Redemption Ridge: Animal Rescue Estate with private pool and spa on 7 acres!

This is an animal rescue sanctuary founded by Laura Zwahlen in Liberty Hill, Texas. Laura has a huge heart for animals and moved from California to Texas, to open a rescue ranch. The award winning property is situated on 7 acres and features an open floor plan, stunning resort style private pool and spa, four bedrooms, a wrap around porch with hammock swings/fire pit and of course, horses, goats, cats and pigs. A perfect setting for a family get together. An escape to heal the soul!

Five minutes from downtown Liberty Hill (a nationally recognized Dark Sky Community!) and 15-20 mins from Leander, Georgetown, Burnet, Bertram and Cedar Park; this home is remote enough to feel like an escape from the craziness of life, but also close enough to major retailers and eateries to make your stay comfortable. Breathtaking renovations completed in Jan 2025 including all 4 bathrooms (including an oversized master bath), foyer and interior flooring throughout the home! And most importantly…pool and spa with tanning ledge and waterfalls. Pool is fully outfitted, featuring Frontgate lounge chairs, a large shaded pergola and fountains/bubblers.

The walls are covered in custom paintings of former foster animals who have gone on to their forever homes.

Originally founded as an equine rescue ranch, the farm is now the home to two barn cats, two pigs, two goats and two horses. All funds accrued from rentals aid the ongoing work and rehab of neglected animals in the state of Texas.

The home has everything a leisure or business traveler may need. Smart TV, wifi, fully operational kitchen, etc.

Events are unfortunately not permitted. This home is suitable for up to 10 people maximum. There are 5 beds that sleep 8 people. Additional twin memory foam and/or queen air bed is available for groups with 9 or 10 people total.

A note on pricing: The base price assumes 4 guests. A small incremental fee is added for each additional person up to 10 total as more people=more wear and tear on our home. This also allows smaller groups to enjoy the space at a reasonable rate! Please ensure the number of people on the reservation is accurate to avoid additional fees. Due to a few dishonest folks, we sadly have to confirm headcount accuracy via exterior security cameras. If changes need to be made to guest count, no problem. Just let us know.

We're proud to boast 100+ 5 star reviews on this home b/c we take very good care of it. As such, shoes are not permitted inside the home. This helps keep the rugs immaculate while keeping the space allergen free for those that want to enjoy animals but do so in a very clean space. Our own child has severe asthma/allergies so this policy is strictly enforced for his safety and the safety of our guests with similar health challenges.

Outside Visitors to the property: If guests wish to have outside visitors over that are NOT on the reservation, guest must first clear this with the host. Evidence of undisclosed visitors will result in a $250 fine per undisclosed guest. Guests not on the reservation are not permitted to stay overnight. Parties/events are strictly prohibited.

Guest Count Limit: Please note, there is a 10 guest maximum. Guest is aware no more than ten people total, inclusive of those staying at the home AND any outside visitors that might drop by to visit, cannot exceed ten people. This is not our own policy but a local governance in our community for all short term rentals with steep fines for violations. Example: if you have a group of 6 staying at the home, any outside visitors to the property cannot exceed 4 people as that equals 10 total. We are sorry, there are no exceptions to this as we have been fined before when folks chose to disregard this guideline. Any evidence of groups larger than ten will be fined $1000, in line with the fines we receive. This is also why no events are permitted.


Primary renter must be age 25 or above and must be part of the group staying at the property. We do not permit groups where the person renting is not staying onsite.

Please take a moment to read house policies below. This states the house guidelines you are agreeing to when you rent. A short rental agreement will be sent out prior to check in that simply restates the house guidelines that are called out below. Please note we do require guests review and acknowledge the agreement before check in instructions can be shared. Access to the home cannot be granted without a signed agreement.

When you book this listing, you agree to respect the following rules:

-Quiet Hours outdoors between 10PM and 8AM.

- Please NO shoes in the house. We have a child with a severe lung condition and this simple step helps keep him safe by keeping out allergens that track in on shoes.

-Absolutely NO pets are permitted on the property. 1) We have a young child with life threatening asthma/allergies and 2) we have rescue animals on the property that are terrified of dogs, etc. If a guest brings a pet onto the property, guest aknowledges they will be charged a deep clearning fee of $1500 to remove the traces of pet dander. We really don't want to have to do this, so please don't bring pets.

-No smoking of any type (cigarettes, marajuana, vaping, e-cigarettes) is allowed anywhere on the 7 acre property. Any evidence of smoking will result in a $1500 deep cleaning fee.

-No food or drink in carpeted areas. All of the area rugs in the home are custom and all upstairs carpet is brand new. Huge kitchen and dining area with tile to enjoy meals.

-No candles please.

-Fireworks are not only illegal in Durham Park, but can cause injury to our animals and others. Any use of fireworks is strictly prohibited.

-Please input actual number of guests upon reserving the home. No more than 10 people are permitted. No exceptions to this. Thank you for understanding.

-If guests plan to have people over that are not on the rental agreement, host must approve prior and no more than 10 people TOTAL can be on the property at one time (this includes those staying onsite plus any outside visitors. This is not our own policy but a local governance for all short term rental property and carries steep fines for violates so we have to be strict on it unfortunately. Thanks for understanding.

-The red and white barn on the property is for the ranch hand only. Please do not enter it as sharp tools are present.

-Our wonderful Ranch Hands Luis and Jessica stop by to feed the animals once per day. They do not enter the home and will not interfere with your stay.

-There are surveillance cameras outdoors only on the property as part of the security system. They cover the entrances and exits to the property, the pasture and the backyard. There are no cameras inside the home.

-POOL and SPA RULES: no children under 12 may use the pool or spa without an adult present.
-Proper swim attire is required to enter the pool and spa.
-Children who are not fully potty trained must use a swim diaper and any resulting impact or required drainage of the pool due to non compliance will result in the loss of the entire security deposit.
-Guest agrees to NOT put the pool furniture (chairs, umbrellas) into the pool water as it is not waterproof
-Guest agrees to turn off hot tub when not in use and every evening to help us preserve energy
-Guest agrees to close and tie pool umbrellas (if they were used, simply putting them back in the position you found them) each evening. The ranch gets quite windy and with that wind the umbrellas can be damaged if left open and even blow into the pool.
-Guest is aware there is no gate around this pool and children of all ages MUST be supervised.
