Welcome to McFarlan View, our brand new ~2000 sq. ft. home that sits on 3.5 acres, is completely private and has gorgeous views with 3 BEDROOMS and 2 BATHROOMS.

This is a great place for a autumn getaway. The Woolly Worm Festival in downtown Banner Elk in mid-October is "Don't-want-to-miss" event.

McFarlan View is a 10 MINUTE DRIVE TO BOTH SUGAR MOUNTAIN AND BEECH MOUNTAIN SKI RESORTS and a 3 MINUTE WALK to BANNER ELK WINERY; a great place to have a glass of wine and listen to live music.

Additionally:
- There are 2 wedding venues across the street - Banner Elk Vineyard and Cornerstone Cabins of Banner Elk
- It's a 5 minute drive to downtown Banner Elk with its shops and restaurants.
- Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain also have great mountain biking in the warmer months.
- It's a 20 minute drive to Grandfather Mountain for amazing hiking.
- Trout fishing is available nearby.

No outdoor noise between 11 pm – 6 am. Noise travels in the hills. You may keep the entire area awake.
There are two locked closets with owners’ property, one upstairs, one downstairs. Tampering with the locks is breaking and entering.
At the top of the hill, is an angus cattle ranch. Do not feed or try to pet the cattle. Do not trespass onto this property

Our family of 5 stayed here for New Years and loved it! Home is beautiful and has plenty of space. Location was perfect and so close to downtown Banner Elk. There was a tiny hiccuup when we first arrived but the host was on top of it and took care of everything quickly and made sure we were taken care of! We love visiting this area and would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for 2 families with children. The view and location is wonderful however, it was snowing and the driveway was a little steep. Make sure you have a four wheel drive during winter. Overall a great house to spend a weekend trip in the mountains!

The house and location perfectly met our needs for our weekend in the mountains. The house is an easy 5 minutes to Banner Elk and right across the street from the winery. The house itself has a great layout for multiple people/families, plenty of space, everything was in good condition, and the view was lovely. The driveway is very steep so I'm not sure what it's like in the winter if there is snow. My two recommendations are to install blinds in the main living room as the sun can be quite blinding, and to add some more decorations to make it feel homier. We would definitely stay here again!

Had a great stay at this home. Newer construction and nice and clean. Comfortable and nice amenities. Enjoyed the firepit and deck. The beds are comfy and clean. Host was very responsive to messages and helped answer questions during our stay. Thanks so much!

The description of this listing having wonderful views is spot on!!! We had a wonderful weekend learning to ski and touring the area. And we had our clean, beautiful home to come back to each day. The beds were comfy, bathrooms and kitchen well stocked. Our host warned us about the driveway if it had snowed, that we’d need a 4wd by uttu

Comfortable Long Weekend

Great new house. Nice view and deck. Stayed a few days in between Christmas and New Years Eve. Too rainy to ski but we brought the Wii and played games in the downstairs family room. Furniture was comfortable. Definitely recommend due to proximity to winery, Beech, Sugar, Grandfather Mountain, and Mast General Store in Valle Crucis.

Great Location to Banner Elk

The location was perfect! We enjoyed the short 5 minute drive to downtown Banner Elk and 20 minutes to Beech Mountain. Beautiful Views and it snowed! We weren't fond of the main floor layout because it didn't include a designated family room for watching TV and there was a lack of kitchen supplies. However, we were the first renters, and the owner is aware of this and will be making the necessary changes to better accommodate future renters. We would return to rent this home again!

Our family built this lovely house to spend much needed time together in the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains. We have two young children who love to build snowmen and sled down the hill on the porperty. We cozy-up as a family and watch movies (Harry Potter are our current favorites) or read books after spending a full day in the stunning out-doors, all year round. We hope you and your family will love it as much as we do.

It's hard not to love 3.5 acres of wide open views in the mountains. Having breakfast on the deck, overlooking the hills, watching wildlife all around you; it's complete and utter peace. We're minutes from excellent restaurants and great shopping. I really couldn't think of anywhere else I'd rather spend a vacation.

Our house was completed in 2023. It has views from almost every room in the house and the upper and lower walls are almost all glass doors. You will feel as if you're living inside and outside all at the same time.
