Spend the day exploring the mountains and then feel right at home in this private Craftsman-style home sitting on over 2 tree covered acres. Relax on the covered back porch or enjoy the firepit while you stargaze at night. Less than 1 mile away from the Blue Ridge Parkway and just a few minutes to Little Switzerland or Spruce Pine.

Unlimited hiking potential awaits with Crabtree Falls and Linville Falls nearby. Mount Mitchell, Roan Mountain, Grandfather Mountain, as well as James Lake all within about 45 minutes as well.

The cabin includes a primary bedroom and en-suite bathroom on the main floor, with the remaining two Queen bedrooms and full bath upstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, cookware, dinnerware, spices, tea, and a coffee maker. A washer and dryer is also available.

Enjoy high-speed fiberoptic internet and cable, as well as fresh linens and towels. A starter kit of soaps, detergent, and paper products are also provided.

Wonderful weekend

We stayed at this gorgeous property for a long weekend. It was so clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay away from home. Communication with the owners was exceptional. I highly recommend it, and we will definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

Beautiful peaceful property

This was a lovely cabin in a peaceful quiet setting. The hosts kept in excellent contact for any questions. The kitchen was fantastically equipped with all the utensils, pots/pans and even spices for us to take most meals in. The bbq utensils were all provided as well. The rooms were clean and also well equipped with towels and laundry. We would definitely stay here again!

Loved the Quiet

the cabin was wonderful. Even better than advertised. Saw deer, rabbit and squirrels. Directions indicate to take Leatherwood road off of 226. The road off 226 is actually Lynn Gap. Not a big problem but a bit confusing. Loved our stay. The cabin is very well equipped.

Cabin in the Woods

What a delightful few days in this sweet cabin snuggled into the woods. We will definitely be back to enjoy this clean, quiet, and well-appointed hideaway. Our favorite part was the back deck, where we sipped coffee in the morning and wine at dusk. Loved the open kitchen and the feeling of being one with nature. You can book this cabin with confidence!

Incredible Property

This cabin and location was perfect for our brief visit. The cabin appears to be brand new and all aspects of this stay were outstanding. After a long day of hiking, we decided to cook at home. The kitchen is very well equipped and everything was easy to locate. The entire cabin was spotless and there were very easy and clear checkout instructions. While this was a very brief trip(less than 24 hours) I would not hesitate to revisit for future stays.

Forest Chalet

We stayed June 24 - July 2. This chalet is newly built with every amenity. Check in and check out was easy. The location is private and hidden in a forest near the Blue Ridge Parkway. We learned not to rely on Google GPS since it was inaccurate. Beautiful views!

Wonderful Cabin in the Woods

Tucked away in the woods, this cabin has just what you need for some rest and relaxation. Conveniently located between Spruce Pine and Little Switzerland, visitors will have many options for exploration and food. The cabin is well built with high quality furnishings throughout. My family and I first stayed in this cabin in May of '23. We had such a great experience that we opted to stay here again in '24. If you're looking for a well maintained cabin with modern finishes in the mountains of NC, I highly recommend staying at this one.

What a great cabin!

Four of us stayed and had a wonderful time. The firepit was perfect and we appreciated the wood being available. The place it so clean! They ask that you not wear shoes inside which wasn't a big deal to us. The kitchen was great. They had everything we needed for the stay. The hosts were great and responded immediately to our inquiries. There's a Walmart fairly close if you need to restock on items. Easy access to to Blue Ridge Parkway to see the leaves changing. Definitely recommend.

Nice, newer property

This place was perfect for us, just a few miles from my cousins place tucked back in the woods but very close to town and the Parkway. Beds were firm but comfy.Kitchen was very nicely appointed with dinnerware, cookware, etc.. We’ll definitely stay here again next year.

Great Mountain Getaway

We loved the house in the woods. House was exceptionally clean. Very modern and very well furnished. Very quiet, yet close to downtown Spruce Pine and to Little Switzerland. Everything we could have wanted or needed was provided. It was great to have a supply of firewood for the fire pit. We enjoyed evenings around the fire pit. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful stay close to Little Switzerland

We had a great short stay at this cozy and spotless hideaway. The cabin was comfortable and close to all desired activities. The teen in the group loved the gem mining at Emerald Village. The hiker drove us to Wiseman’s View, and we all enjoyed Grandfather Mountain. Evenings were quiet and relaxing. We would not hesitate to visit again. Thank you for sharing this beautiful spot!

Fantastic Stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! Our best Vrbo experience to date actually. The house was beautiful, super clean and perfect for our family! Location was great too. Clean cabin getaway

Clean, quaint, and close to downtown Spruce Pine, this cabin proved to be exactly as billed. The hosts are responsive and understanding. All of the amenities from shampoo to kids utensils are available in this cabin (good quality items, no less). If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway in the mountains this is a good fit. My family (wife and three kids - five years old and under) had a great experience and would stay here again in the future.

Wonderful mountain getaway

We're a family of 4 with two small children. We love to get outside and explore all our state of NC has to offer. We love the NC coast, but we especially love Western North Carolina and enjoying all of the Hiking, restaurants, and creativity it has to offer.

Almost every weekend in the Fall and Spring, our family takes a hike through the woods.
It's not always a long hike with having young kids, but it gives us a moment to reset, and lets our kids explore. From this, we decided to find a house in the mountains to give us more time to enjoy the views and have a place to bring the extended family.

The views of the mountains while driving up, the proximity to hiking and the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as the quiet that surrounds the house, made us fall in love instantly.

You will be amazed just how quiet it can be sitting in the back of the house. Hearing a mountain stream in the background, it's a great place to reset from the normal day to day.
