Such a much needed get away. The cabin was a perfect combination of rustic feel with all the amenities of luxury. It rained most of the time we were there, but all that did was make it more relaxing. From floors to bedding, everything was clean and very comfortable. Highly recommend!

The perfect getaway

From the moment we drove down the driveway relaxation set in. The cabin is a perfect mix of rustic feeling with all the amenities of luxury. Whether it’s a walk out in the woods or watching your favorite show on a comfy couch this place has both!

Amazing

This little cabin is amazing. The peace and quiet were exactly what I needed. The views of the sunrise/sunset, and listening to the night life ( frogs, coyotes, etc) was relaxing. Inside the cabin, everything appears new, the kitchen is stocked with everything a cook could need. The bed was very comfortable, and the large living space was more than adequate.If you like to fish, take a fishing pole, the pond has bluegill, and, supposedly, bass. Might be a little out of the way, but its well worth it.

Expectations exceeded

Our stay was fantastic. The cabin was perfect, rustic, but somehow included a woman's touch. We enjoyed the woods around it, as well as the fire pit near the pond. The cabin was tastefully furnished and everything seemed brand new. The king size bed was quite comfortable. We enjoyed the living room with plenty of seating and a large television. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything needed to prepare meals. We took a half hour trip to the town of Marietta where we enjoyed good food and friendly locals in the walkable and historic downtown. This whole area was new to us, but we will most certainly return.

Awesome Activities

Our stay was amazing! There were so many things to do, and it was perfect for a decent sized group. If you want to grill some BBQ, there’s a great grill ready to use. If you’re into fishing, the pond was awesome (I caught around 15 fish in a one of my outings). If you’d rather stay in, there are plenty of games in the cabinet and cards at the table to keep everyone entertained. And if you want to head into town, there are plenty of things to do nearby as well.Overall, the atmosphere was fantastic. The beautiful woodsy cabin had a cozy, homey feel that made it easy to relax and enjoy the weekend. We will definitely be returning!

Lower Salem Cabin

The cabin was wonderful, private and exceeded expectations. Everything you need…. Possibly forgot to bring is there. Very well stocked and the towels, sheets are first class. We chose this cabin because of its proximity to various attractions we wanted to visit. Amish, Point Pleasant, Asylum and West Virginia Penitentiary are all equal distances away. Pick a day, travel in a different direction. Stayed 5 nights in total and enjoyed it immensely. Owner communicates very well and wants to ensure you have an enjoyable experience. I would visit again without hesitation…. But I’d stay even longer!
