Excellent stay

Location was perfect. House was super cozy and great layout. All kitchen items that we needed were available. Perfect quick walk to beach. Check-in process was a breeze.

Awesome house and surprisingly quiet.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The only thing we can suggest that would have made it better was bath rugs in the bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked. Great location and plenty of room.

Great location

We had a hard time securing car passes at the gate. While I had the confirmation papers from VRBO, the owner apparently cancelled us and we had no way to get in touch. Thankfully Ocean Lakes understood with the VRBO papers and finally let us in. We had the same problem later in the week when the rest of the family came.

Amazing time away from home

We had 12 in our party. House was perfect for us. Short walk to beach. Location was perfect. Property owner/manager great to work with. The only concern was the railing on porch needs repair. Ocean Lakes is a great family resort. Highly recommend this listing.

Perfect location for family vacation

We were pleased with the space we had in the house for 12 people. We did have to bring one blow-up mattress to sleep 12. Some beds were not as comfortable as others. The location is ideal. In a quiet part of the campground yet so close to everything. Just two houses between you and the beach and a very short walk to the pools/slides. Lots of seating at the pool, and slides and lazy river were enjoyed by all of us. The teens got a big kick out of the nightly golf cart parade from dusk till 11pm. We did have to rent a golf cart. Not included with this house. We’d come back here in a heartbeat.

Great layout and location

We loved the layout of the house and the proximity to the beach. The large living room and the seating were perfect for our family and especially the little ones. We had everything we needed.The size and layouts of the bedrooms was really good. The house definitely needs some maintenance and improvement. None of the toilets flushed well and required a sustained amount of time holding the handle to get it to flush properly. The decks and railings are old and dangerous with loose boards and nails sticking out. The kitchen cabinet laminate is peeling off and the kitchen counter is old laminate with an extra piece added on the end that doesn’t match up. We had a few issues with lighting. Communication with the owner was great and it was taken care of. The above items weren’t communicated with the owner because there wasn’t really anything she could do about that for our visit. Overall, we had a great time but we were not happy with the condition of the house.

Stairs/railings have been replaced in fall 2023 along with several toilets. Entire lower deck replaced winter 2023. We always appreciate and reciprocate timely communication to ensure we are providing the best experience for our renters!

Ocean Lakes C8

Overall it was a good place to stay. The location is great, we were able to walk to the pool, ocean and other amenities with no need for a golf cart. The house could use a bit of work in our opinion. Nothing too bad but little things here and there like cabinet finishes, countertops, some of the cookware needs updating. The upper deck/patio needs some work it didn’t seem safe to us. Most of the issues look to be related possible water damage in the past and again I stress none of it was particularly major and did not effect our vacation. Owner/managers were quick to respond and communicate about any issues. Probably wouldn’t hurt for pest management to spray regularly. Not sure how common palmetto bugs are in the campground but noticed a lot outside none inside thankfully. Overall it was not a bad experience. I would suggest ownership review some of the repairs and installs though as some of the DIY work was a little suspect particularly with the flooring and deck/patios. With a little more work this place would be a gem of a place to stay. I would consider renting again if we were to return to Ocean Lakes.

C8 is right in the mix of it all!

Megan was extremely easy to communicate with throughout the entire process, even when I had to contact her to get the thermostat situation figured out. The location of C8 was just perfect. It was within walking distance of many major OL attractions. Not needing to bring bed linens and towels was great. The kitchen was fully stocked with all appliances and accessories. No golf cart was ok, as we were able to rent what we wanted from OL, even though they’re very pricey. The living room was more than big enough, with plenty of couch space, to accommodate our big group. A few recommendations, as we regularly stay on OL: 1) get a new grill. This one is a bit banged up and hasn’t been cleaned in some time. Blackstones are inexpensive and very durable. 2) Take a good look at the railing coming up the outside stairs and lower deck raining. Some spots are very loose and could use to be firmed up, especially if someone is grabbing them or leaning against them. Otherwise, we have absolutely no complaints. This was a great 2 weeks at OL and C8 helped to make it that way. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Family Memories!

Great Location, super close to beach and pool, lots of room for 8 adults and 4 kids, needs more information on advertising page, didn't say to bring on linens and bath towels, but would definitely recommend and stay again🙂

Ocean Lakes C-8

This is the second time we have stayed in this house. Communication with the owner is very easy and there were no questions about what was expected to be done by either party. This is definitely a property we would rent again.

Beautiful location, close to all ammenities.

There were 8 adults and 3 small children in our party. Plenty of room for all, clean and well maintained property. Campground was amazing with all the activities for the kids and adults. Even with the weather not being too warm this time of year there was plenty to do and everything you need can be found right in the Campground. There is a Walmart across the street from the main entrance. Golf carts can be rented cheaply and are a fun addition to your stay. There was a daily Campground fee of $8.00 per day for each vehicle that we weren't aware of and was payable at check in. Only thing I would recommend for the house is that the TV in the living room be wall mounted. It currently is on a small stand and we were fearful of the kids knocking it over. Planning on coming again !
