This Sugar Mountain home is 2 minutes from the slopes and a quick drive to Banner Elk, Beech Mountain, Hawksnest, Boone, close to Grandfather Mountain and Linville Falls. Views and room for your family and friends. 2 bedrooms with 2 full baths and full kitchen. Living room has wet bar and pullout couch. 2 porches, and spiral staircase to 3rd bedroom loft that sleeps 4. Kid friendly with provided pack n’ play and kids' essentials. Recent updates to countertops, fixtures and flooring.
4WD is required in the winter time. Roads are well maintained, but snow can come unexpectedly at this elevation!

Great place to stay for groups wanting to ski and/or snowboard at the local mountains.

This was a very nice chalet. It offered tons of space, was in a great location, and was very clean and well kept up.

Great location

Excellent property. We visited with kids and they loved the loft with spiral staircase. Within walking distance to Sugar Mountain, but down a big hill. So much fun!

Great ski get away

We had a nice stay, but some things to be aware of: the fusbal table was broken when we were there so the kids were disappointed and there is no railing on the top bunk so be careful with small kids. Otherwise everything was great. The location was perfect. Nice views. Very close to ski slopes and several good restaurants.

We were super close to the ski resort. You definitely could walk there. We had plenty of room in the house and bed sleep good. The only thing is a lot of furniture was in bad shape and need to be replaced. We were disappointed in not be able to us the fire place but they have a electric heater installed so you still get the warmth of a fire. We would definitely like to stay here again. They were quick to respond to any questions we had.

Nice Mountain Get Away

The property was nice. It was clean but could have been a little more kept up. Our first day there, one of the toilets got clogged and the bathroom sink leaked on the floor every time it was turned on. There wasn't a plunger any where in the house and when we called the property manager, he told us that there should have been a plunger in the house. We ended up spending a huge part of our first evening trying to fix the toilet but was unsuccessful and thus had only one bathroom to use for 4 adults and 4 children on our first day. The property manager did come to the property the next morning to fix the leaky sink and the clogged toilet. We were offered a partial discount on our first night for our inconvenience. The property manager was very accessible to us from the time we booked our stay until the time we left and we greatly appreciated his service and professionalism. The property was an excellent set-up for family traveling with young children!!

Again, thank you for staying with us! And thank you for your kind words about being "Accessible" & "Professional" ~ We strive to be that for all our guests. For clarity and for future guests I did want to make a note here about the situation. We were informed around 10pm when we were informed a toilet had been clogged and a plunger was needed. We offered to arrive first thing the next morning to remedy the situation, which was done. We were also informed about a drain pipe under the sink that had a leak. During the morning visit we fixed this. Due to the expressed concern we offered a 50% refund on a full day's rental rate for the booking. Upon our team arriving for cleaning we found a few items in odd places and a flat screen tv totally unmounted from the wall in the loft. Regardless, we're sorry to hear that the stay did not meet Kenya's expectations.

Nice place

It was clean and several nice amenities were provided that were very thoughtful. The small shower was difficult to use and my husband did not sleep at all due to bed in master being uncomfortable for him. Was not prepare for no air conditioning. I understand it is the mountains but I am hot natured and even with windows open and fans on high it as uncomfortable and did not sleep well because of that. May be nicer when it is much colder outside since it does have heat but not a place I would stay in warmer weather.

Ski weekend

dispite the non workingdish washe and the heat system running out of gas we had a blast . host forewarned us on the dishwaser and the heat was rectified in a timely manner .
