Cute Little Hideaway
I needed a place to recoup and quarantine after a liver transplant surgery. This cute little house had some remodeling done to it... Flooring, paint and such. Sadly the foundation seems to have cracked during the drought and the house slightly leans to the front bedroom corner. A golf ball picks up speed when placed in the hall. The cozy living room became not so cozy when the handyman came to work on the unit nextdoor... You could hear everything the man was doing, from sweeping to hammering. Not great for the recoup. The big deal for me was we were told there were no shared spaces and the other unit would not be rented, and yet the handyman brought his laundry over several times. One time my husband was in the wash room during the time. Also, be careful using the walkway out the backdoor, the pavers are not set, and when it rains, the runoff from the roof hits the walkway making it dangerous.
While there were some downfalls, the owner was always super nice, accommodating, and helpful. The place will need some repair work since the foundation crack (foundation repair, wall and ceiling patched and repainted, tub resealed), but once done, and some soundproofing between units is done, it will be a perfect hideaway that's less than a mile from a beautiful park.
