We are a quiet ranch home that sits on 8 acres with firepit, pond and bar.

Newly remodeled ranch home on 8 acres with all the amenities and a pond. We are private and off the beaten path but within a few minutes of restaurants, shopping, grocery and Wolf Run State Park. Salt Fork, Seneca Lake, The Wilds and the Big Muskie bucket are all a few minutes drive as well. The property includes both indoor and outdoor games, pergola by the pond, firepit, grill and outdoor patio with 6 chairs, table and umbrella. Inside the home are 2 fully furnished kitchens, laundry room, bar, living and dining room along with a piano. If you are looking for a quiet property to relax with a great view of the stars on a clear evening this is for you.

We do allow dogs for a $35 fee per pet per stay and we also have been renting for weddings. Book your stay for the desired amount of guests staying then its $750 for the venue rental for the day of the wedding.

We will have tables and chairs to rent in the near future as well along with white tent.

Anniversary Trip

Every year my cousin and I get together to celebrate our wedding anniversaries, since we got married 3 weeks apart. This place was a perfect location, with a beautiful view. The host was wonderful and the house was very clean. We enjoyed fishing in the pond. What a great trip!

Our Stay

We checked in on Saturday & left on Tuesday. The house was big enough for our group of 6 1 dog. It was clean & close to "The Wilds' where we spent Sunday. The property listed 4 bedrooms & accommodations for 8. Well, there was actually 2 bedrooms & accommodations 6. I think the owner should change that !

Pictures do not do this beautiful place justice!

We had an amazing stay here. The house and basement is huge. There is basically an apartment downstairs. Everything was decorated beautifully. The lawn and landscaping is so beautiful. The hosts were very responsive. We came from out of state to visit family and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Very conveniently located to town as well.

Stunning property with an excellent host!

First and foremost Jules was an amazing host! She was very responsive, accommodating, kind, and made our stay extra special with a few small touches. The property truly speaks for itself. We had a small wedding and everyone raved over the property. Perfect for seclusion and privacy. We also had really great wildlife experiences. We saw eastern bluebirds, green herons, and our biggest surprise was an excellent sighting of a bobcat. We would love to come back for a relaxing weekend eventually. Truly a memorable stay for all of us.

I was really happy with the property and abundance of extra sheets/blankets/pillows. The owner (Jules) was very helpful and timely in responding. The surrounding shops and restaurants were not as far away as you would think. I definitely recommend staying here.

Short stay on road trip from NY to IA

We stayed on a family road trip from NY to IA. This was a perfect midway point to break up our trip out. We visited the Wilds (the Wildside Safari tour is amazing) and got to feed rhinoceros and a giraffe. We also checked out Wolfe Run State Park.

Summer stay

Overall our stay was great. However there are some wasps that are digging in the window sill that are dangerous so we could not let the babies run around there. The house is looking great with the improvements that have done.

Loved It!

We loved our stay at Begonia Manor. The property was beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed time on the patio and hanging out at the basement bar. Jules was very responsive to the questions I had and even came over quickly when we realized there wasn't propane for the grill. We stayed here the night before we went the The Wilds and it was just a short drive away.

I'm an Interior Designer and live on a working farm. Small town girl...lover of simple things, horses, and really all animals. Outdoors, landscaping, music and art are some of my favorite things. One thing I have always dreamed about since I was little was to own a bed and breakfast/event venue. The opportunity to buy my grandparents estate presented itself last summer and we decided to take the leap and launch a second business. If you knew my grandparents you'd know they loved to entertain...so to share their home with you all is absolutely fitting!
We are beyond humbled and blessed to be able to honor their last wishes and keep the property in the family. Remodeling has been a huge task and I've put thought and work into every piece. The coffee table in the living room I made along with the dining table and hand drew my grandmothers cookie receipe on the kitchen wall. We want you to feel at home and make yourself at home while you enjoy your stay with us.
We are always looking to improve and add more things as we grow, so if you have a suggestion we would love to hear that too! Thank you for looking at our property and thank you for choosing us.

2 Fully stocked kitchen with pans, microwave, utensils, dishes, cups, toaster, blender, coffee pot, grill, dishwasher and huge refrigerators.

The option to have more than 4 guests stay for an extra fee is available. If you book more than 4 people we just need to know so we can set up extra beds for you. We are also adding holiday tableware, linens, serving dishes and extra pretty table decor so you have options to decorate for your holiday dinner or event. ❤️
