Enjoy direct access to Lake Wheeler in a 3br/3ba fully furnished lakefront home with day dock. Sleeps 6 adults, all 3 bedrooms have an attached bathroom, and provides a full kitchen, screened back porch, indoor and outdoor dining with a view, outdoor grill, great fishing, swimming. Family friendly (Pack-n-play, high-chair, outlet plugs). Up to 2 dogs (<50 lbs each) allowed for additional pet fee $150/stay. Government issued ID/DL required upon booking. On-site is Lucy's Branch Marina with boat slips, rentals, waterfront barge restaurant with live music Friday-Sundays. High speed internet provided. Joe Wheeler State Park close by. Home was in a great location for our family and pet friendly. Beautiful views of the water. We enjoyed our stay. The only con is that home needs to be supplied with more kitchen towels, bath towels and wash cloths.

Beautiful views of the lake from the huge picture windows and comfy couches for convention or for watching movies. We had a wonderful friend’s reunion here; having a separate bath for each bedroom was a plus.

Amazing visit

We loved this house! Our daughter was at Space Camp and this was the perfect place to stay. And work remotely as well. Highly recommend! Owner was quick to respond to questions.

The place was very nice and beautiful off the lake view. The owners were welcoming and friendly I highly recommend booking their place if you ever need a vacation spot.

Relaxing

Nice quiet get away. Not a lot to do if you I are lookng for excitement. Nice restaurants nearby. Antique stores to shop. Fishing wasn't that great unless you have a boat. Altogether a nice quiet trip.

Amazing Lake House

Beautiful house and we had a wonderful time. Beds were comfy, bathrooms were very nice and clean, and we loved the outdoor areas!!! Overall a great experience and the location was amazing!

Phillip regularly reached out to ensure we did not need anything to help make stay more enjoyable. Property was as advertised with even greater views of lake then pictures showed in my opinion.

Perfect place for family!

This house was perfect for my family. We all have to travel to meet up and this year we chose this place for our small Thanksgiving lunch. It was perfect for our small family and we will be coming here again for Christmas. We are so excited!

Lovely Lake House

This is our second time staying at the lake house while our kids were at Space Camp. We loved the view, the peace and quiet, and being able to swim everyday. We also enjoyed renting a pontoon boat from nearby Lucy's Marina. It was a wonderful place to relax!

Family Getaway

Our family enjoyed our stay. Wheeler Lake is my favorite place in the state. It’s home to us! We had a couple of hiccups, but Mr. Evans was prompt and accommodating for the entirety of our stay.

Space camp stay

Very comfortable home, we enjoyed the view of the lake. The neighborhood was beautiful and everyone was very friendly. The screened porch was great for drinking coffee in the mornings. Would recommend the house and stay here again.

Beautiful lake view

The house was just as pictured. It was very comfortable and the view was amazing! Even though there were houses very close on both sides we never heard or saw anyone. We were able to relax. Drove through beautiful Joe Wheeler Park and saw lots of deer. We also enjoyed visiting Athens and eating there.

Great Place

One full week. All was good. Limited restaurants for a week's stay but the ones we visited were very good - lots of catfish. Best was Sunday at Joe Wheeler State Park Lodge.

Beautiful lakeside vacation!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home on Lake Wheeler. The views of the lake from the house and back porch are gorgeous! We loved swimming off the dock. We had great star viewing from the back porch. The beds are very comfortable and we enjoyed using the electric grill. It was very quiet and peaceful. It was a wonderful place to stay!

Excellent stay, great responsiveness

The stay was as advertised, excellent stay, bad weather created a situation to arrive earlier then expected. Owner was responsive (within 30 minutes), helpful and considerate. Would recommend to any traveling as a family.

We (Phillip and Reiga) have 2 young boys and all enjoy using the lake house ourselves when we have time. We own and manage rental of the house ourselves, and live not too far away from the lake house, in Athens, AL.

One of the great things about the house is the proximity to everything you need to have a good trip to the lake. There is a full service marina and restaurant on-site and Athens is a short drive away for other restaurants, groceries, and stores. The house also has one of the best lake views around and very excellent fishing.
