Cozy Cottage perfect for a couple or small family

This cozy cottage is just minutes from downtown Durango as well as two miles from Lake Nighthorse which is a lovely large recreational lake. The well appointed layout of this newly remodel space has a large downstairs bedroom, a gabled upstairs area that can accommodate an extra guest or can be used as an office. The kitchen opens up into a spacious dining area as well as a living room with a large screen TV and a sleeper sofa, that sleeps 2. The full bath includes a full bath and show, and a combination washer/dryer unit, prefect for small loads, while traveling. If you are looking to sit outside and enjoy the sunset dipping behind the mountains you have your own private side patio, if it is chilly out the sun room is a great place to relax. Enjoy all Durango has to offer with hiking, paddle boarding, mountain biking and whitewater all within 10 minutes of this great setting.
This is a classic mother-in-law space that shares a wall with the main house.

Kristin and Shawn have a beautiful home and vacation rental that is very comfortable and relaxing. We regularly saw deer in the back yard. They live in an area where it is safe to walk along the road with little traffic. We had a great time there. Danny and Jonna.

Just a short 2 night stay in Durango. House was clean and had great coffee choices. Love that they had Ryze mushroom coffee. House was clean and just as described. Great internet service with Starlink. Only suggestion would be better porch lights. Solar porch lights didn’t really give off any light.

Great property outside of town. Quiet neighborhood and great host. Bed was comfortable and everything was stocked above and beyond. You can tell a lot of thought goes into making their guests comfortable!

It was everything they said it was. Very clean and quiet. The location was out abit but not bad although coming home in the dark one night was alittle difficult because of the road signs were small and I wasn’t familiar with the roads. I would highly recommend this property.

Even though we only stayed a few nights we really enjoyed how secluded the rental was. We were able to enjoy Main St. Durango, and the quiet tranquility of the VRBO. Great location for any type of activities you're wanting to do while you're in Durango. It's super close to the downtown area, and also close to Lake Nighthorse where you can hike or have fun playing in the lake. The home had everything we needed, and plenty of space for the next time we hope to visit with our kiddo.

We came to Durango to visit Fort Lewis college and this was a great space for my son and me. We enjoyed seeing deer and turkeys around the neighborhood and it was nice to have a quiet space during our busy days!

Great location and house

Me and my family loved the house and the location. Evening walks on a dirt road saw deer and amazing sunsets. Great location easy accessible to Durango an hour away from Mesa Verde. Would stay and recommend this place to anyone

Wonderful getaway

This property was perfect for our getaway to Durango. Kristin was around to answer any of our questions. This is a quaint little cottage that offered all of the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. A little off the beaten path of the downtown area, but we appreciated the quiet, peaceful setting.

Cozy Cottage in Durango Corado

Cozy Cottage in Durango, COThis spacious, spotless cottage felt like a home away from home. The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked with coffee, tea, and a few welcome goodies in the fridge. There’s also a loft—great for families—though we didn’t need it. We especially enjoyed the enclosed porch, perfect for relaxing and spotting wildlife in the backyard. Just 15 minutes from downtown Durango and the Durango & Silverton railway station, the location is ideal. We highly recommend this charming and peaceful getaway!

Quiet and comfortable

The house was perfect for a longer stay. The kitchen was nicely stocked, and the living space was comfortable. The location offered a good jumping off point for the excursions we took around the area. Overall, we were very happy with the property.
