800 foot walk to a gorgeous tree-lined beach in a quiet area in a vacation town for islanders. Walking distance to a few local stops for food & drinks. 25 minutes from SJU airport. 10 minutes to El Yunque. 1 minute from Kioskos
Luquillo is home to or is close to many attractions. Do as much or as little with your time as you want, there are near by adventure parks, areas for waterfall hikes or natural water slides, boogie board, surf, shopping, eating, or just relaxing with your toes in the sand.

Yes, as listed it is a fourth floor walk up. Most people appreciate the security doors, while they aren't really needed most think its a good feeling in a new area.

Only downside is that it's on the fourth floor with no elevator and lots of gates to get into the place. Outside of the building really felt prison chic... Bad neighborhood...?

Close to a very nice Beach

It is a very clean nicely equipped condo. The hosts were great for giving us ideas for seeing some of the local highlights. I had a little trouble figuring out the security locks, but it seems multiple deadbolts are the general rule in Puerto Rico. The Beach out front is ideal for long scenic walks or snorkeling.

Extended Stay

The apartment was clean and very close to the beach which made mornings wonderful for sunrise by the beach walks! Located near everything needed from restaurants and grocery stores. The host was very responsive even letting us stay extra nights due to our Flight changes. The only con would have been remembering all the colors of keys to all the gates. But all in all a great stay with everything we needed would recommend for couples for sure.

PR arrival night

We landed at this location after arriving in PR, it was a pitstop for us before moving on to Fajardo. That being said, it was a clean space, cool with AC, and was within walking distance to the beach. Lots of steps to get into the property, which was highly secured.

Great condo

Bree was an amazing host, extremely responsive and even sent us things going on in town when we were staying. The condo was clean and secure. Great location for tourist things - we were 15 minutes from El yunque and fajardo. The kiosks were a few minutes away by car. Also stopped at local bar around the corner - El flamboyan- great. Only negative is you can hear some outside noise (i.e. loud neighbors). Overall, Would recommend!

Could have been better

The building smelled like bug spray. The Patio was overwhelming hot from the exhaust of the AC unit. Also was not aware it was on the 4th floor…no elevator. Not sure how someone handicapped would be able to stay there.

The listing quit clearly states it is not good for mobility challenged and that it is on the 4th floor. I am sorry you came on the day the building has pest control come & it bothered you. I did grant your request to leave with a refund for your failure to read the listing so I am not sure why the bad review.

Very happy.

Communication with Bree was awesome. She provided very detailed instructions how to get in the building and apartment. The host gave all the information and the recommendations we needed to not feel lost in the new area. The apartment was clean and with lots of towels, paper products and such. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty pots/pans/cooking spoons. Washed and dryer were great to have. Overall - we are very happy to find this awesome place to stay. Thank you.

We love Luquillo and enjoyed our stay here. The apartment had everything we needed. We appreciated the air conditioning so we could close our windows to block out the sound of neighbors partying late into the night. The unit could have been cleaner, but was in reasonable condition with a well-equipped kitchen (note there is no oven). We love being able to walk to the local beaches, grocery store, and local shops and restaurants. That said, it is not a beachfront property, nor is the beach or ocean visible from the unit. It's a 5-10 minute walk to local beaches. However, you can hear the ocean waves from the unit when the windows are open. The host was responsive and helpful.
