Welcome to The Rower's Cabin — your perfect lakeside retreat on the pristine shores of Skaneateles Lake. Nestled on a manicured acre just 5 miles from the Village, this charming rustic cottage blends relaxation and recreation for families and friends of all ages.

2025 UPDATE: Brand-new red oak hardwood floors throughout and a beautifully updated kitchen make this cabin better than ever!

THE SPACE

The open floor plan is cozy and inviting, with two bedrooms sleeping up to 8 guests.

•Bedroom 1: Queen bed, 2 twin bunk beds — ideal for families.
•Bedroom 2: Queen bed.
•Living Room: Sofa bed/couch.

Enjoy fast Wi-Fi (489 Mbps), a 50" HDTV with Roku, Netflix & HBO Max, a dedicated workspace, and an in-unit washer/dryer.

OUTDOOR LIVING

The entire cabin and full one-acre property are yours to enjoy! Spend your days on the water with shared beachfront access located just to the northwest of the cabin, complete with a private dock and two complimentary kayaks.

Challenge friends on your very own private Har-Tru tennis court!

(Note: The court is available to guests at all times except when used by my tennis league on Mondays 9:30–11:30 AM, Wednesdays 10:30 AM–12:00 PM & 6:00–8:00 PM, and Fridays 9:00–10:30 AM).

We stayed during Syracuse U graduation. It was a charming cottage and so nice to get away from the crowds in town when not at a ceremony.

Nice Woodsy Cottage

The cottage was clean and located near the lake. However, it lacks air conditioning (important to know especially during a heat wave) and other amenities, such as paper products and only 2 bath towels provided. The lawn and garbage also needed attention (garbage overflowing outside bins).

The trash gets picked up on Saturdays and Wednesdays. It would have been helpful to mention that it was not picked up. My cleaning lady sets out towels and ample paper goods for a weekend stay.

no air conditioning a hole in the floor and not up to standards; the door did not lock too small for three adults; no bedroom dresser or mirror the tennis court was booked by the community and not for private use as expected

Melissa stayed in my cottage for a week in June for a family wedding. He sister-in-law did the research, found my home and referred her. It is a lakeside cedar cabin that clearly states no air conditioning. The door lock and floor have been fixed as of July 2nd 2022- I was unaware of the damage before Melissa's check-in and she was given a partial refund for the inconvenience. I allow my tennis league to continue play while I am not there and that too is stated on VRBO.

Excellent property and very responsive host

We rented the property for a family wedding weekend in Skaneateles and it was great for my wife, her sister and our twin 8 year olds. The kids loved the water and all the space to run in the yard and the adults enjoyed the fire pit, tennis courts and cozy living area/kitchen. Excellent property and will definitely be back for more stays. Had a few questions for the host during the stay and he was able to respond within minutes. Great experience overall!

Upscale Cabin in the Woods

We loved our stay! The cabin has been fully renovated with new appliances, a smart TV, upscale furnishings, and comfortable beds with high quality linens. We enjoyed the beach/dock on a daily basis. The cabin is within 20 steps from well-maintained clay tennis courts. We highly recommended this home. We'll be back for another visit next summer!
