Unwind at this centrally located, stunning creekside cabin. The historic bungalow was lovingly built with a covered stone patio, local bark siding, oak floors, and a spacious rear deck with rhododendron branch railing overlooking the creek. Breathe in the mountain air while building a fire by the burbling creek. Groceries, restaurants, and a coffee shop are just a stone's throw away. Here you’ll have a local's experience with city-life perks.

This family home is furnished to meet the needs of large groups, but cozy enough to feel like a luxurious getaway for business travelers and couples alike. Gather around in the living room watching the game on a 55" smart TV. There is a fully stocked kitchen, two large bathrooms, two outdoor areas, and a washer/dryer in the home for your use. This is not a remote, secluded cabin, but rather a modern home nestled right in the center of town.

Free parking for up to 4 vehicles in the driveway. You can easily walk to numerous shops and restaurants as well as a major grocery store. Boone's free shuttle service, AppalCart, has a stop only 400 feet from the front door.

You will be booking the entire home. No one else will be on the property. You will have access to all rooms in the home, including the washer/dryer. The basement (unfinished storage space) is locked.

Awesome place

Really loved staying here! It was very comfortable, check out was easy and no passive aggressive behavior from the host. We come to Boone almost every year and I hope we can stay here again!

Comfortable home near downtown

This was a nice, comfortable home near the main street of Boone. Very clean, comfortable beds, easy to communicate with host. It is on a fairly busy street, but it was quiet at night. Plenty of hiking nearby, and easy access to restaurants. We enjoyed our stay

Great House

We stayed here while my oldest had some activities at App State. It is a little bit too far to walk, but so close its very convenient. We were able to walk next door for groceries and several things close to walk to. The house was in great condition, slept great, comfortable beds. Would definitely stay here again.

Short getaway

Everything was great with the stay. It is in town so you have a little more city noise but it is to be expected. Everything was clean and set up nicely. Very happy with our stay.

Mountain Trip

The house is as stated on line. It is extremely close to everything. A little hard to turn around safely in the driveway without getting on the grass. But overall a pretty good little place to stay.

Great place, convenient, clean

We stayed here for two nights while working at App State. 2 guys and it worked out great and was way cheaper than 2 hotel rooms. Place was clean, beds nice, we just used the coffee machine. 2 full baths which is kinda weird for a place this size, but actually really nice that we each had our own bathroom. Location is very convenient for getting into town and close to grocery store. Good parking on site. This is not a picturesque cabin in a sleepy neighborhood, but we weren't looking for a view. It was perfect for what we needed; clean, in town good beds/baths, coffee maker!! I would definitely stay again when coming to work.

Graduation Weekend

We stayed for graduation weekend 2023. While not within walking distance to campus activities, we found the location sufficient and parking near/on campus not too difficult to manage. The two bathrooms were clean and spacious and the kitchen stocked well for making a quick meal between activities. We will stay again when coming to Boone and needing more than a single hotel room. Additionally, the host was responsive to questions and gave clear, accurate answers.

Sisters Weekend

The property is as advertised. Home is beautifully decorated, beds sleep comfortably, and other amenities function as promised. Location is ideally located as far as its proximity to town. Lacks privacy due to closeness of street and apartments behind/beside home, however owner has done their best to improve with privacy fence in front yard. No discernible street noise noticeable from within home. Owner responds very promptly to messages and questions. Overall a superb weekend and a very pleasant stay.

Short Get-Away for Pre-Christmas

It was a cute bungalow, as listed. We requested batteries for the tv remotes from the owner and she never provided them. Also, be sure to change your Netflix/Amazon PW before you leave as I don't believe anyone ever clears the cache on that. Having filtered water in the fridge would have been nice, but no filter was installed. We only stayed 3 nights. It was close to Boone shopping and driving to Blowing Rock.

Not exactly what we expected.

The process of renting and communication was wonderful. The outside of the property did not look like the pictures; the wooden fence, overgrown shrubbery, and the front of the house were not reflected in promotional photos. There was no coffee and no bar soap in one bathroom and we had to buy toilet paper because we ran out. The bedspreads did not smell very fresh, but the sheets and towels were clean. The house itself seemed clean.

App State Open House

This little bungalow was great! Perfect location if you need to be close to App State and restaurants. Traffic noise was only during the day. Clean, nicely renovated, comfortable. I did not like the check in process. I have never had to wait until the "day before nor the day of check-in" to receive the check-in information. That was a little nerve wracking. As a rule, VRBO gives you check in/address locations (maybe not door code) when you sign the contract. This helps with trip planning, especially if you're on the road prior to your check-in date.

Great rental

Property was located close to amenities, super clean and comfortable, extras provided such as a extra blankets and pillows, full kitchen, high chair, and travel crib, and wash/dryer. Close to street and was a little noisy first thing in the morning but did not bother us or take away from appeal of location as we are early risers. Would definitely rent again!

Perfect location for graduation weekend

In Town Getaway

We had a wonderful stay. Home was clean and easily accessible. We were worried about taking a trip to the mountains in the winter, but the surrounding roads were very well kept and the driveway is paved. We loved all of the amenities! It is right in town and within walking distance of a great grocery store and a few restaurants. Host was very accomadating, kind, and quick to respond. Would highly recommend and will be bookmarking for future trips to Boone!

Easy access during winter weather

Great bungalow, small but plenty of room for the 6 adults we had. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds. Best part was we did not have to go up or down a steep hill or mountain to get to the house. Our visit was during a 5-6 inch snowfall! Enjoyed our stay! Highly recommend!
