Private family-run waterfront beach house near Carova firehouse on 4x4 beach.

Our canal waterfront beach house sleeps up to 14, offers 6 bedrooms and 6.5 baths (5 can be private). Perfect for larger groups in the summer and small groups/families/couples in the off-season. Consider this gem as a remote get-a-way with 9 miles of beach driving after the pavement ends in Corolla, adding to the fun. 4wd vehicles are a must for your trip to Leap of Faith.

Amenities and key points include: boating access to the bay, volleyball court, basketball hoop, large pool (open approx May 15 to Nov 1), hot tub, ping pong, pool table, tons of games/puzzles, paddle boards, Two 4-person pedal boats, tandem kayak, bbq grill area, fire pit, roof-top crows-nest deck with ocean views, planetarium night skies and full skyline sunsets, and a straight-shot sandy 5-min walk to the beach.

Wild horses regularly visit the property and often hang out to graze. Beautiful cranes visit to fish the canal. The dock is great for fishing, just byo gear as we do not provide rods.

Sleeping:
The master/king bedroom is on the top floor with the remaining bedrooms all on the middle/second floor. Overall there are 3 king bedrooms, 1 queen bedroom, 1 bedroom with two twins, and 1 bedroom with two sets of bunk beds. Bed linens and bath towels are provided, with additional blankets available.

All bedrooms have their own private bathroom with tub and shower except the bunk room which is connected to the queen room. Both the queen and the bunk rooms also have direct slider access to the rear decks and can function nicely as an independent 2bd suite for multiple families. The first floor also has a comfy sectional sofa with a queen pull-out bed and a full bathroom with tub and shower.

Floor by floor:
The top/3rd floor has the master bedroom with large bathroom that includes a separate walk-in shower and jacuzzi tub. Watch the sunrise from bed. It also provides the main living spaces including the kitchen, great room (living/dining), 1/2 bath, ships-watch tower (great for reading), and fully-enclosed sun room (great for games). The rear decks are accessible from both the great room and the sunroom and include chairs and tables.

The middle/2nd floor has the main entryway, 5 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms and laundry. The rear decks are accessible from the hallway, queen and bunk rooms, and the hot tub is located on this level of the decks, along with chairs for relaxing.

The lower/1st floor has the rec room with pool table, ping pong top, kitchenette with full size refrigerator, sink, and microwave. There are also two large sofas and a second living/hangout area with it's own smart TV and full bathroom. This level has direct access to the carport, outdoor shower and pool entry.

Technical:
Wifi is available on every level, and every bedroom is equipped with a smart tv. Speedtest regularly at 300 Mbps download or higher. The great room and first floor living areas also have smart tv's. The great room tv also has a Bluetooth sound bar with separate bass speaker. There is also generally good cell reception everywhere via the nearby cell tower.

This house was super clean with tons of room and things to do. The owners are great and easy to communicate with. I enjoyed the house very much. The only thing I would recommend for those that are unfamiliar with this beach, is to have a 4x4 vehicle like a Jeep or SUV and do not drive at night....Also know that the location is a little far from society and things like uber eats is not available, so plan accordingly. It is not as easy as just getting in your car and going down the street. It is secluded and off the beat and path.

Amazing experience!

This property is even better than pictures can tell you. The wild horses came to visit, and our group never ran out of things to do. It’s saying a LOT that 8 teenagers never got bored, and the parents felt safe about the things they could do. The house has everything you need for a fabulous vacation, and the hosts were responsive and wonderful! 10/10 recommend.

Highly recommend!

Everything about our stay was exceptional. The instructions and communication prior to arrival were complete and clear. Marty was very responsive with all of our questions. He has a great heart for hospitality and it shows through his communications and care for the property. The property was clean and well stocked with basic necessities. There are many amenities to enjoy at this property. The house is great for a large family to enjoy and the location is ideal for a peaceful getaway. We hope to return again!

Leap of Faith is a Must!!

Our family loved staying at Leap of Faith. The beach house was amazing. There is so much to do and that's without leaving the house. We did it all...basketball, volleyball, pickleball, pool, ping pong, paddle boards, petal boats, swimming, puzzles, games. I'm sure I'm forgetting something. The view was amazing. The horses visited us almost every day. We also saw a doe with twin fawns, coyotes and lots of dolphins. The weather was perfect for walking the beach to look for shells and using the boogie boards in the ocean. I loved the fact that you had everything we needed and more for the beach...chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, sand toys, beach games, etc. We couldn't have ask for more. Thank you for being such great hosts. So in a nutshell, we enjoyed it all!! If there is a family out there looking for the perfect beach house to stay in, look no more! Leap of Faith hands down!!

