice coffee shop in the local Community Center which is close by, but it's not easily found on the internet. The local elementary school also has a nice playground, as well as the wooden nature playground in town. If I had to provide feedback on what can be done better for those staying and what we've seen at other rentals is having some type of Welcome Guide that might share stores, bakeries, coffee shops and some favorite locations/breweries around the area especially for those with kids.

Perfect Location

Very clean and roomy home, centrally located near the breweries and wineries. Our family thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it. Lovely living area and beautiful master bedroom. The other bedrooms were very nice as well and all beds were quite comfortable. Nicely stocked kitchen. It was a pleasure to work with the owner.

The perfect spot!

This place was absolutely superb and met every expectation and more. There were two families, for a total of 10 people, and we all were incredibly comfortable in the home. The beds were comfortable and the one level living made it ideal for our two youngest (aged under 3)! The older kids loved the bunk room with Pac-Man and their own tv. They called it their clubhouse and the adults enjoyed the screened porch and fire pit out back. We never once turned on a tv, but rather enjoyed the company while visiting the local sights and family that lives in town. We will definitely be back! Special thanks to Carl for the open and clear communication leading up to the reservation and throughout the stay.

Charlottesville Getaway

We were nearby for our daughter’s graduation from UVA. Headed to the mountains for perfect weather, great golf, and a terrific house for our small group. The place was perfect for us. We visited Devil’s Backbone Base Camp as well (just 5 minutes away). It was nice to get out of Charlottesville and avoid the traffic and crowds. Would definitely stay here again.

Very Nice! Views not from the property, however.

Overall, the place was nice, clean and well-stocked. Could use some maintenance (chairs were breaking and the sound-bar for the living room TV kept overheating and cutting out and deck needs new railings - most were gone ; fireplace very hard to get started). Master bedroom/bath were great! Having the hall bath was nice, but it's small for three more bedrooms to share (one with 2 bunks beds) but having the 1/2 bath at the front helped a lot. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone. The owner was responsive and we would consider this place again for sure.

Great home and great location

This was a great home for 2 families. The online description only lists it as 2 bathrooms but there is a half bath which was nice with a large group. The house was clean, convenient to Wintergreen, Devils Backbone and other breweries. The kitchen was well stocked but could use some more essentials and sharper knives. The owner was easy to work with and responded quickly to all communications.

Comfortable, clean and beautiful location

The house was well appointed including a nice coffee maker and coffee available. The house was very comfortable and clean and the process to check in and out was great. The property manager was very easy to get in touch with and very responsive. We would absolutely stay here again.

We enjoy all the experiences that Virginia Beach has to offer. From the beaches and boardwalk to the restaurants and nightlife of Town Center and everything in between, you are sure to find what you are looking for. We absolutely enjoy this beautiful East Coast resort town.

When we want to get away we head for the Blue Ridge Mountains. We can unwind with hiking, wineries, breweries, snow tubing, skiing and so much more. There's no shortage of things to do or adventures to find for our on-the-go family.
