This house was custom designed and built from the ground up (2013) on a piece of property that makes you feel like you have found heaven on Earth. It boasts a small carbon footprint from insulated concrete form exterior walls, geothermal radiant heat floors and water heater, solar light tubes, and LED lights. No luxury was spared in building this in-law suite for my mom, who has since purchased her own home. From the expansive, travertine master-bathroom to the chef's kitchen, you can feel the love that went into building this space.

The house is incredibly well insulated, and our goal is for you to not even realize we are under the same roof. However, if you need an ingredient for dinner or a forgotten toiletry, there is a dumbwaiter to your pantry that allows me to send things down without disrupting your stay.

I am one of those people that would rather rent a stand-alone dwelling. So I understand the desire for privacy, and I assure you that this is better. We will not be seen or heard, but if you need anything, we are just a text away.

It is hard to believe that a tranquil location like this can be found so close to the local hospital and three colleges/universities. For people who enjoy the outdoors, summer and winter activities are abundant within a 45-minute drive! This rental could be perfect for traveling health care workers, families coming to visit college fledglings, a private, romantic getaway, or for a family wanting to reconnect with each other and with nature.
