4 bedroom 2.5 bathroom lakeside cottage with 3500 sq ft. Full home gym. Dog friendly. Floorplan is mobility-limited accessible

Separate extra apartment with private entrance may be added to your rental when available. Sleeps 2.

Centrally located between Madison (25 miles) and Milwaukee (50 miles). 1 hour drive to Wisconsin Dells, Devil's Lake State Park, and Baraboo area.

Ideal for remote work, extended friendship getaways and fishing trips (northern pike, largemouth bass and smallmouth bass), yoga and meditation retreats, a romantic week with your beloved to reconnect, and making family memories. Life is better by the Lake!

Perfect for triathlon training with lake, bike trails, and running on your doorstep.

Very private setting, next to 13-acre nature park with trails and lake frontage. The private road is narrow and accommodating more than 2 vehicles is possible but please clear before booking.

There is no deeded lake access for this property. Town of Lake Mills boat launch is ~1 mile to the North and City of Lake Mills boat launch is ~3 miles South (at Sandy Beach). Bartels Beach is 1 mile away and Sandy Beach is 3 miles away with sand, playground, and food trucks (Sandy Beach).

Fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, and canoeing are easy with public access less than 0.1 miles (2-3 minute walk) from the front door through Tyranena Park.

There is a small apartment w separate entrance inaccessible — when not occupied by the owner, may be added to your rental/rented separately and includes a king bed, bathroom with shower, desk, coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, electric tea kettle, and toaster. Sleeps 2.

Comfy at the lake.

Our stay was great. The owner has created a comfortable setting. They did a great job of equipping their home to meet their guests needs and comfort plus many extra touches.

Great stay in Lake Mills

The house was perfect for us and our family, including a 7 month old grandchild. There was plenty of room for everyone to hangout, sleep, and work. The host was super responsive and helpful. Lake Mills is a fun place to visit. It offers good restaurants and is also a convenient distance to Madison.

Family Time at its Best!

This house was perfect for our large family gathering with wide open spaces, comfortable accommodations and everything we needed to prepare some meals and hang out together. Abigail was very responsive to any questions we had and went over and above with flexibility and meeting our needs. The master suite was wonderful with its lovely tub, walk-in shower, and screened-in deck. Highly recommend!

Sunset Road Rental

We rented this house for 30 days for vacation and to visit family in the area. It sits at the end of a quiet street near the lake but with limited access. It is a one mile walk down to restaurants and a nice public beach and picnic area. The property can accommodate a large family. The house is adequately equipped but it could use some updating and maintenance. The owner Abigail is great. She was responsive to communication and accommodated any requests we had. We enjoyed our stay.

Heaven by the lake

This place is fantastic! I had family come into town and this place delivered everything we could have wished for. We were able to have room to spread out, some playing games, some outside on the deck, some working out, some cooking - even grilled out. The place is well stocked with everything you need for cooking, playing, sleeping and even working out. One niece is training to climb Mt. Rainier and another is training for a triathlon. The equipment here is top-notch. Rooms for sleeping everywhere and the primary bedroom has everything. Owner was amazingly kind and considerate, very responsive. Highly recommend!!!

House Review

The property was as expected from the listing. It was fully stocked with items for kitchen, bathroom and bedding. The owner was fantastic to communicate with. That was extremely appreciated. My suggestion for a rental would be to rid the house of all the area rugs for hygienic reasons. Abigail, the battery box is in the lower drawer of the desk. Thank you again so much. We really did enjoy our week in Lake Mills.

Wonderful family getaway!

My family so thoroughly enjoyed our stay! (We had 2 adults and 4 kids there) The house was so comfortable, well stocked, furnished, and I literally never heard anyone say they were bored. The beach was about a 2 minute nature walk through a lovely little park right outside your front door. It felt like we found our own private swimming hole- very cool. The house had games for all ages, books, DVDS, great workout equipment, beach toys, a kayak, all the kitchen staples to really cook—we wanted for nothing. The host was very easy to work with and explained everything very clearly when communicating before our stay. I cannot say enough great things about this property- an enthusiastic 5 stars!

Beautiful lake house

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful lake house. The house was fully furnished and was in walking distance to downtown. The homeowner responded quickly to any of the questions that we had. The only issue that we had during our stay was that the homeowner was staying in the attached apartment with the separate entrance. We would have been fine with this had we have known in advance. It was a bit concerning that someone had access to the house and our items while we were checking out the lake or downtown Lake Mills.

Perfect home in a perfect location

We had an extended stay on Sunset Lane and couldn't be happier with our stay. The house was spotless and fully furnished including the kitchen. It's walking distance to downtown Lake Mills. We had a few questions during our stay and the communication with the owner was great - she was quick to respond and easy to talk to. I highly recommend Sunset Lane and the Lake Mills area!
