Stillwater Cove | Lake View, Fire Pit, Boat Dock!

Welcome to Stillwater Cove, a three-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath private log home overlooking Douglas Lake near Dandridge, Tenn., in the Great Smoky Mountains. This historic location is a short drive to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Knoxville, and the University of Tennessee.

There is an exceptionally large yard to run and play in for all those kids, young and old alike and a private hot tub ready for relaxation. Sit back and take in the magnificent views that the Great Smoky Mountains and Douglas Lake have to offer. Enjoy access to the lake from the property via a scenic lakeside path that winds through the grassy yard and continues along a natural wooded trail to the private dock. The route includes uneven natural terrain and a gradual incline on the return to the home, making it best suited for guests who are comfortable walking on outdoor, uneven surfaces. Once at the dock, enjoy peaceful lake views, fishing, and time on the water. Please note that boats and jet skis cannot be transported directly from the home to the dock. Guests bringing watercraft will need to launch and park at a nearby public dock before accessing the private dock at the home. (The closest public dock is located at 2561 Chestnut Hill Rd, Dandridge, TN.) Additional amenities include air conditioning, ceiling fans, all linens and towels provided, private laundry, and complimentary Wi-Fi.

The home has hardwood floors throughout with tongue-and-groove ceilings. The first level has an open plan kitchen, dining and living areas, as well as a primary bedroom with an ensuite bath. The kitchen has plenty of smooth surface counter space and well-stocked cabinets with newer inventory to make it easier to prepare full-course meals if desired. Just bring the food! Appliances include a refrigerator/freezer, range and oven, countertop microwave oven and dishwasher. There is a peninsula bar with two bar seats on the dining area side, and the adjacent dining area has a table seating six. This flows into the living area, which is very comfortably furnished, complete with a fireplace and wall-mounted large Smart TV.

The primary bedroom with ensuite bath has a queen-size bed, a Smart TV, and sliding glass doors out to the large, covered porch. Open those doors and enjoy the early mornings as soon as you open your eyes! As of 2021, we now have an extended 10-foot-by-28-foot deck beyond the covered porch area for lots of outdoor living space.

The ensuite bath is complete with a jetted tub, separate shower, vanity with dual lavatories, and storage space beneath. On the upper level are two guest bedrooms. The first guest bedroom has a queen-size bed, a day bed with a trundle underneath, and a Smart TV. The second guest bedroom is very spacious and has a queen-size bed. There is a full bath on the second floor as well. The furnished upstairs landing area has a bookcase packed full of wonderful reading material. Grab a book and get lost in a story while overlooking the serene waters of Douglas Lake.
