Couldn’t get a hold of the host

We have contacted the host a day prior to arrival. Got no reply. We showed up at the property and saw a torn /broken keypad lock. Couldn’t get in!! Stayed outside in freezing temp trying to contact the host. No luck. All messages went to voice mail. Contacted VRBO support. No luck either. VRBO attempted to contact the host with us on the call - calls went to different people!!! Very upsetting.

Perfect location for museum/Olympic park visits, difficulties finding the building and checking in

We were in town to visit the Georgia Aquarium and other museums, this location was a quick and convenient walk. Easy street parking. Make sure to double check the address and unit # -- there were two on the listing and we were confused. Also make sure to download the app to access the unit ahead of time. I thought there would be keycode access, and when we arrived, I saw only a Ring unit on the front door, which made me think I had the wrong unit. I had to have a VRBO rep connect me with the property manager who then gave me access to the smartlock via the app. I was able to access the unit without issue after that.

Property and location good, host less so

The location is great — extremely convenient to the aquarium and other downtown attractions. The unit is perfectly acceptable and was clean, although there was a very odd collection of food in the fridge and cupboards, and the Keurig was supplied with hot chocolate but not coffee. There’s basically nowhere in either bedroom to store clothes. The master has a couple of shelves in the closet but it was completely filled by an old mattress. There were a couple of usable shelves in the second bedroom but no dresser in either room. Now the less good. We had several questions and problems and attempted to contact the host by VRBO message and by phone and never had a response to any attempt: -messaged about parking before we booked: no response -asked for August app access before arrival per listing instructions: no response -couldn’t find the unit when we arrived (the address in VRBO is incorrect in the most visible section but correct in another section you have to click through to): no response to urgent phone call -the only message we ever received from the host was a seeming automated one days after we left, asking for a review Also take note that the keypad for the unit is Yale, not August, and you have to press the Yale button after entering the code. Finally, several of the photos in the listing are from another unit. They’re moderately similar and don’t really impact your expectation of the unit, but I don’t think it’s right.

Not good!

This property was not cleaned. Food is in the refrigerator. I had to get shirts out the dryer and change the beds myself. Nasty towels left in the bathroom. But I got charged a cleaning fee. I'm very confused.
