You and your family will love staying at this 1893 Victorian home. It still has all the charm of the old Victorian feel with all the current amenities that will make your stay amazing. The home is all about family and pet friendly amenities. With the baby crib, high chair, playpen, baby gates to the safety latches on some cabinets and dressers we did our best to make your stay not only fun but safe. We are pet friendly as well. It’s furnished with everything your furry friend can ask for.

Home away from home.

John and his wife really did think of everything to make the house a home. Decorated beautifully. Even had pet beds and a bbq pit. Nice yard for small dogs. Beautiful garden across the street. Good amount of street parking. I'll be renting again in December from him.

Everything you are looking for in a Beach home!

My family and I absolutely loved this home! It truly felt like home away from home for us! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast every day. The rooms are spacious and very cozy! The place was very clean and tidy and very welcoming. The neighborhood is quiet and traffic is light so it wasn't a concern for us. The location couldn't be more perfect as well. Minutes from the beach, the pier, the Wharf, historic downtown and so much more. Everything you need is only a few minutes away. I highly recommend the house to anyone looking to visit Galveston. We will absolutely be coming back! Thank you for hosting us!

Historic House

Loved the house and its proximity to the seawall. The house was clean and well stocked. We are not accustomed to parking on the street but, all was ok. There is only 1 TV in the home which is not what we are used to but it did bring the entire family together in one room and that was worth the entire trip.

Perfect place!

This house was perfect for our size group (7). Close proximity to everything meant it was cheap uber rides. House is very clean and beautiful! Will definitely rent again!

Gorgeous historic home

We came with grandparents and our kids. The home is beautiful and as we learned local history , it was fun for all of us to come home to a part of that history. The home has everything a family needs. It’s close to the beach and restaurants. Slightly to far for us to walk but it’s definitely walkable for some. It’s a very convenient location. Kid friendly, pet friendly and beautiful!

Very large, comfortable home in convenient location

Our family and another family stayed in John's home over Easter weekend. There were four adults and 4 kids over the age of 14. Even with 8 people the house was more than enough room, both for hanging out and for sleeping. Checking in was easy and every room was well prepared for us with truly nice touches. Each room had a bucket with towels and wash cloths for the people staying in that room. In addition there were other toiletries added in case you forgot something such as your toothbrush or toothpaste. We've stayed in quite a few homes over the years and this touch was the best we've seen. While it's an old home, we were able to adjust the temperature well to our liking. Each of the two downstairs bedrooms has a rollaway bed in them that came in handy as well. And the location was great. We like to walk and a walk to the Strand was less than 30 minutes. Walking to the Galveston Pier was about 20 minutes and it's like a 10-15 minute walk to The Spot and the seawall on that side. The house just felt centrally located. We definitely recommend staying here and we will try to stay again the next time we come to Galveston.

Wonderful option for families

This beautiful house allows you to step into history while having all the modern amenities. You get the charm of the original woodwork, ceiling medallions, doors, etc. with nicely updated (and large) bathrooms and kitchen. The beds were comfortable, the towels thick and fluffy, and the kitchen well stocked with essentials. The owners even left bathroom baskets with toothbrushes and other toiletries in each bedroom along with a snack basket. They thought of everything! We would certainly stay here again!