4x4 Getaway

This was our family’s first time staying in the 4x4 area. It was awesome! The house is a mini resort. Something for everyone in our group! Great location and the horses in the yard were absolutely beautiful! We definitely will be back!

Relaxing Carova Beach Retreat

We really enjoyed our stay at Marty's Leap of Faith house on the canals of Carova Beach. The house is very comfortable and well appointed. Water access is better than pictured with a recently dredged canal. The pool and hot tub are great and the house is a quick walk or drive over the dunes to the beach. Lots of fun water toys to explore the canals and we enjoyed a morning fishing charter in which the captain picked us up directly at the dock. Great trip. We're looking forward to planning our return visit.

A break from 6 children

When we were looking for a fun quiet weekend away from homeschooling we found this beautiful property. We were able to stay in all weekend and the fun never ended. October might be too late for the pool but its never too late for their giant hot tub. We very much plan on taking all our homeschoolers for lots of beach fun next year .

Perfect Family Reunion Vacation

Couldn't ask for a better place. The location to the beach and fishing on the lake in the backyard was great. The horses visiting often was a plus. The kids were never board and so much space.

A vacation to remember

It was everything we could want. We had a pool, horses almost every day, paddle boat, paddle boards and kayaks to take out. There was a hot tub that the others enjoyed, I went out every day in the paddle boat and sometimes by myself. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to keep clean. The bedrooms were perfect. We had the beach and then tons of fun in the evenings playing board games. It is a vacation we will never forget. The owner responded to any questions or needs we had. One day I just sent him photos of all the horses in the yard. There is nothing I can say that was negative and hope to someday got back.

What more can you ask for?

Our stay at Leap of Faith was wonderful! There was something for everyone in our group. The amenities at the home went above and beyond our expectations. There was a wide range of indoor activities - pool table, ping pong, numerous board games and puzzles, smart tv’s throughout the house, including a sound bar in the main living area. Outdoor there was the awesome pool that had various floats available, a hot tub, volleyball court, corn hole and a canal where we enjoyed using the kayaks, paddle boards and paddle boat. Our dog even enjoyed a swim in the canal and hopped on a the back of the paddle boat for a ride. The kitchen was stocked and there were plenty of bath towels for everyone. We were in communication with Marty every step of the way - from before we booked until our stay was over. He was quick to answer questions and even provided useful suggestions. We did not need contact him during our stay because we had no issues with the house but he contacted us to ensure we were enjoying our stay and to see if he could provide any assistance with any questions we had. And finally the horses - this property seemed to be one of the horses favorite spots. They visited us daily and hung around for a long time. We even saw one playfully rolling on its back outside the pool area. This is a great place for families or a group of friends.

Perfect mix of fun and relaxation

This property had something for everyone in our large group (16 people)! The kids enjoyed the ping pong, pool table, swimming pool and volleyball, while the adults enjoyed the kayaks, SUP boards, reading nook, rooftop lookout and hot tub. It was a short drive/walk to the beach. We enjoyed daily visits by the wild horses and saw other wildlife as well. The house was clean, spacious and well stocked with basic supplies. The owner of the property was so very welcoming and helpful. We would definitely love to stay here again and highly recommend it to other large groups!

Leap of Faith

Where do we begin. We planned this vacation with 2 other families. 8 Kids, ages 7-17. A vacation we probably wouldn't have taken if we all didn't say yes to. This perfect house was chosen. We are from the Northeast. Our food was pre order from Delivery Genie and in the fridge before we arrived. If you are traveling far this is a strongly recommended. You are 9 miles out on the 4x4 beach and frankly you won't want to leave anyway. But it is a 30 minute safe ride after airing down. Take your time don't rush and ruin your truck or large SUV. 25 mph is still fun beach ride. 15 is safe. Our host answered text/emails within minutes for months in advance. The house has so many of the little things you don't need to over pack. Canal dock in the back yard plus the pool, kayak and paddle boards make afternoons relaxing after the beach. This house is comfortable. Multiple areas to relax in anyway you want. Rooms were comfortable. We had 14 people total. Pool area is clean and great shade in the afternoon makes it nice to come back to after a beach day. Volleyball court is a cool feature. Had a couple hours of laughs in the eves out there. Horses-horses-horse every day. On the beach, in the dunes, in the canal, next door, multiple times a day. Stay away 50ft, leave them alone, but beautiful to see just wandering around. The beach was awesome warm water most days, nice waves most days, back right up to the water. All in all awesome, 5 out of 5

