Very peaceful stay in lovely woods

Extremely secluded and well-designed/curated apartment near Somesville— with easy access to all of Acadia- great swimming options and hikes nearby. We loved everything about this special place.

This place looks like one of Thomas Kinkade paintings, it’s quite so peaceful and very charming I definitely would recommend a stay

Great stay!

This is a very nice, clean and quiet place. There is everything you need to relax at the end of a hike including coffee pods, magazines and more! We had a great time!

The Perfect Maine Stay

This was the perfect place to stay! Great location for everything to see on Mount Desert Island, and close to Acadia National Park! Nestled in the quiet woods, the owner takes great care of the home. It was a very clean and well-kept space, larger than we anticipated! Would absolutely stay here for our next visit to Maine!!

Lovely retreat on the quiet side of Mt Desert Island]

We stayed here for a visit to Mt Desert Island. The apartment is located away from the crowds, but not a long drive to get anywhere. It had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and it was just what we needed after hiking/sightseeing during the day.

Cute cottage and great location

Cozy and beautiful walkout basement apartment with everything we need for the week. Great location to easily get to Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor. Fabulous vacation!

The unit was well equipped, comfortable and peaceful. Laundry was in the unit. We had everything we needed. Brush up on your apple tv skills. It was too complicated for me:)

My 84 year old father and I had a delightful stay in this beautifully modern and extremely clean apartment. Great proximity to other family staying in Somesville, at Mt Desert Campground - and in Manset. The ride into Bar Harbor etc is not far at all. Kira was so accomodating but at the same time respected our privacy. The grounds are gorgeous and the approach to the house is wonderfully 'Maine'.Definitely looking to rebook for next year!

This apartment is located in a quiet setting which was exactly what we needed after a long day of hiking in Acadia. It had everything we needed to orepare our meals. Beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Accommodations

Tranquil setting close to all Acadia and Bar Harbor has to offer. Apartment was spacious and clean and very comfortable. Upon arrival, we found that the owner had left fresh flowers from her garden in the unit… a lovely touch.

Modern renovated quiet getaway!

We were very pleased with the apartment and all amenities! Beds are super comfortable, entire place is very clean and recently renovated! Would definitely stay again if visiting MDI, location is great also! Rental car recommended but we used the Acadia shuttle mainly, note the shuttle stop is about 2 miles away in Somesville.

Quiet Charming Stay for Honeymoon

My wife and I stayed at this location for our honeymoon and we enjoyed it greatly. The property is the downstairs portion of the renters home and they were very helpful throughout the stay. Due to a storm we briefly lost power but the owners were very helpful and considerate during that brief time.

A great retreat in the woods

We loved our stay 15 minutes away from the crowds of Bar Harbor. The Host was responsive and prompt to our questions. We would have loved an outdoor grill to be available to us.

great stay in Mt. Desert

this space was great- bigger than what the two of us needed, but it was nice to have extra space! beds were comfortable, bathroom was very nice, everything was extremely clean. it was about 15 minutes to Bar Harbor and, depending on the entrance, about 15 into Acadia. would definitely stay here again. absolutely beautiful landscape too!

Fantastic stay!

I would recommend this property at anyone! Very quite but very close to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Southwest Harbor, Northwest Harbor and Ellsworth attractions and shopping. Beds were very nice. Had the best sleep in months. The fridge, microwave, sink, bathroom were all top of the line! Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did! Thank you, Kara

Tucked away in quiet woods only 15 min away from Bar Harbor. Large space, beautifully designed and cared for. Everything worked well. Kitchen well equipped with quality stuff. Washer and dryer clean and functioning properly. Surrounded beautiful landscaping and gardens. Would definitely stay here again.
