The Cozy Lookout - a perfect getaway

The Cozy lookout sits on 5 acres at the top of Thompson Ridge with a view for miles. We are just a short 5 minute drive to Rock House and 20 minutes from both Old Mans Cave and Ash Cave. Inside we have a cozy queen size bed and pullout full size sofa sleeper, full kitchen with cooktop, bathroom/shower and coffee. The middle floor is also equipped with a Hot Tub and movie room. Other amenities, 2 smart Tv's, high speed internet, Alexa controlled lights upstairs and many more. We have over 230 reviews on other rental websites for the same listing!

Weekend trip

Cozy little place for 2. Great at night, view off the back porch was great for stargazing. Movie room was hot so bring a fan if its gonna be warm out.

Nice cozy place with great view

My husband and I went for our anniversary. It was a great little place that was close to other areas so we were able to get to places easily! We went to Rock House for a hike and it was a great! We recommend Mams Rusted Skillet and Ridge Inn restaurant in Laurelville for food!!

Cute little spot

Really enjoyed a weekend stay away from the city. Was super cute and quiet i slept so well. The veiw was supper nice and hottub was so relaxing.

Perfect getaway

Great little spot! It had everything we needed for a quick getaway. It was close to hiking trails and we loved the fire pit and hot tub after a long day out. We would stay again!

Good placs to hang your hat for s few days

The view of the water was fun to watch all the boat activities. Access to the building's pool was a plus. Its also a easy location for drivers to pick up, drop off

Cute and cozy!!

The property was very cute and maintained. The house was very clean inside and well equipped for our stay. The hot tub was very clean and sanitary as was the kitchen and bathroom. It was a very pleasant experience for us and we've recommended the property to our friends and family. We'll be back as well.

It was very clean and cozy. The shower was very small and hot tub was a little dirty and could use a little more privacy. Overall it was good stay and would stay again.

It was clean but very small bathroom and didn’t like that you had to go outside, down stairs and open door to go outside again to hot tub, didn’t use it.

Cozy Getaway

This space was so lovely and intimate! Just perfect for my boyfriend and I chasing some peace and quiet. Hot tub was clean and nice and hot upon arrival, the space was very clean, and I loved the extra touch of firewood outside the house for the firepit! The owners were also flexible about us needing to move days when a conflict came up for us. So thankful we were still able to come and enjoy some time away. Highly recommend this space!

Perfect Relaxing Getaway

Don’t judge a book by its cover. When we pulled up, the exterior seemed a little rough, but once we got inside, it was a cozy little getaway cabin. As soon as we stepped in the door, the room smelt fresh and clean. Everything we needed was super accessible. The bed was comfortable. The hot tub felt like an oasis. We turned off our phones and had a lovely “unplugged” evening.

Hocking hills getaway

It could have been overall cleaner l. The hottub was disgusting. Hair floating everywhere and there was a dirt ring around the edge.

Cabin stay

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. No real surprises...the bathroom is small just like the listing said. Outside and down steps to the hot tub...just like other reviewers said. Not a real problem at all. The only negative I have with this property is two flights of steps to cook on the grill. If you want to eat on the patio near the fire, this is not a problem. There is an Alexa device in the cabin which we listened to practically the entire time...a very nice touch. We would stay there again for sure.

Nice

The place was nice and in a quiet setting alongside the road. The upstairs living quarters were nice and clean. The bathroom is small and would not recommend for larger persons. To get to the hot tub or outside grill you must go down the outside stairs and through the lounging area. The hot tub needed cleaning so we did not use and the grill area could have used a good sweeping due to the many dead bugs and leaves. Overall, it was a pleasant place to stay for a few days on the spur of the moment planning.

Not ideal, not sure it was cleaned between stays

The house isn’t quite what I expected but it was still an okay stay. Make sure to get entry instructions, I had trouble entering and had to call host. The biggest let down was the hot tub, as I had booked this property specifically for the hot tub and movie area. The smart TV wouldn’t connect to the wifi so we were unable to watch anything on it, but more disappointing was the hot tub. It was filthy. You could see dirt and skin spots on the walls above each seat, and the filter had a THICK layer of dirt built up on it. My girlfriend spent 1 minute in the water trying to clean the sides and it only made it worse. This cause me to think what else wasn’t cleaned between each stay and made the whole thing a bit uncomfortable. The shower is pretty small and it was a bit of work dealing with the odd angles of the shower heads. The view was decent, but probably wouldn’t stay again. Price didn’t match the space in my opinion. Hot tub being dirty definitely ruined stay.
