Cute little country house

The house was very clean, and Lisa was great and so helpful with any questions we had. Would definitely stay there again next year!

Great Location

Perfect little with decent neighbors. Older house which could use alittle touching up but the overall stay was great. The host was kind and caring to make sure our needs were meet.Thanks.

As described

Unfortunately we did have a communication issue related to check-in. Host was responsive and accommodated to the issue and we had a great stay. Local to shops, Walmart and food. We were in town for a traveling sports event so fulfilled our needs.

Hidden gem

It was a great little place. Big enough to relax, cook up some meals, spend time together and make plans for the day. It was very tidy. Having a washer a dryer to use was awesome. And the landlord is just the sweetest woman. I would stay here every time i go to visit family in the beautiful bayou. Close to gas stations, walmart and car wash a short way up the road, everything you need in a very short distance. It was an amazing stay! Thanks again for allowing us into your home.

The house is not what we expected based on reviews, needs updating especially the bathroom. Relatively clean but it was very musty when we arrived that we had to eliminate with damp aids, air fresheners, and running the air at a lower temperature. It is the nature of the climate in LA but every other indoor space we were in during our visit had the humidity and musty odor controlled. The refrigerator was completely turned off when we arrived so no where to out groceries initially until we got it cooled. Stocked well in some areas but lacking some basics that most places provide like handsoap, towel racks in the bathroom, hand towels in the bathroom, and very few hangers. No information of where to take out the garbage. The neighbor house had vehicles blocking the pathway to the driveway at times. The host was relatively responsive but I do not like to have to contact them about a alot of issues. Would not choose this for ourselves again.

Loved it!

The host is really great! She is very thoughtful, speedy with responses, and always ready to be of assistance. The house was beautiful, clean, and it exceeded my expectations. There were even little things added that I did not think to bring for myself. I did not need to go to the store for anything during my stay. We were able to relax and enjoy the peaceful quiet. We certainly have plans to visit again! I give it a 10/10.

Unfortunately, our experience was very different from “cute, cozy, comfortable, & super convenient.” Pre-arrival communication was fine, but the property itself was not guest-ready.The furniture was visibly stained, torn & grimy enough that we covered it with sheets. We found multiple nail clippings, including one on a bedside table, a used toothpick, & a previous guest’s towel still hanging behind a door. The refrigerator, silverware organizer & dishes in the cabinets were dirty. The house had a strong musty/mold-like odor.There were also safety/maintenance concerns: only 2 of 4 stove burners worked, the oven had to be unplugged to turn it off, the kitchen light worked intermittently with the bulb against/near a curtain, the ceiling fan felt unsafe to use, and the exterior door did not reliably latch.The listing also did not prepare us for the setting: feet from a busy highway in a commercial area, with a gas station/car wash immediately behind it, and a shared driveway with a neighboring property where garbage/debris extended into the access area.Yes, we stayed, & no, we did not contact the owner. These were pre-existing, readily apparent conditions that should have been addressed before our arrival. We had each driven 6 hours to spend a limited holiday together and chose to make the best of it. Had I arrived first, I would have left. Older is not the problem. Dirty, poorly maintained & uncomfortable is different. I would not stay again.
