Relax in our rustic lake-front cottage for your next getaway in the Berkshires!
Your home for the slopes and the season.
Our small lake is perfect for kayaking, fishing, or just enjoying in any season. Come by in the Fall to soak in the stunning color reflecting off the lake. In the Winter, light up the fireplace after skiing nearby at Otis Ridge, just a 10 min drive away. Whether you want cook s'mores by the water, hike the Appalachian Trail, visit Berkshire towns, or just get away, we welcome you.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING
-Please be aware that there are four sets of stairs to access the cottage from the parking area. -Please do not book if you have a difficult time navigating stairs.
-Due to allergies no animals are allowed in our home.
-Please note ESA are not considered service animals by the ADA.
- There are cameras on the outside of this home for the safety of our guests and the property.

We enjoyed this cozy cabin very much, the host was attentive, she checked in with us upon our arrival, and answered our questions immediately. Everything was exactly as described. It was the perfect stay for a weekend getaway!

Great place - I don't want anyone to know how much I like it so it is available when I want to use it. love the location - quiet. Fog in the morning is beautiful on the lake. Highly recommend!

We had the most lovely stay and throughly enjoyed ourselves. The cottage is beautifully decorated in the style of a classic lakeside cottage and like the name suggests - a cozy place to rest. The owners communicated all the necessary details. Highly recommend shopping at the Big Y in Lee. They had everything we needed including MA wood for the fire pit.

You’d be hard pressed to find a better Lake house. The owners must have taken years to find all of the cool furnishings & art throughout the home. Every detail was well taken care of, both inside & out - really a beautiful and cozy.Very comfortable bed, couches & chairs inside, plenty of seating & lake toys outside.For anyone wanting a peaceful awesome place for a lake getaway you can’t go wrong with this property. Otis is not too far away from the larger Berkshire towns for theatre & dining, and the hosts recommended local places were great too.Overall a really nice special place to either hang at the property or explore the area. *****

What a beautiful place! And larger than the square footage implies. Everything about the place was perfect, better than perfect. Very clean and beautifully decorated on the inside. Outside space is gorgeous, such a pretty lake! We went kayaking/canoeing and swimming every day. Had fires in the firepit at night, played croquet, and had writing time in the screened in porch under the house. This was my first vacation with my adult kids in many years and everyone had a wonderful time. Look forward to coming back soon!

House was cute and well-maintained, we loved going out on the pond with the kayaks and enjoyed the fire pit at night. Ann Marie was a great host, very responsive. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a spot in the Berkshires, close to all of the other towns.

Over Due

Our time here was very nice. Morning coffee on the deck, spectacular. Beds were comfortable. The lake was clean and refreshing. I will not be staying again because the stairs down from road to house, then house to lake, proved to be too much. Lovely property.

Cozy cottage

The cottage has wonderful furnishings for gathering together or curl up with a good book. The sunroom has beautiful views of the water for the days the porch can not be used due to weather. The porch has plenty of sitting without being crowed. The living room and kitchen invite you to sit, visit, play games, etc. Lots of games, videos, outdoor activities for family and friends to enjoys during their stay. Whether a family or a couple book here, you will not be disappointed. Our hosts are friendly and always responsive to questions. Choose this cozy cottage if you wish to have a vacation that will meet all yours needs.

Perfect quiet getaway

This little cottage was just right for us.VRBO was way off on the location which was very disappointing, but the place itself made up for that. Owner was very responsive. Would now love to visit and stay in the summer to take advantage of the lake!

Lovely little place, pretty view, quiet

Cozy cottage is charming and restful, with a gorgeous view of the lake from a big room in front. Has everything you could need, and the host is friendly and responsive. My wife and I have stayed there twice, both times in winter, and loved it both times. Completely quiet, peaceful and restful. As with all VRBOs, when booking, keep an eye on the fees — you may find the actual bill far higher than you’d expect based on the “per night” rate. But like I said, that’s an issue with most properties, and despite that, we’ve stayed twice and will likely stay again.

Great cozy cottage with lots of beds and games. The kitchen is comfortable and well equipped. Right on the lake with provided kayaks. Host was very responsive.

I so enjoyed my stay in this lovely cabin. It was nicely decorated and had everything needed for my stay. The owner was also very responsive. I would definitely stay again.

If you like rules, regulations, and a laundry list of crimes, fines and punishments look no further.

This is the place for you if: You like finding out the night before your stay that there will be "security" cameras surveilling you at the fire pit, dock and back yard... then later finding a camera also pointing at the outdoor shower. You like loading up your car with $75 worth of firewood before your journey (because listing says they don't supply wood) and finding out the night before your stay that you may purchase firewood ONLY at their local stores (and no newspaper or kindling will be found at cottage). You like being told that the peace of their neighbors is paramount and then the neighbors' TV blares out their window and their dog barks at you for sitting quietly and reading your book. Then said dog is rewarded with a "squeaky" toy. You like being told that moving around any furnishings or decor is forbidden then upon arrival find enough tchotchkies, curios and awkwardly arranged furnishings to fill 3 homes (including the enormous dresser in your bedroom which prevents you from shutting the door). You like being repeatedly told - after forking over a pile of cash to make it your home for the weekend - that the cottage is THEIR home and their's alone. You like a 10 story electrical tower looming over the lake. To be fair, the cottage itself is reasonably cute, it is indeed on a lake and the wifi is great. Just be sure to mind the many do's and don't signs peppered about and whatever you do, Don't hang your beach towel on the porch railing!!

Stay at Lake cottage in Otis

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming cottage right on the lake. The house is small but very well equipped and it was great having the kayaks right there to use! The host was very helpful with getting to know the cottage and area. Only caution is the stairs coming down to the cottage. there are a lot of stairs and last step can be hard to see.