Quite the adventure

Great spot with quick access to the beach. Horses graze on the property in the mornings and a dock to kayak off the back. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is a must to fully enjoy the experience getting here. Lots to keep the kids occupied as well as the adults.

Adventure

The house was very spacious and private! The beach and ocean were beautiful! The horse were on the property and at beach everyday!! That was amazing! There was so much to do on property as far as games, puzzles, pool, fishing, paddle boarding, and kayaking! Almost everyone in the group paddle boarded for the first time!! We even made several trips on the water out to the bay or sound. We saw so much wild life! Both the adults and children really enjoy there stay! Very nice place to stay! If you like enjoying earth's pure beauty this place is for you!!

Great place to relax

This property offered multiple options for us. It's close to the beach, but just far enough back to be private but not remote. We walked out the front door to the bay canal for fishing. The horses graze at the house. The house was very spacious with a lot of amenities for our comfort. We recommend this house if you are going to the 4×4 beach.

Fantastic home!

This was our third year staying at this terrific property! The host is there for anything you need. The house is huge with plenty of activities. Also on the canal with a short walk to the beach. We had everything we need for a great week in Carova!

Our stay at Leap of Faith was a 10+++. The house was spacious, clean and had everything we could possible want. We really got in touch with nature without leaving the property…from horses to the birds. Fishing on the property was great. and it was only a few minutes drive to the beach. Marty was great with communicating before we had to ask and a superb host. We will definitely be back…thank you Marty.

Something for everyone!

We have visited Corova for the last 8 winters and our group agreed this house has been our most favorite! Plenty of space for our group of 6 teens and 5 adults. The house is close enough to the beach to still enjoy our morning walks and shell hunting during low tide (the owner was kind enough to leave shell bags!) but with the added excitement of water activities as adults and kids enjoyed going out on the SUP, paddle boat and kayak each day! The house layout works well for large groups as I was able to sneak away to a cozy corner to finish my book, the entire group sat at the vast table together for big breakfasts and the teens stayed up all night in the pool room without keeping everyone else up. We loved the volleyball court and the adults may be going home sore but the teenagers have bruised egos. We even enjoyed a ping pong tournament! We had many game nights, as the house is fully stocked with board games appropriate for all ages. Overall a great experience with our family that kept everyone entertained even on rain days. And to top it off, plenty of horse sightings in the yard! We are definitely interested in staying here again!

Amazing property

This property has it all! The many levels/bedrooms can easily accommodate multiple families or groups. Private canal access, heated pool, full sand volleyball court, as well as easy beach access. The entertainment room is on the lower level and has a pool table, ping pong, fridge, sink, and a TV area. We took a kayak out on the canal and were able to see the wild horses romping around. We had an amazing week in the OBX!

My wife and I rented this house for us, our dog, and 3 other couples. The house is literally a straight shot off the beach access road. When you pull up it feels totally private! The house was very clean and well thought out. There's basically every activity a beach/canal house could have. We used the pool and hot tub heavily. A few of us jumped on the paddle boards and explored the canals. When we did go to the beach we loved being able to drive straight to our spot with the truck, beach chairs and cooler without having to carry anything! The section of the beach the house is off of is super wide and spacious. It wasn't crowded and other cars didn't bother us at all! We're definitely booking it again next year! Martin, the owner said he was planning more upgrades and we can't wait to see them!

I purchased this house in 2022 as a tribute to my parents, Liz & Neil. One of their greatest joys was entertaining family and friends, and this house represents their love of bringing people & families together for meals, fellowship and an overall great time.

This house has just about everything you could possibly want... privacy, incredible views, easy beach access, canal access for motor boats or jet skis, heated pool, hot tub, paddle sports, pool table, volleyball and more. It's a special place and feels like home... I can't wait for you to share it with us. :-)
