The BearFoote Chalet

Natural light pours in from multiple skylights at this classic family-friendly cabin, with charming touches and stylish decor that's sure to put a smile on your face. Located within walking distance to Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Zipline or Otter Falls Trail. There is also on-site basketball, pickleball/tennis, and a playground. Look out for deer and other wildlife from the comfortably furnished back deck! You'll be able to gaze out onto the mountains while you're cooking out on the private gas grill.

Inside, the full kitchen features full-size appliances, built-in glassware storage, and a breakfast bar with four log chairs for little cooking helpers. Settle in front of the floor-to-ceiling gas fireplace or light up the backyard firepit to take in the fresh night air. Essential amenities like a private washer/dryer (and board games!) will help make your stay complete. This cabin is close to the Profile Trail entrance, Grandfather Vineyard and Winery, Otter Falls Trail, and Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Zipline.

Very clean cabin! Had plenty of towels . Loved the given Shampoo, Conditioner and body wash . The cabin was in a great location and had a wonderful time . It was absolutely beautiful and loved being close to nature. The host was great and took no time to respond to any questions!! We loved loved loved our stay!

Great mountain get-a-way.

We enjoyed staying in BearFoote Chalet. It was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again. All information and communication was great.

This cabin was cozy and perfectly located between Hawks Nest Snow Tubing and Otter Falls hiking trails.Our teenage boys loved the bedroom with the loft. And the dining table was plenty large enough for our party of 7 to eat dinner and play games.A couple of notes - the fireplace puts off a pretty strong gas smell when it lights, but it clears up after a few minutes. There is a carbon monoxide monitor on a shelf next to the fireplace as well.If the driveway is icy, you can reach out to request ice melt be spread or just bring some with you.There is a coffee maker in the kitchen, it will brew up to 12 cups but uses the cone shaped filters, not the traditional ones.

Great weekend

Went snow tubing at Hawks Nest and Alpine Coaster. Good dining options close by. Kitchen well equipped, beds comfortable, very nice property.

Cabin in the woods

Nice cabin with plenty of room. Driveway a little steep but to be expected in this area. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed to relax, cook, and enjoy the mountains.

Family Snow Trip

The property was extremely clean and nicely decorated. We had no kitchen cloths for drying dishes or wiping down countertops so we had to purchase. We were happy to see the sleds left downstairs and the children enjoyed sledding at Boone Town Hall for free! Overall a very nice place to stay!

Alpine charm and serenity.

The back porch ambience and fire pit area created a positive impression upon arrival. It was also much used! The interior was clean and made a cozy, nicely appointed retreat for our 5 adults and two teens. We enjoyed hanging out, playing games, watching TV, and all of the fun activities nearby. We strongly recommend the Bearfoote Chalet!

The furniture and space is very enjoyable and mountainy. Great fireplace and everything works!! The late spring mountain view was minimal from the home. Driveway is steep for those that are concerned with such things. This was a perfect weekend chalet for our mountain getaway. Would totally book here again!

Everything was as expected, or better. Great views from inside and outside! The listing was accurate, and the place was nice and cozy. The driveway is steep, and I was nervous parking upon arrival... But by the second day, it was a walk in the park.

Very nice home in a convenient location

We had a great girl's trip at the chalet. The decor was beautiful and comfy. Fireplace easy! With the leaves gone we could see the sunrise over the mountains. Kitchen well-stocked and the bed linens were surprisingly nice! Our most talked about and favorite amenity were the heated toilet seats, LOL! Very close to Grandfather Vineyard and Winery, a lovely spot!

Great getaway with friends

We came up with friends and had a great time. The front porch is magical and the fire pit was fully stocked with wood. We ate our weight in s’mores over the long weekend. The WIFI worked great so we had zero service issues. Don’t forget: extra trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, sugar, dish detergent, laundry detergent. We missed the note about only 2 of 3 rooms having AC. It does get hot in the loft of the one room with AC and the room without AC in the summer. All in all, we will be back. The location is great and we enjoyed hiking, food, and the winery near by.

Great Home

Great home with good atmosphere. As described. No issues. But the driveway is very narrow with an awkward entrance and very very steep. But that was disclosed in the listing. A great location with a very cool friendly vibe. Everything you need, nothing you don’t.
