湖を見下ろす上層のマスターベッドルームでリラックスし、ウォークアウトバルコニーから息をのむような日の出をお楽しみください。マスターは、大聖堂の天井、クイーンパインそりベッド、環境に優しい大豆マットレスを備えています。上の階には2つの寝室があり、どちらも大聖堂の天井があります。1つは2段ベッド、もう1つはシングル/ダブル2段です。

Great place with beautiful sunsets

We had an amazing time during our stay. The cottage was very well equipped with everything we needed. Our host Sue was great and gave us all the information we needed to have a great stay. We will definitely go back again.

Wonderful

Lovely cottage - fully equipped and then some . Excellent for families as kids have their own part of the cottage . Excellent, attentive hosts . Very quiet and private setting, but great access to local attractions . Highly recommended!!

Our Weekend at the Loons

The property was perfect for us! We have two mini bernadoodles who loved exploring the shoreline and hanging out on the back deck outside. There is a beach a ten minute walk away and it is so close to Meaford if you need to run out and grab something. Sue and Richard were great with communication also!

Beautiful property and comfortable accommodations

We stayed at the Loons for a long weekend in May and found the accommodations to be excellent. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean and well stocked with everything you’d need to from housewares to linens. We appreciated the kid-friendly baby gates on the stairs and the step stools as well. The host was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Like a Home away from Home

excellent host ! clean and well stocked kitchen equipment, not lacking anything a Mama Bear needs. Nice being near the water front. Great that this cottage has 2 full bath, and a 2 piece bathroom. Deck is spacious and fit our family unit nicely. Would come back again.

Nice weekend

The loons was just as pictured . It is comfortable and the floating fireplace makes you feel like your having a campfire without being outside.

Relax and Enjoy!!

This is an awesome property, the kitchen is loaded with everything you need to cook your own meals, make your coffee, store your food. The sunrises are amazing, lots of spots to sit outside and inside to relax, nice fireplace for the cool evenings, loads of windows. Spacious comfortable home, a short walk to the beach. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Lovely, peaceful cottage right in Georgian Bay

My family had a wonderful time at the Loons. Everything was clean and comfortable and we loved the spectacular sunsets on the rocky little beach. The kids were amazed to discover many prehistoric trilobite fossils in the shale by the water. Sue’s communication was great; responsive and helpful. All in all, it was a wonderful location for quiet relaxation and we also had a great time paddling down Beaver River, about 15 minutes away - just spray liberally to keep the deer flies at bay. Wonderful Getaway

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at The Loons at Christie Beach. The location was perfect - right on the water, close to shopping, dining and endless outdoor activities. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was spacious and had what we needed (although we didn't really 'cook'), the living space was ample and comfortable. Would definitely go back.

Beautiful Cottage and Waterfront

End of Summer Retreat

Wonderful lakefront property

Absolutely relaxing!

We were here for a weekend with our parents/inlaws and our pets and we all absolutely loved it. The kitchen, the bathrooms, the bedrooms, the basement, the living and dining space and the backyard - all updated and well kept. Great Ambience! And amazing location... just 20 mins away from the Blue mountains village if you want to take a day trip. All in all, you cannot go wrong with this place! Book now!

Beautiful getaway

The Loons is a beautiful home and was a truly lovely place for a weekend escape from the city. We wished we could have stayed longer! Right on the water, so you can fall asleep to the sound of waves. Christie Beach is a short walk away. The owners offered lots of great tips on things to do in the area. We had a fabulous time!

Ladies Getaway

This place is amazing! Very clean, comfortable and convenient. It is just a short drive to restaurants and shops, but secluded enough to enjoy the serenity and beauty of the area.. The sunrises are amazing! Well equipped with all the appliances in the kitchen and comfortable beds. The owner was easy to contact with any questions we had. We enjoyed our time there immensely!

Thankful for thanksgiving at the Loons!

The Loons was a perfect place for our family to spend Thanksgiving. It was so comfortable and I was very pleased with how clean it was. The kitchen was very well equipped; it has everything one could need and more. The location is very good with Thornbury so close. It has a brand new grocery store and LCBO as well as shops and galleries. The Georgian walking trail is within walking distance and was enjoyed by my whole family, including the dog, while taking in the fall colours. The owner Sue was a delight to deal with. She was pleasant and friendly and was very quick with a reply to any of our questions both before and during our stay. We will be visiting the Loons again for sure.

We (Sue and Richard) hail from Southwestern Ontario and Trinidad respectively, and currently make Mono our home (near Orangeville). We are now (after many years) empty nesters, but our family is an eclectic group of skiers, swimmers, hikers, sailors, food and wine lovers!

Sue vacationed in the area during early childhood and loved the majesty of the Bay and the friendly atmosphere of the local villages and towns. There was always so much to do - from skiing to sailing, or visiting the Tom Thompson Gallery in Owen Sound, the Apple Festival in Meaford or the Elvis Festival in Collingwood. Here the children learned to downhill ski and had their first taste of live theatre.

Our favorite outings – to cross-country ski or hike the Bruce Trail/Kolapore Uplands through the towering hardwoods and protective cedars. Then there is the Georgian Bike trail which passes close by the Cottage.

At the Loons you can enjoy a true four season experience – bike through the white apple blossoms of spring along the Georgian Trail, soak up the summer sun on the cottage’s private beach or windsurf at nearby Craigleith, cast your rod for trout and salmon in the nearby Beaver or Big Head Rivers, absorb the colours of autumn while hiking and biking the Kolapore/Bruce Trails, experience the fun of downhill skiing at the nearby resorts and cross country skiing on the numerous trail systems.

The cottage is advantageously situated to enjoy many local ski resorts - Blue Mountain, Georgian Peaks, Alpine, Craigleith, Talisman and Beaver Valley.

Nearby Thornbury, Meaford and Collingwood offer full services and lots of things (and in fact, too many things!!) to do – golfing at several major championship courses (Lora Bay Raven Golf Course, the Georgian Bay Club, and Monterra), antiquing, river and lake fishing, Collingwood’s “Elvis” Festival, Meaford’s Georgian Bay theatre at the historic Opera House, international film festival and Apple Harvest Festival, wine tours at Coffin Ridge Winery, trapeze rides and the Scenic Caves at Blue Mountain, canoeing with Free Spirit Tours on the Beaver River, and the list goes on..... And of course, good dining and shopping.

Georgian Bay is delightful for swimming, with wonderfully clear water. The cottage has a stony beach, great for fossil hunting. What better place to view the brilliant sunrises and sunsets. End the day toasting marshmallows on the beach, while listening for the loons.

Nearby (10 cottages away) is the Christie Beach Conservation Area with a shallow sandy beach and playground, perfect for an afternoon outing with the little ones.

Our location is easily accessible by a major highway (Hwys 400 and 26) or along numerous back road routes (Airport Road, Hwys 10, 27 and 50) if you want to avoid the weekend or holiday traffic.
