L'Atelier - Maison avec piscine face au volcan

The Workshop is a restored old building in Haute-Loire, at 700m altitude — just a few minutes from Brioude amidst hiking trails, village markets, and volcanic landscapes.

Four independent suites, (Gentian, Aubrac, Pouzzolane, Prairie), welcome travellers in search of a real bed, a real shower, and a bit of space to breathe. Second-hand furniture, natural tones, stone and raw wood: the decor authentically tells the story of Auvergne. Outside, a saltwater pool, chlorine-free, and shaded terraces face the volcanoes; inside, a living room with a wood stove awaits cooler evenings, and a fully equipped kitchen allows for preparing a meal without depending on the local restaurant.

The Workshop caters to couples on a getaway as well as groups of friends or families who prefer to have the place to themselves, for a weekend or a week. People come here to walk, to do nothing, to gather around a long table, or to explore the lakes, volcanoes, and local producers' markets — the owners, on-site, know the best places and routes.

The place has been thought out room by room: quality bedding, modern bathrooms, private terraces, wifi, free on-site parking. Nothing superfluous, everything needed for a good night's sleep and a good meal after a day outdoors.
