My husband and I stayed here with our 10 year old daughter for 5 nights in March 2018. First off, the pictures do not do this place justice. This home, and the others surrounding it are high-end homes with gated security. The owners are amazing to work with - offering us great travel tips, etc., prior to our stay. We quickly settled into a routine while at the treehouse: breakfast on the deck (where we saw monkeys every morning, and dolphins in the water), spent the mornings on the beach, lunch at the house where we would then play in the pool for about 2-3 hours before heading back to the beach to play some more and watch the beautiful sunset. This was our daily routine for 5 days. We considered taking a boat to San Juan but simply couldn't bring ourselves to leave. The beach is beautiful and clean; very safe. One day we wandered over to Gigante just to say we went to another beach, and it was beautiful and sandy and had nice, calm waves (although a bit of a trash problem as, it seems, all of Nicaragua struggles with). Before settling into the treehouse, I would recommend stocking up on groceries at Colonial, because, really...you won't want to leave this place! The treehouse has a fully stocked kitchen with purified water available to you. Gerald, the house manager, speaks English very well and is very helpful if you need anything! Prior to staying at the treehouse, we spent 3 nights in Grenada doing all our travel adventures there, so having the treehouse at the back end of our trip was perfect. I have never seen my husband so relaxed. When I first booked this place, I thought "really, am I actually going to see monkeys here?" But, yes, you will see lots of monkeys. One large male came down to our pool one morning and took a long drink of water. We saw babies even. It was just the three of us staying here, but a large family would be very comfortable. I imagine this being an ideal getaway for a large family at Christmastime. What a dream come true!
