Large, nicely decorated, secluded home on the mountainside of Ojochal surrounded by rainforest. Beautifully groomed gardens with tropical flowers, and exotic birds and occasionally monkeys. Large patio, separate sitting areas, each with its own fan. Relaxing infinity pool. Large carport. 15 minutes from the beaches and some of the best restaurants in Costa Rica. Relax, unwind and enjoy.

We absolutely loved the eight days we spent at this incredible house. Our hosts were very welcoming and met us when we arrived. I had a few questions while we were there and got responses almost instantly.The house was spotless. There wasn't anything that we needed that they didn't have. The pool was fantastic. There wasn't a single day that we didn't swim or chill in the pool. We enjoyed seeing the toucans and other local birds that came around every morning and evening. We even had a coati come visit a couple of the days. One evening we could see howler monkeys in a tree down below the house. Not only was the house great, but the entire area was wonderful. The people were friendly and welcoming. If you're an animal lover, I suggest a tour of Hacienda Baru, which is about 20 minutes away. We used Freddy Cascante. It was our favorite activity for the two weeks we spent in Costa Rica.We wouldn't hesitate to come back to this beautiful property. It's easy to feel the pura vida spirit here.

Costa Rican Paradise

The house is great. Prime location for the area. Sonya and Jan were very helpful and responsive. There was an internet outage in the area which wasn’t their fault, but they communicated with us promptly. Highly recommended.

Perfect setting for Costa Rican bliss

This is a truly beautiful home in a stellar location. The view will blow you away. The house is well-equipped and very comfortable. The road to the house is well-maintained and makes for easy access. 2WD seems reasonable in dry season, but I would imagine 4WD is key if it rains. The property owner and management team are all very responsive and helpful.

Overall wonderful stay for 5 weeks - a terrific house in a great situation. Being somewhat elevated (250-300metres), there was lovely cool air movement and we did not need to use the aircon despite hot temperatures down at the coast. The organisation was perfect - great communication from the host Alan and efficient and helpful connection with management team, A bit more detail in the setting up would have been helpful - there were some crafty inner drawers in the the kitchen units, which contained all sorts of useful gadgets - but we did not discover them until late in our stay. A bit of warning when the gardening team were coming would have been helpful as they spent a morning with all the machinery for cutting grass etc making a lot of noise - which we would have escaped with notice.The household equipment was mainly very good although the ice making part of the freezer did not work and the dishwasher should be anchored more firmly so it does not tip forward when the full drawers are pulled out.The swimming pool is magical, beautifully maintained and a great size. The gardens are one of the more disappointing aspects - very steeply sloping and too difficult to stroll around in but very picturesque. The sense of security was great and we felt wonderfully safe and secure. We would give this house and team the strongest recommendation and would be very glad to return in the future.

A Beautiful Property

A very beautiful and well maintained home with a view of the Pacific Ocean. The property manager lives a short distance from the house and was quick to respond to the few complaints we had. This home is a bit on the remote side and internet service was intermittent during the day, but as long as you're not planning on doing a lot of work form home it shouldn't be an issue. Several nice restaurants and things to do within a short drive.

Thanks for the review Greg. We had 2 internet providers while your were here, and you are right, the main Fiber to the jungle was not reliable. We have since switched companies (now Reycom) and they have been superb, no issues. The restaurants in the area are some of the finest in Costa Rica -- Exotica and Heleconia are two of our favorites, but so many to choose from.

SIMPLY AMAZING

This home is amazing. Breathtaking views. Very spacious even though it was just my husband and I. The home had Everything I needed to cook our meals plus some. We stayed 5 days in total and honestly didn't want to leave. This was our first time in Costa Rica and loved it so much that we toured a lot to build our own home on. We close into weeks. We spent time I'm Uvita with the locals and had so much fun. It's pretty easy to get down to the town. Everyone is so sweet and welcoming. Our flight got delayed a day and the owner allowed us to extend and extra day for the same price. He was so gracious. Wendy who was our concierge while there was awesome. She hooked us up with a driver while we were there and gave us a lot of good recommendations on restaurants. I highly recommend staying at this home of your planning a visit to the Ojochal/Uvita area.
