Charming 1892 Log Cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains foothills

This authentic fully furnished cabin includes a full kitchen, full bath, living area and bedroom with adjoining space that includes a futon. The bedroom features a queen size bed and the futon folds out to a full size bed. All living spaces are on the main level. Linens are provided.

Our focus at The Preserve at Maple Creek is on relaxation and reconnecting with nature. During your stay enjoy private access to multiple trails from mild to moderate difficulty, a working bell tower, walkable labyrinth pathway, creeks, multiple benches, and miles of forest land. We offer wifi access on the property. A Smart TV is provided with limited channels and private satellite internet service. If desired, Dish TV is available at The Farmhouse common area next door for guests to enjoy.

If you choose to bring your pet, please provide this information and understand there is an additional required $50 pet cleaning fee. Failure to pay the fee could result in additional charges.

Within a short drive, you can visit Chimney Rock State Park, Chimney Rock Village, the International Equestrian Center, Lake Lure, South Mountain State Park and multiple vineyards.

Use of event space such as the Glass Chapel and Event Room is not included but is availabe for rental during your stay. Inquire with owner. If you love log cabins, check out the Red Roof Cabin. Visit https://thepreservemaplecreek.com/

In consideration of acceptance of this reservation, you understand NO swimming is allowed and that hiking is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved with hiking. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising from hiking and hold owner harmless. You understand there are potential dangers that hiking may present to children who are not carefully supervised, as well as the danger to any person hiking if a person has health risks, or if a person hikes while intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or while pregnant. You agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents you may incur. You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility for yourself and for the consequences of those in your party. You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against owner for accidents or claims arising from hiking. All Guests in my party acknowledge and agree that they have read and understand this waiver and they acknowledge that acceptance of reservation constitutes a binding and enforceable contract between Guests and Host.

What an idyllic place! It was the perfect location for my husband and me, plus our two dogs. Having trails and a large grassy area right outside our doorstep was perfect. It’s a little oasis.

This was the second time that I stayed at this cabin. Check in is so easy. The grounds are gorgeous and many trails for you to enjoy. They also have a glass church on the property that would be a great place to get married. The landscape of the property is very well manicured and taken care of. If you are looking for a place to sit outside in a rocking chair to relax, this is your place. The space within the cabin is huge (it may not look like it from the outside) and clean. The host send you an email about your check-in. I have not had an issue with the host at all. You are about 2 miles from the little town of Ruth, it has unique shops. Your about 10-15 miles from Lake Lure. I would recommend this place to all my family and friends to vrbo. I will be staying at this cabin again within the next 6 months.

It's always a great stay at the Preserve at Maple Creek. It's so quite and peaceful here which makes it a perfect getaway from the city. The hiking trails are perfect for connecting with nature. This was our third time staying here and we're looking forward to our next visit.

This cabin was everything I expected and more. Beautiful inside and out, the entire space was warm and inviting. The trails led to beautiful destinations. The glass chapel and gazebo were my favorites. I have to say that it had what I wanted most. Quiet. I will definitely return here again.

This property was incredible. Exactly as listed, and even better in person. We took our pups for daily walks on the trails which were conveniently located just yards from the cabin. Just walking the grounds was the highlight of our stay. You get the feel of being in the mountains, away from town, yet everything you need is within minutes and only 15 mins to even more shopping and dining. We truly enjoyed our time at the Barn Cabin and would definitely stay again.

The stay was nice, cabin and rooms were clean, and the surrounding trails are great for walking the dog. It isn't as secluded as many of the pictures make it seem, there is a large adjacent farmhouse with multiple guests. Many windows of the cabin look directly out to this adjacent property and the shared drive.

Great location! Hosts are very nice people! The cabin is epic! We liked The Glass Chapel. And even if you are not planning to hike on the property, make sure you check out the Bell tower! You will not regret, it is so serene... Wonderful place! We will be back!

Great weekend stay

My boyfriend and I had a great time here. The cabin is very cozy and was perfect for our weekend getaway. Not too far to some great mountain hiking spots and the property was fun to explore too.

Great stay!

This is a very relaxing and cozy cabin. The owners are friendly, the cabin is comfortable and had a coffee maker which is very important for us. I would stay here again!
