Best house for family vacation

This house was perfect for our family vacation! It was so close to the Marina for our boats and there was a grocery store right down the road. The house is huge and has so many amenities to help us enjoy our stay.

Our family and friends had such a wonderful time here. They house is beautiful and cozy. Plenty to do around the house or on the lake!! The owners are very kind and easy to get in touch with. You can't go wrong staying here.

Perfect Family Weekend

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Hearthstone Retreat. The location was perfect for a few days on the lake and a day trip to Eureka Springs. The pictures of the property were on point and the physical accommodations were excellent. Our family enjoyed the fire pit and game room the most. The hosts were very easy to communicate with from booking to checking out, it was all wonderful. We will certainly stay here again!

Wonderful home to relax and enjoy!

Enjoyed our stay at this house. Everything was clean and lots of space for all of us to hang out. Decent location although close to the highway and no water access or view. Plenty of options nearby that worked out just fine.

Outstanding!

Our stay was outstanding! Very clean, great communication with owners and a very convenient location. Shell Knob Family Time

This house was just perfect for our family of 13. So clean and spacious. We had such a wonderful time, no issues, no worries. We were visiting friends in play-a-port area and we were just 6 mins to go to the lake and having the grocery store just across the street was a plus. We would stay again if we return with the whole family, great memories were made.

Great fun!

We had a wonderful time staying at the house. Everything was very clean and organized when we arrived. There were plenty of supplies and the kitchen was well stocked with equipment. Communication with the host was very smooth and any questions I had were answered promptly. We traveled with five kids and they spent countless hours playing ping pong in the game room. We also had plenty of room in the house to spread out and do our own things. If there were any “negatives” we were surprised at first to find the house right off the road but the convenience of getting to stores and marinas was worth it.

Southard Family summer Trip

We were extremely pleased with our decision to stay for 6 nights at The Hearth Stone Retreat in Shell Knob, Missouri. We had a very memorable stay. We re-bonded with our teenage grandchildren. Our group rented a boat and tubed on Table Rock Lake; our younger family members spent a day at Silvef Dollar City; we went to the dinner and play at The Shepherd of the Hills; we toured the Titanic Museum; we ate hamburgers, fries and had peach cobbler with ice cream at Billy Bob Dairyland in Branson; we attended a very energetic performance of The Haygoods at the Clay Cooper Theater in Branson; we attended a stunningly beautiful production of Queen Esther at the Sight & Sound Theater in Branson; we ate a wonderful Italian dinner at Ermilio’s Restaurant in Eureka Springs; we ate some really delicious, warm cinnamon rolls with pecans from The Root Cellar in Shell Knob; we spent an evening watching fire flies and sharing Sasquatch stories around a fire in the fire pit behind the house. It was a very memory-filled 6 day stay. Thanks to our hosts, Catherine and Richard Ramshaw, for having the vision to build this wonderful home and filling it with everything you will need to have a terrific time with your loved ones. We hope your stay here will be as life-affirming as ours was.

Richard and I have four kids, but now that they have grown up and moved out, we spend our time and energy on flipping houses. We've always had a dream of owning a bed and breakfast since our marriage in 1989. In 2022, after exhausting ourselves with three house flips, we decided to use the proceeds to purchase a property at Table Rock Lake. We've worked tirelessly to create a place where families can come together and make great memories.

Richard and I have had a great time working together to make Hearth Stone Table Rock Retreat a reality. We hope that it will be a place where you'll want to return again and again, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Located in Shell Knob, Missouri, on what is known to be the quiet side of Table Rock, vote #1 Lake in America, offering access to both sides of the lake, is the expansive Shell Knob Bridge, 1 of 3 bridges crossing this 43,100 acre lake. If you have ever mapped your way around Table Rock, you know that the distance from one place to the next can prohibit a trip.

As hosts, we pride ourselves on our quick response to your messages, usually within minutes. If there are concerns, we are happy to provide our cell phones and have local staff for emergencies. Many past guests have cited our response to messages as one of the appreciated benefits of the property. We've tried to think of everything to make your stay enjoyable, and our prompt communication is just one way we ensure your comfort and peace of mind.

How can a grocery store bring high marks to a vacation experience? Because locally owned and run Harter House caters to the resort community, offering a broad assortment of meats and prepared sides, making your grilling experience a breeze or pop over and bring home a hearty breakfast of biscuits and gravy. They even fry your bacon! How do you improve bacon? Have someone else cook it!

-The Shell Knob Bridge allows immediate access to both sides of the lake, giving you a prime location with the convenience of over 800 miles of shoreline, more than California.
-As one of only three bridges spanning Table Rock Lake, Shell Knob Bridge offers easy access to attractions on both sides of the lake, making your stay more enjoyable and efficient.
-Public lake access is just over the bridge, only two blocks away!
-For marina access, we recommend Campbell Point Marina, just 4 miles from the cabin. Call ahead to discuss accommodations and boat slip availability.
-Don’t own a boat? No problem! Campbell Point Marina offers a variety of boats and all the fun toys that go with them for rent.
