After a day of beach walks, stargazing, and sight seeing, enjoy the sunset views and a wood-burning fireplace from the comfort of this cozy beachfront condo. Furnished with a new Tempur-Pedic mattress in the master bedroom, it is great for a relaxing getaway and a restful night's sleep. With a queen bed and a new bunk bed in the guest room, it is also able to accommodate the whole family. Enjoy some complimentary coffee or make breakfast in a fully equipped kitchen. Less than a one-minute walk to the beach, the beach access is literally right outside the condo door and you can have your toes in the sand in less than 30 seconds. The endless miles of private beach coastline await you to explore, with views that extend from Monterey to Santa Cruz. The natural beauty of the Pajaro Dunes that awaits you, will have you wanting to come back year after year. Pajaro Dunes truly is where the pavement meets the sand and where all your worries and cares dissipate away just as the ocean rolls in and out along the coastline.

Location, location, location! The ocean view was amazing and only steps from the beach. The condo was clean, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was in good order.

The condo was clean and well set up for guests. We have stayed on the property before and this unit was also great. We love the walk out to the sand!

Good communication with host... but gatehouse sent us running around a bit to check in. Condo easy to find and well located. The view was amazing! Could sit on the deck for hours! Beach view, protected from cold breeze. Beach access fantastic! Very easy walk to beach. Condo was clean, but dated... king sheet on queen bed, holes in towels, furniture not super comfortable but definitely workable for our group of 4. Overall, would probably stay again just for the location...

The carpet in here is absolutely filthy, I will say the beds are extremely comfortable. Love the view, but it’s a little chilly here in California. The furniture in this unit is ridiculous. The unit is small and the furniture is huge so hardly any place to walk. Very hazardous as to walking around it because the couch and the bed has corners sticking out about 5 inches and then the bed or the couch so very likely someone is going to bump into those they’re about maybe 12 inches off the floor. There are rugs laying on the floor over the carpet which are turned up very hazardous for tripping. All in all, I would be very ashamed to rent this to anyone. There’s all kinds of dishes to eat from, but hardly anything to cook with. One small sauce, pan and one skillet. Very poorly stocked I’ve been in so many of these Vrbo houses and this one is one. No it’s the worst. Do not recommend it to anybody. The only good thing is like I said a beautiful view and comfortable beds.

We provided additional fans for your comfort and have since reviewed the carpet, area rugs, furniture placement, and kitchen inventory with our team. For context, the sofa is a convertible sleeper, so the extended frame provides support when opened as a bed, and the primary bed has a wider platform-style frame. We understand that this furniture style may not be comfortable for everyone. We’re sorry this particular condo was not the right fit for your needs and appreciate your feedback as we continue working with the property owner on improvements.

Fine family time

Enjoyed walking the beach with family members we only see once a year. Always a fine time together listening to the ocean waves come in!

Beautiful Condo on the Bay

What a wonderful condo, a very short walk to the beach. Beautiful view of the bay. The beds were comfy and we slept well with the sounds of the ocean. We do have a couple of suggestions that would enhance your beautiful Condo: For the kitchen, you've got to supply cutting knives. There was one small serated knife (steak knife) I had to cut a cantaloupe, tomatoes, bread. The carpet is dirty in some areas and actually torn up in several places as if a dog or cat was trying to get out. Probably need some new towels. Some were rather worn and one was stained. Thank you for renting to us and please consider those enhancements.

Great location on the ocean / uncomfortable comfortable condo

The Good: the location is wonderful if you want easy access to the ocean. So much wildlife to enjoy. Bring your binoculars. It isn't close to any ammenities so planning to eat in and have what you need is must. We were prepared and looking forward to 5 days unplugged. Nice coffee maker and coffee was provided if you forgot yours. Adequate # of plates, etc. Dishwasher was great. Two beach chairs were in the closet and so appreciated. The Bad: neither bed had a mattress pad protecting the mattress and both had sheets that would not stay on the mattresses. Nights were uncomfortable dealing with migrating sheets and ending up sleeping directly on the mattress (this isn't sanitary). No extra bedding anywhere. Had to take a blanket off a twin bed to use as a bottom sheet. Towels are small and of low quality (seriously, the kind I keep in my car for my dogs). Second bathroom, the shower is plugged. Stood in 3" of water each shower. Kitchen is still very sparsely stocked for cooking. No strainer, had to cook pasta in a pot appropriate for boiling crab. Bare minimum and be prepared to improvise. Furniture in the livingroom is uncomfortable and oversized for the room making it difficult to get out on the deck. Slip covers don't improve quality or comfort. Deck furniture is rusting and paint is chipping. The security chain lock on the inside was installed with short screws and popped off the first day. I don't like to leave negative reviews but I also feel that landlords have a responsibility to provide expected ammenities as the price to rent is high and going higher. It should be a mutually beneficial rental experience. I also want fellow renters to know what to expect and plan for. We will definitely be back to this location - it is lovely, but would not rent this unit again unless reviews indicate the care for renters experience has improved.

Hello Drea, I'm so sorry you had this experience. More so I'm sorry you didn't report your concerns during your stay so we could help. We could have remade those beds with the property mattress protectors and sheets, every bed requires both. We would have realized after night one our error and helped to correct it. We did notice the broken security chain on the door after your departure and it was repaired two days later by maintenance. We also noticed the standing water and had the drains unclogged. These are things we could have done sooner so you could enjoy your stay. Of course compensation would have been offered at that time for the trouble. All we can do now is improve. Thank you for your detailed feedback. We will be purchasing better towels, strainer, colander, and accessing the condition of the deck furniture (the salt air is wicked). I hope you will return again for a better experience and feel more comfortable communicating any issues if they arise. Judy Baker Management

Great staff, super helpful!

The entire team was very accommodating and helpful. We had a hiccup with our dates but they reacted swiftly and found us an alternative unit to cover our stay. Great communication, and excellent service!

Better Deals

We have been coming to Pajaro Dune for over 40 years and have stayed in different Shorebird rentals. We love the location, the beach , and the overall vibe at the Dunes. However, unit 119 was completely unstocked. No cooking utensils, only one pot and one pan, no can opener, no wine opener, no cooking utensils.no matches, no potholders, no soap for the showers, no hair dryers, no extras (books, cards, binoculars, etc) all of which we have had in other units for the same price. It was VERY DISAPPOINTING, especially for the cost.
