Nestled in the heart of historic Boomer, WV, this charming riverfront retreat offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cantilever deck provides stunning views of the mountains and river, just 30 steps away. Bring your fishing gear or dock your boat/jet ski at the private dock. Love paddling? Launch your kayaks, canoes, tubes, or paddleboards right in front of the house! Unwind around the fire pit with seating for six, perfect for roasting marshmallows while soaking in the mountain and river views. The porch swing/bed is a guest favorite place to relax and watch the river flow by!

This weekend could not have been nicer. Waking up every morning to the water view with the mountains in the back ground was one of the best parts. We will definitely be using this as our weekend get away in the future.

The cottage was wonderful, fully stocked with everything needed to make it feel like home away from home. Beth communicated very well about everything, all questions were answered promptly. Prefect place for taking our dog fully fenced in yard. Being nestled between mountains was breathtaking, listening to rain come over the mountain was relaxing and soothing. 1000% would stay again.

The location exceeded my expectations so much that I don’t want to review because I don’t want others to book before I do for next year! The home, location and view were so lovely and worth every penny. There wasn’t anything missing in the home that I felt I needed to run to the store for real quick. Enough space inside and out for my family to gather but also spread out when we needed a break.

Our small group of siblings and spouses enjoyed our stay at the Rose River house! House is very clean and decorated beautifully. Kitchen is well equipped and the cofffee bar was a hit with our family. The s’mores and little extras was a wonderful and surprising treat! The views are spectacular! The gas grill worked wonderfully and the deck area was well lit and a favorite spot! The only thing I’d recommend- take down the pretty swing …and add a couple more rocking chairs to the porch . (2 old timers tried to beat each other to the one each morning lol. The fenced in yard was wonderful to keep our 2 pups happy and contained too. . We will definitely be back . Thanks for a great stay !

Cozy, quiet, and peaceful river side cottage. The house was very clean. Each bedroom had a fan [loved that!] Coffee bar was well stocked with a variety of kcup coffees and some tea. They even left us some s'mores ingredients. Sitting on the porch and deck was our absolute favorite thing to do. We love to look at birds and being by the river did not disappoint. Host was very attentive and easy to communicate with.Would definitely recommend!!

This house is a clean, tidy house on a property with a beautiful view of the river and some of West Virginia's MANY mountains. The house is very close to the town of Montgomery with some restaurants, but isn't far from the nation's newest national park and the larger town of Fayetteville with some fun restaurants like the Secret Sandwich Society.The owner was gracious and quick to answer any questions and made sure we were taken care of. The house is spacious and though there were only two of us, we could easily have brought our kids. We didn't take advantage of the firepit and outdoor stuff (it was HOT), but there is a dock and lots of outdoor seating and a nice little yard with a great view of the river.

This is a must stay property. We loved celebrating our anniversary here. So peaceful and so accommodating. The host was in contact with me to make sure we arrived safely and if there was anything we needed. We have rented cabins in the past and I have to say this is at the top of our list. Highly highly recommend. Everything you need is there.

This is an awesome cottage. Very clean and a good location. The host has thought of everything.

We had a great time. We had smores at the firepit and spent the days at the national park. The drive to and from is absolutely beautiful. We will definitely go back!

Perfect waterfront spot

We loved the quaint neighborhood and beautiful riverfront views. The house had everything we needed and we were able to go out for adventures during the day and come back to relax, fish or make dinner for the evening. Great spot! We’ll be back!

Rose River Cottage is a gem! The outdoor spaces are so nice and the fenced in yard was a treat for our pup that you don’t find at many properties. Beth is a great host; she promptly responded to all questions and really wanted to be sure we had all the comforts and amenities we wanted or needed. We visited the area with the purpose of going to New River Gorge National Park. The drive there from the cottage was beautiful not too far with several nice waterfalls along the way. Train lovers will also love this cottage as many of them passed on the other side of the River.

I am a local small business owner who loves to serve my community and travel. I've enjoyed staying at other short term rentals so much that I decided to host one myself when the opportunity presented itself. I am approaching the end of my first year of hosting and I now know that this is definitely my passion. I believe you will feel welcome and at home in our little piece of heaven, on the Kanawha River, here in southern WV!

Rose River Cottage was my late mother's primary residence. She loved to sit on the porch and admire the beautiful river and majestic mountains. I couldn't bare to sell it after she passed in 2020, so I am sharing it with friends like you! We keep a weekend open every month to gather as a family and enjoy the space. I think you will feel the sense of family when you visit. We hope to host you soon!

We are uniquely situated right between the state's capitol and the country's newest National Park. Not only that, but we are directly on the Kanawha River. The house is in a tight knit, sleepy residential area, but it faces the river so you feel more secluded than you actually are.
