Beautiful home near Scituate's historic lighthouse on Cedar Point, across the street from the ocean. We are in the beam of the lighthouse with views of Scituate Harbor and the Atlantic. Water views from every window, with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets from our upper/lower decks. Fall asleep to the crashing surf. Gourmet kitchen, full dining room, living room with wood burning stove, family room with a surround-sound home theatre, spacious backyard, oversized outdoor shower. Back deck off the kitchen and sun room is perfect for entertaining. Upper deck (access through MBR) is great for sunbathing, happy hour sunsets, or stargazing at night. Laundry room with washer/dryer. Walking distance to Sand Hills, Lighthouse, and Museum Beaches. Classic Scituate beaches are a mix of sandy and rocky, depending on the tides. One-mile walk or bike ride to town with restaurants and shopping. Used as an artist studio for many years and the home features many of his works. *Note a dog and cat did live here previously for those with allergies.

Revisiting Rebecca Road

We really enjoyed the living spaces and the location. Multiple dining spaces inside and out. We were able to walk to the beach and were close enough to walk to the cafe and restaurants downtown. Everything necessary to enjoy the summer was available if needed.

Outstanding Time in Scituate, MA

We had a family gathering for our Mom's 90th birthday. She walks with a walker and was able to access her first floor bedroom, bathroom and outdoor deck very easily. We had everything we needed . The home was perfect. Clean, well stocked with all needed necessities. Beautiful views. Shaun responded to my questions within minutes. I look forward to visiting the property again. Best beach rental ever!

I’ve rented houses all over the world, and this was by far my favorite. The house, the location, the light house, the sounds of the ocean, the energy… ALL OF IT. The hosts were excellent and quick to answer all of our questions. They have spared no expense with this home and it’s surroundings. Added bonus, incredible art all throughout the home. Made for a perfect family reunion. 10/10

Awesome Vacation

House was absolutely beautiful! There was plenty of room for our large family. Morning walks along the water and evening strolls to the lighthouse.. Couldn’t have asked for a better family vacation!

Summer fun with family!

Exceptional accommodations for our extended family of three generations. The house was perfect blend of open space and secluded areas for kids and sleeping . Within walking distance of two beaches… lots of tide pooling, sandcastle making, walking and fishing. Caught many stripers off lighthouse jetty! Upstairs deck proved to be popular gathering space for morning coffee to watch sunrise and watch spectacular sunsets in evening. Kitchen was well stocked and a pleasure to use and backyard and oversized deck provided great play area for our young grandchildren and adult relaxing. Three separate showers including an exceptional Outdoor shower! Shaun was available for any questions and we felt welcome right away. Would certainly recommend and rent again!

Great place with great views

It was mom's 90th birthday, so it was special. House was just as described. Very clean with plenty of room to spread out and very comfortable with central a/c. The kitchen has everything you need. The deck off master bedroom has great views and the lower deck is very spacious. Great house would do it again.

Attractive and Comfortable Home Away from Home in Scituate

Mermaid House is a spacious, attractive and very comfortable home with many conveniences. We all loved to gather on the large deck where we enjoyed the breeze and the sun and admired the awesome sunsets. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and dishes. We had many a fun corn hole competition in the good-sized back yard. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this pretty home and attractive community.

360-degree water views, in the beam of Scituate lighthouse. Greatest ever spot for 4th of July fireworks! Hang out on the upper deck for a front row seat to the Labor Day parade.

Great home for family gatherings and making wonderful memories. We are lucky to get both gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, and you can often see the moonrise off the water as the sun is setting, (or vice versa!)
