Guests will enjoy a unique place in South West Georgia for a peaceful and relaxing getaway, and a trip back in time to the "old southern traditions" of farming, plantations,
food, and small communities.
1) For those who love different types of entertainment: Tallahassee offers, concerts and sporting events, Thomasville "The City of Roses": a Victorian Christmas and rose parade in the spring.

2) Lots of annual festivals in nearby towns such as Peanut Festival (Edison),
Mayhaw Festival (Colquitt), Daylilly Festival (Adel), River Town Days(Bainbridge), Antique Car Rally (Cairo).

3) For the women, you can still find a few treasures in the antique shops & boutiques in Bainbridge, Cairo, and Thomasville.

4) For the guy's weekend, the Flint River boat ramp for fishing is only 5 miles down the road so bring your fishing gear and boat. Bass tournaments are held annually on Lake Seminole in Donaldsonville.

5) For the avid hunter, there is deer, quail, and hog hunting....lots of opportunity for successful hunting trips!

Terrific Stay

This property was exactly as listed. It was just ideal for our needs. The owner was warm and welcoming, and we felt like honored guests upon arrival. She explained everything and showed all of the conveniences and modern upgrades like Star Link internet and streaming TV. The country charm of the cottage was just what we needed after busy days. The rural location was quiet and peaceful. We even got to meet the rooster and watched him crow in the morning (so happy to see him). I have had many experiences all over the world, but this one will live as one of the best experiences I have had. I will definitely be booking this one again for my visits to Tallahassee. Many thanks to the owners!!

Trip to Mom's House

We found this wonderful property to be exactly what we needed. I was traveling from central Florida and it was located very near to my mother's home. It had everything that my family needed and more but I think my son enjoyed the hammock the most. The owners were very helpful and made sure that we felt at home. They assured us that they would take care of any of our needs. I would definitely select this property again.

Whigham get away

We were in town for a funeral Ms. Linda was such a sweetheart. Such a blessing to have a clean safe retreat close to our family!! We would definitely stay again, when next time in town!!

A country stay

The week we stayed was great. We were gone most of the time seeing family. but Linda and her husband were great. The gnats were bad this time of year. So, they brought over a fan to keep the gnats at bay while we were on the porch. There are two things that should be change in the rental description. The main house is extremely close to the rental, and you cannot walk through the pecan orchard. But other than that, we had a great stay, and the owners were awesome. One thing I would suggest adding to the house is tv's in the bedrooms. But I would definitely stay again. The house was lovely, and the yard was beautiful. Thanks Linda for a wonderful stay!!!!!

Everything was excellent, the internet was spotty but the owners are updating equipment and the issues will be taken care of post haste. I would highly recommend this location if your looking for a place with a pleasant atmosphere that is charming and comfortable. I wish I could have stayed longer!

The property owners were very welcoming, friendly and flexible with our schedule. They greeted us the first night we were there and made themselves available. The property was in a great location, close to where we needed to be. We will be staying there again soon. Thank you Linda and Tim! We really appreciate your hospitality.

A little far away from everything but so cute

It’s a bit of a drive to get anywhere but the surrounding areas are very beautiful. There is a dollar general within walking distance that has everything you could possibly need. The house is well stocked and ready to be lived in. The owners are very kind and welcoming. The yard is quiet and calm with a little water feature near a hammock. Thank you for the hospitality!

Hospitality for Father/Son Fishing Trip

We were in town for a Fishing Tournament on Lake Seminole and Linda and Tim were perfect hosts. They made us feel as though we were part of their family. Linda had snacks, candy and fruit for us to take out while we were fishing. Everything about the property was perfect for us to prepare and rest for the tournament. This place will be the first place I look at booking the next time we are in town for a Fishing Trip.

The Leeson's reside on property next door to the Orchard Guest House; thus, serving as a local resource for activities, outings and area shopping and events.

Although career opportunities took the Leeson's around the country and they spent many years in Las Vegas, Florida and the Midwest, they both found their way back home to South Georgia to return to their roots and enjoy nature and the Southern hospitality.
