Neighborhood not so great!
We ended up leaving 1 night early. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, it is walking distance to bathhouse row and we did walk it, but not after dark. The neighbors next door to us in the duplex had someone walk in their place at 5:30 in morning. That was very alarming, we both tried contacting Lin, no answer and reply to text. They ended up calling the police, I had to contact VRBO in order to get a response from Lin. Once i finally got in contact with her she explained it was her son who accidentally went into the wrong place. The neighbors who it actually happened left and didn’t finish their stay there. We decided to stay after talking with Lin and her telling us it was her son. Then we get back from our day’s adventures and across the street was a man dumping out trash cans and digging through them, home owners couldn’t get him to leave and the cops were called. Cops show up and argue with him for a while and finally get to walk away, while the homeowner had to clean up his mess. At that point with cops being called twice within not even 12 hours we decided to pack up and head home.
The door has a code pad on the outside with no way to lock the door from the inside. I think there should be some sort of lock on the inside so if someone who know the code can’t just walk in at any time. And I also think that it would have been nice for Lin to have answered our calls or at least returned our calls once her son went back and said he walked into the house with people in it.
